I have started wondering...is Aran even close to good job after BB?
I mean...
We don't get new skills, it seems our skills are only getting nerf, we still can't cwkpq, can't ellin forest pq, can't get the ultimate adventurer buff and it's hard as hell to get decent end game weapon in gMS...And for me, it will be hard to get those books that all still seem to drop from Zakum. Yellonde doesn't really have European friendly times for any boss runs.
Will we get any boosts? Motivate me! Why should I play Aran after BB?
oh and also:
If Arans are s*it after BB, then I'm quitting. Not that it's hard to level new job, but I have my witch belt, time traveler medal, nx and everything on my Aran.
You're not getting weaker, thats for sure but if you have problems with boss runs already and live in europe, why not try out EMS? We just got pink bean yesterday and yes, we have arans aswell also we're catching up.. What would you had lost is some content but hey, when balance patch comes you can at least get crit ring o_O. Also psb is pretty common in ems, seeing as it drops all the time.

CWKPQ.
Big loss? No. Want to do the PQ for fun or profit? Just use another character. Want MoN? Why? Without the ability to be potentialed it is kind of lackluster.
New skills.
Why would they get any, the job was what the adventurers are turning into from the get go.
End game weapons.
Just as hard/easy to get what ever your job is. Sure axes and blunt weps are cheaper, but polearms has been deflating by a good deal lately.
Zakum skillbooks.
Join a run, pay your way in or start a group of your own. Or just save up and buy them.
If you are only playing Aran because of the old god job status, then by all means quit. That goes away.
Like the playstyle of the Aran? Cool! They will simply not get boosted as much as others because there is no need. The fact that other warriors will match and/or surpass an aran does not turn it into a bad class, if any skill receives a nerf it is simply for balance. Watch a few aran vids post BB, they look totally fine.
Summary.
If you find the aran to be your class when it comes to gameplay, stay on it because it will not suck. If it is some kind of ego tool, quit it because it will not automatically be the best warrior.

Decent end game weapon: Purple Surfboard(nearly impossible to get), Arclaive (500 woods, 80 dex as req, expensive), Machlear(barely any partys at DRPQ, hard to get, can't scroll with normal scrolls)
Zakum skillbooks.

Thing is, that it seems that when classes are having equal equips, Aran is one of the weakest. I have no clue what was the reason behind all the nerfs. According to Ellinforest, many Arans have quitted after BB. So obviously there is something off there.

Gotta agree with this.
If you're level 101 getting back there wouldnt take a long time, also PSBs are like 40m for a clean one.
Else quit if you play for the damage, tho IMO post big bang gear matters more than class.

I have my friends in gMS, I have my Bishop, DK and Aran here. Not just that, but it will take long time for BB to arrive at eMS. Then there's the channel system, I like my channels in English only.

Damage formula is different after BB, I would assume you already knew that.

What is this... this is totally different from training pre-BB, but way more repeative. But really...will Rolling Spin be main skill for Aran after BB? In other post-BB videos rolling spin still isnt used once.

Well, he certainly isn't killing any faster than if he used normal attack. Was rolling spin always that fast?

that....seems so boring! ill stick to my overswing (: it seems fast cuz they have purple boards f3
Isn't there an event in KMS after BB patch that has something to do with those blue picnic coolers handing out PSB's possibly?

Yea, seems like he'd be using a psb for it to be that fast O_O.
Either way, dunno if the updates i checked were outdated, but as long as rolling spin is 95% success rate at max, all other skills are more important to max besides it. Personally i only put 1 into rolling spin for looks.

It's summer event, so even if those gave out purple surfboards doubt we would get them.

Does global still have an all-adventurer bossing policy/stereotype? As far as I can tell, it hasn't changed much. Literally every version uses most classes for boss runs except GMS. Even when arans and such go, they're mules, not a core part of the bossing run when they can support themselves.

Bossing in GMS depends on two things- connections and equips, and more so connections. Plenty of Arans make high end boss runs, a few of my guild's Aran's were in the first successful Chaos Zakum of Demethos, and are key members in our horntail runs. They certainly weren't "mules" either. Even low DPS classes like Archmages and Evans make boss runs if you got yourself a good group of friends or set of equips.
Then again I've only been in Demethos the past couple years, it's been awhile, but it was like this in Scania too. I got in plenty of boss runs on my LOLArchmage.

You can make any class and have a good bossing career in GMS.
...Except cygnus.

You can't see damage clearly here but point is, rolling pin isn't used as main skill, that video you posted was probably to show rolling pin as a useful skill or something.

Coulda sworn that the last time that rolling spin video was posted that they mentioned that the video was just of an aran screwing around with the skill because the damage was nice. It wasn't an advertisement for rolling spin as a main skill.
