3 times now I've gone to solo pap and the first form is no problem. With apples I can KB and use puppet and max out bombs.
But, for some reason, 2nd form doesn't stay aggroed to my puppet. I get pinned and after waiting for 10 minute of it not moving and all my buffs running out, I don't know what else to do.
Am I doing something wrong at 2nd form? My puppet is has the max timer BTW.
I've got 4k+ HP with my 113/4 casa equipped but that's not gonna help with the 5K damage from second form

Well, you have to hit 2nd form at least once before you cast your first puppet. Remember that 2nd form is a different monster from 1st form so it will completely ignore any puppet you may already have out.
If you were aware of all that already, the only thing I can think of is that you're casting puppet while you already have a live puppet out, making 2nd form aggro'd to nothing, and then immediately you.

It looks like I puppeted too early while my puppet hadn't died yet.
BTW, why does the guide mention jump casting puppet? If I get pinned and it does float away, why jump cast?
I mentioned jump casting because if you DO get pinned you're not going to have much breathing room. If you casted Puppet normally on the ground the skill delay would leave you open for a nice love tap from Pap.

Backwards jumpcasting puppet (zomg) actually lets you get out of Pap's grips. But if you mess up you die, lol. Pretty much its casting puppet left, and jumping right at the same time, I can do it like 80% of the time with my keyboard. Then, you continue ducking once you land just incase, then you rebuff and attack.
That kind of technique is impossible for me. It's even more impossible if you have Snowshoes. Grips won't let you do that.

That's why grip absolutely sucks for Archers. There are other minute reasons that I don't feel like getting into, but that's a big one.

Who uses snowshoes? You can hardly jumpshot from a ducked position with them anyways =P
And yes, backwards jumpshotting from ducked is hard, puppet feels harder too for some reason.

instead of 10% shoe for spike... they should have 10% shoe for ice... where it allows your shoe to be as slippery as if you were in nath... that'd help a lot in a situation like that...
but actually it would totally suck if you were moving towards a bomb... can't run away >.>

Lol, I hate that slide, no matter how easy jsing with it is.
I think I 100%'d my SSs for speed when I was a coolie man... for 26 levels.

I want a 100% shoe for ice. One sold by a NPC for 35k.
I'd probably be one of the only ones to buy it, too.
