Terrible idea, but I love it!! XD

I like the medal system and all the stat boosts it can give players, and I especially love that other people can see how much of a perfectionist other players can be by checking the "Collection" in the character information screen.

BUT....

I would really like to see medals that add elemental boosts like the elemental staffs. Saint Exorcist could provide something like a 5-10% holy boost, and have others that involve really long and tedious/hard challenges in order to boost the other elements. I would also like to add that if this were to be implemented, then the medals shouldn't stack with the ele staffs if the elements match up, but cancel out any of the elemental penalties that the ele staffs give to mages.

This idea was inspired by me finally becoming a Paladin and going after Saint Exorcist so that I could be a "true Paladin". I figured that since mages got items to boost their elements, other classes that have elemental skills should be able to get them as well.

If anyone thinks this idea would be terrible...well...look at the topic title!! :tongue:

While we're on the subject, I like the medal system, but I hate the way they add an extra line to our name or chunk of text to our megaphones. I want Nexon to do away with the colored titles altogether, make the medal crests more distinct, and stick them next to our names the way a guild emblem works for the guild. That's really not so much to ask. is it? The name of the medal could even be revealed on mouse-over if people are so inclined.

I agree, It will be boring to see Timetraveller under every single character after this event.

The medal system should be revamped to something like Vindictus
Where doing quests = medals = Stats= Achievements
This would make Maplestory so much more for fun....
