K this is pretty weird, and it's been happening since Yellonde came out. Note: ONLY in Yellonde. This doesn't happen to me in any other server, nor does it happen with any programs, browsers, etc. I have very few processes open and way more than enough resources to have a lot more running. Spyware & virus free. Since it's just Yellonde, I doubt it's solely my computer, so please, don't tell to get a new computer or whatever. It's only a year and a half old (and not vista).
That being said, the only things that lag are serversided. There's a delay before the action goes through, i.e. HP restoration on using a potion or changing maps after entering a portal. The sound is made, but the action doesn't start for ~10-45 seconds. It also never DCs (which it would if it were my internet acting up normally), and All chat & whispers lag like hell (buddy, guild, alliance, spouse, and party don't).
Tonight, for some reason, it's a lot worse. Now there's a long delay before AND after the actions; namely potting, portals, MP eater, freeze, things that update on the buff bar, etc. However, there is NO chat lag whatsoever, and there's a fairly long delay after using teleport, especially when MP eater activates during a telecast. Oddly enough, I can see other people moving and attacking normally with no delays whatsoever during the delays after these actions.
I logged into Bera, Kradia, and Mardia and I didn't get this on any of them. Any ideas / suggestions? s: Other people on my BL complain of similar lag though not as often, and there are lots of people who haven't experienced it at all. Also, it doesn't do this all the time. I was fine during the 2x event earlier today, for example. In both cases of the lag, I cannot perform any action whatsoever aside from movement until the last action is completed, and in the latter scenario, until the delay afterwards has ended.
Also note: If it were simply my internet, I would be getting some degree of FPS or client sided lag (typically I do), and it only lags like that when someone's streaming 24/7. When the internet is screwy I start DCing fairly often and freeze still works (as does being poisoned by enemies). My internet does suck, but I doubt it's the only problem. s: I've had miserably bad lag before, but nothing quite so difficult to get around as this. `-`
Edit: KMS, JMS, Flyff, 2moons, and GE are all lagfree as well. It really is just Yellonde.. o_o
