When should DEXless convert?

I'm currently working on a DEXless Hermit and I'm curious as to when I should convert to low-DEX. Lv78 right now, I'm equipped with the following:

Average ZHelm.
49/5 Skanda.
11 ATT SCG.
20 LUK Sauna.
2/10 LUK Pink Cape.
2 ATT Facestompers.
Deputy Star.

I've got several upgrades planned to better my equipment, but I'm also wondering if I should just save up in preparation for converting to low-DEX. Is there an average level around which I'd benefit from converting, or is the sooner the better?

It really depends on what claw you want to wear. Scarab, too late. Craven? If you have enough money for the dex (which you probably should). Sleeve? You might want to wait a little bit more.

I wouldn't convert until you have a scrolled HT pendant... once you convert you have to aim for a craven/dragon sleeve.

If you have that plus a decent attack glove, sure. You might slow down a little bit towards the end, but you'll probably last.

The answer isn't up to the posters here as much as ... yourself. It depends on how much mesos you have, how much you can afford to spend, and much DEX gear you need to buy in-able to equip a Craven/Sleeve. With the Skanda these days, no point to convert to DEXless Scarab, there's not really a huge noticable difference. Either aim for low-DEX Craven, or even better (if you got the funds).. DEXless-Craven.

also if your able to convert to low dex >_> then that means you'll beable to afford a decent Raven claw or w/e that new 80/90 dexless claw is XD

also consider when watk is worth a lot to you... meaning worth more than any amount of luk can cover. also if youre able to pull out a lot of dex without losing much luk and without adding too much dex to wear things like 60atk cravens.

it depends on what the low dex is holding and what their other dex equipment it. if its a dexless scarab user, and the scarab is like 60 atk, its well worth it to use the scarab even at level 90. you dont have to be level 14x to convert from dexless to low dex. your claw should dictate how you decide to upgrade yourself.

Once you convert to low dex it will be really expensive real money wise to buy resets and lower back down. My plan is to wait until I get my zhelm and horntail pendant and then see where it goes from there.

With the new higher lvl dexless claws you can stay dexless along time and still be on the up and up with everyone else.

I would think it wouldn't actually be worth it to convert until post-100 when equipping a Craven is actually possible. A 55+ Skanda will already match up with a lot of the Scarab-Casters users, and the extra LUK should equate for the loss in about five W.ATT on average.

@Kasuhitomi: Yeah, you're definitely right on that. It's a very subjective thing, but I posted this so I could learn what the general consensus is so I can then make a comparative decision for my own needs. n_n

Unless you're planning to hit level 200 very soon, before new dexless claws are released.
At least now we already have the level 90 dexless claw.

Or if you want to go dexless (25 dex base but wearing claws that require dex), yes, scrolled HT necklace would be of great help :)

Even in case you're not much funded, I still suggest you keep being dexless, cause it's easier to support a char with pure luk equipments, doing the same damage as a low dex one.

well i dunno about NLs BUT ima a dexless Dragon's Tail Shadower... and i have noticed that i pretty much deal good damage for my lvl. I dont regret going dex equips and just go pure luk. If u have the money to do so, then by all means do it. :]

i used to be a str user but i had str equips ( + 30 str ) i didnt have shield at the time but i used wagner until i was able to use fan which was 99 attack. i was hitting close to 1200 savages per hit so i dunno but i just recently stoped going str and just got dex equips and got DT :p
