For all of you who don't know me, my name is Alex, aka Lexy.
I play a level 13x Dark Knight, AnaIysis [formerly NegiWarrior], in GMS Scania. Please don't stalk me. x__x
This is my third guide, my first two guides being...
Warrior DEX (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23099)
Making Mesos (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23411)
And, for your enjoyment, here's my picture autobiography:
If you seriously want to see such a nobsoss shot of me, just go here (http://tinyurl.com/2g9mqh).

Anyway, back on topic:
THE GUIDE.
This is my BEST guide EVER!
possibly not.
But oh well...
Anyway, this guide was made to help warriors, spearmen, and dragon knights in need.
Since I'm not at all done with being a Dark Knight, I will not have everything on Dark Knights, though I probably will have 99.99% on spearmen and swordsmen, and ~90% on Dragon Knights.
*DISCLAIMER*
I am NegiWarrior of Hidden-Street forums, and this guide is identical to the one I've posted there.
This guide is in multiple posts because of the ten-image-per-post limit over at HS forums.
Plus, it's cooler that way.
Butts.
I did not copy any part of this guide, unless I have quoted/given credit to somebody/some site for it. Oh, and if you're going to copy any part of this guide, please give me credit (either as 'Lexy [SouthPerry], NegiWarrior [Hidden-Street, Sleepywood], or AnaIysis [in-game]).

SCREW THIS, here's just a FAQ, okay?
Jeez.
FAQ:
Q: What stats do I need for warrior?
A: You need STR and DEX. When you're rolling the die, hope for a 4 LUK/ 4 INT combination. If you can't get this, go for a 4/5 or a 5/4 combination of LUK and INT. Why? Because these are useless to Warriors.
Q: OMG where do I train? T_T
A: Will be answered later.
Q: Which 2nd/3rd job should I pick?
A: Will be discussed later.
Okay, this ain't working out.
Let's just get on with the rest of the guide...

omfgdebates
Okay, so you PROBABLY have heard a lot about many of these debates, but I’ll clarify anyway.
Major debates going ‘round:
1) Warrior vs. other classes
2) Spearmen vs. Fighters/Pages
3) Pole Arms vs. Spears
4) Hybrid vs. Pure
There are more, specific arguments, such as the classic Dragon Blood vs. Warrior Elixer debate, but we'll get into that later.
Warriors vs. Other classes
[Pros]
Highest HP of any class.
Tanking. “Tanking” refers to being able to get hit without dying. This is achieved through our incredibly high HP.
Highest weapon defense of the jobs.
Soloing powehs. Able to solo bosses better than other classes [meaning, no parties for HB/more HP].
Biggest weapons. THE BIGGER, THE BETTER!
[Cons]
CRAP range. We can only attack at very close distances [with the exception of third job skills].
Slow attacks. Actually, they attack slower than any other class [exception: Ribgol].
Constantly being KSed. …due to our slow and close-ranged attacks.
Inconsistent damage. [Sins and Bowmen have it worse, but their critical kinda makes up for it…]
Lowest MP of all the jobs.
Lowest magic defense of the jobs.
In short, Warriors have high HP and weapon defense and low MP and magic defense.
Our range, damage stability, and attack speed suck, but we hit hard.
Our incredible HP and defense allows us to solo bosses and solo train at maps where others would die in the blink of an eye.
Spearmen vs. Other Warriors
[Pros]
Hyper Body is godly.
Longest range of all warriors [spears/pole arms are just long].
Most MP of all the classes.
Highest maximum damage.
Best party warrior, since Rage for fighters will only result in "omfg i wuz usin wariur elixer u feg."
[Cons]
Slowest attack speed of the three [on average].
Largest damage variation, due to PA/spear slash/stab.
Least base HP of the three.
HB puts Spearmen at the front for second job.
In third job, Dragon Knights are supreme.
They are, without a doubt, the best class for third job.
In 4th Job, well... we'll get to that part soon enough, but just remember...
All good things must come to an end, and that "end" for DKs comes at the end of third job.
Pole Arms vs. Spears
Pole Arms do more damage slashing:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/slash.jpg
and Spears do more damage stabbing:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/stab.jpg
The Slash to Stab ratio is 3:2, meaning that for every 5 attacks, on average 3 will be slashes and 2 will be stabs.
Although the ratio is true, Spears do more damage while stabbing than PAs do while slashing.
And, Spears do less damage while slashing than PAs do while stabbing.
...meaning that Spears have less consistent damage.
Since PAs have more consistent damage, and have the 3:2 ratio on their side, PAs do more overall damage.
However, PAs have slower attack speeds than Spears .
For example: the Maple Scorpio [PA] has a “normal” attack speed, while the Maple Impaler [Spear] has a “fast” attack speed.
So basically, to sum it up:
[I]Pole Arms
...do more damage slashing as opposed to stabbing, have more stable damage, are much cheaper, have slower attack speeds on average, and have the 3:2 slash/stab ratio on their side.
Spears
...do more damage stabbing as opposed to slashing, have more inconsistent damage, are more expensive, have faster attack speeds on average, and have the 3:2 slash/stab ratio pitted against them.
However, in third and fourth jobs, you can throw all of the above straight into the trash can, since stabs and slashes become forced with Fury and Crusher, respectively. I'll go more in-depth on spears and pole arms in the descriptions of Fury and Crusher later in the guide.
Hybrid vs. Pure
As you may all well know, “Hybrid” spearmen use both Pole Arms and Spears, and “Pure” spearmen use only one or the other.
Here’s a hybrid:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/tiger.gif
[Tiger] *RIP*
Here’s a pure [spear]:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/builds.gif
[B]*Vegetable*
Added by request:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/majal-1.gif
Pure Spear.
[Majal] *RIP*
Hybrid Spearmen are the most common spearmen in GMS, due to the forced stabbing/slashing of Dragon Crusher/Dragon Fury, respectively.
However, early hybrids came upon a roadblock.
Namely... “wtp, Y NO FINALE ATK!??!”
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/FA.gif Final Attack
...is VERY useful to spearmen in second job. With FA, spearmen train much faster than those who do not have FA.
To solve this problem, some intelligentbuttocks aka smartass devised a “1.5 hybrid” idea, where a player receives the FA of one weapon, while losing points into both weapons’ boosters.
Usually, 1.5 hybrids go PA first, just because PAs do more damage on average in second job.
They then switch to Spear at the beginning of Third Job to get Dragon Crusher.
How do I know this?
I’m a 1.5 hybrid! omg didnt see dat comin atcha huh? lolz noob
Okay, so here’s Hybrid vs. Pure:
Hybrid
[Pros]
Faster second job
Able to use both Dragon Fury and Dragon Crusher efficiently in third job
[Cons]
Nine Dragons looks like crap.
1.5s get less booster.
Sometimes, you may have to have both a PA and a Spear, and this cuts either your mesos or your weapons’ stats.
WAYYY too common.
Pure
[Pros]
Cheaper than Hybrid [or better weapons]
Less second job skill confusion
Maxed Booster and Maxed FA
Less common
[Cons]
Nine Dragons looks like crap.
Unable to use both Fury and Crusher efficiently in third job
Here’s a bonus picture!

Okay, here’s a comprehensive training table.
If you have any questions on where to train, go to the sticky (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11690).

Where 'Lexy trained
Just because you guys really want to know which crap maps I trained in.
Suggested training spots
This says where the BEST place[s] to train are. Bolded names = places with the highest experience rate at those levels.
*** Note that these ratings are made in comparison to the other training spots available at the level range.
Example:
Henesys Hunting Ground I Levels 10 to 20 [link; I'm too lazy to put one here]
Snail, Blue Snail, Red Snail, Shroom, Slime, Stump, etc. [unimportant monsters = strikethrough'd]
It's a really crowded place. Go to HHG2 or HHG3 by going up the rope at the top of the map for less people, but less spawn.
Got it? Good!
BUT.
Before we begin, here's a small handbook to training, aka general training notes...
Vines, ropes, ladders, and the like are very good things to have in a training map. Often times, these can be used to go AFK on. Keep your position in mind though. If you're in a place that's unsafe, Murphy's law might come haunt you, and the next thing you know, you're dead. Also, look at what kind of monsters are in the map. There are many climbables at Gobies, but Gobies can swim around and kill you very quickly. If the ladder thing is attached to a safe platform, always choose the platform over hanging on the ladder. It's better to be safe than sorry!
In Aqua Road and El Nath, watch your health. The environment takes away HP at a constant rate, and if you're low on HP, you might just die. Yes, the environment doesn't just lower your HP down to 1. It goes the extra step to 0.
In Leafre, there are many Gophers that occasionally pop up and stun you. Now this is all quaint, but if you're on a mount, it's bad news...
For those who use a mount: If you ever train in Leafre, remember that there are Gophers that can stun you if they hit you. While normally this is just an annoyance,THIS IS BAD NEWS IF YOU'RE ON A MOUNT. Mounts don't let you use potions, which will kill you if stunned.
To avoid death, right click on your Mount "Buff" on the top right corner of your screen, and pot.
After you get Berserk, do not get ****y. You will die at least once, no matter how cautious you are with Berserk, but fewer deaths should make you happier, neh?
Mounts are usually only useful in training in large maps and when you wish to jump onto a ladder. For example, Mounts are very helpful in the Blue Kentaurus Map, since it's enormous, and there are often times where you must walk long distances without attacking. Also, the vines there are long. If you mount, jump, unmount, and press up, you'll have gotten halfway up a vine in half the time it would take without using a mount.
THE TRAINING TABLE
Beginner
Training grounds
Maple Island Levels 1 to 10
A bunch of monsters.
You can't really choose anyplace else. You could go out of maple island before level 9, but I don't really advise it.
Other Methods
Quit now, before Maple Story sucks your soul out.
Where 'Lexy trained
No clue.
Suggested training spots
Well, there's only one place to stomp around in.
However, with all the new quests added in, you could probably get to level 9 or 10 through quests alone.
Swordsman [First Job]
Training grounds
Slime Tree Levels 10 to 20 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vielliniasouth.php#southernforesti)]
Slimes, duh.
It's crazy spawn. Crazy crazy crazy spawn. There's a small niche at the top/middle of the map where you can go afk and not get hit.
Henesys Hunting Ground Levels 10 to 20 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vihenesys.php#henesyshuntinggroundi)]
Blue Snail, Red Snail, Stump, Slime, Orange Mushroom, Green Mushroom
Well, it's usually WAY overcrowded, to the point where you won't be getting much training done.
Pig Beach Levels 15 to 25 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vilithharbor.php#thepigbeach)] [mapx2 (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/hspigbeach.php)]
Blue Snail, Red Snail, Pig, Ribbon Pig, Iron Hog
Watch out for the iron hogs, they might eat you up.
Green/Horny Mushroom Tree Levels 20 to 25 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vielliniasouth.php#southernforestiv)]
Slime, Green Mushroom, Horny Mushroom, Blue Mushroom
This is where I trained at these levels. VERY outdated, but still a semi-valid training spot.
The Swamp of Despair I Levels 20 to 30 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vikerningcity.php#theswampofdespairi)]
Jr. Necki, Ligator
Semi-okay EXP. Lots of people train here after going through KPQ!
Northern Top of Construction Site Levels 20 to 30 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vikerningcity.php#northerntopofconstructionsite)]
Caution Falling Down Levels 20 to 30 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vikerningcity.php#cautionfallingdown)]
Octopus, Blue Mushroom
The Blue Mushrooms might be a little hard in the lower 20s, but this map's incredible spawn makes it best for the upper 20s.
Land of Wild Boar One Levels 25 to 30 [One (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viperioneast.php#landofwildboari)]
Land of Wild Boar Two Levels 25 to 30 [Two (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viperioneast.php#thelandofwildboarii)]
Wild Boar, Jr. Boogie, Dark Axe Stump
Land of Wild Boar I is pretty packed, but not as much as Henesys Hunting Ground was. Land of Wild Boar II is not-so-populated.
Ant Tunnel Levels 25 to 30 [full map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/visleepywoodanttunnel.php)]
Horny Mushroom, Zombie Mushroom [primarily these two]
Ant Tunnel I is the Henesys Hunting Ground of level 2x and 3x people. It's basically a differently shaped Land of Wild Boar, but with more spawn and better experience gain. Ant tunnels II - IV are worse.
Excavation Site III Levels 27 to 30 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viperionexcavation.php#excavationsiteiii)]
Wooden Mask, Rocky Mask
This place's exp is awesome if you have good equips, but it might be a bit hard for less wealthy people before level 30.[/font]
Other methods
Orbis Exchange Quest Levels 10 to 21 [table (http://global.hidden-street.net/quests/exchangequest_orbis.php)]
Well, this is only for richies. Yup. And you need to be at least level 10 to get onto the ship to Orbis, so don't get out of maple island ASAP. NOTE: After level 21, exchange questing begins to suck for mesos and experience.
Henesys PQ Levels 10 to 25 [HS guide (http://global.hidden-street.net/quests/pqhenesys_stall.php)] [player guide (http://global.hidden-street.net/guides/files/general_017.txt)]
Henesys PQ is almost as good as Exchange Quest... but not quite. After level 20, HPQ becomes very, very long ang boring. Level 25 is the absolute max for this PQ, unless you really like it for some reason.
Kerning Party Quest Levels 21 to 30 [HS guide (http://global.hidden-street.net/quests/pqkerning_stall.php)]
Party Quest leading info. (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=25301)
Kerning PQ is win. King Slime is the first boss you'll ever face. You learn to tell the difference in classes as you pick members for your party. You learn to party with other people. KPQ is the beginning of a Maple experience, really. It is in green because although it may be incredible experience gain for levels 21 to 24, levels 24 to 30 are pretty slow through KPQ.
Where 'Lexy trained
Levels 10 to 15: I forgot.
Levels 15 to 22: Pig Beach
Levels 22 to 28: Green/Horny Mushroom Tree
Levels 28 to 30: West Rocky Mountain IV (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viperionwest.php#westrockymountainiv) [not mentioned in this guide]
Suggested training spots
Levels 10 to 15: Slime Tree, Henesys PQ, Exchange Quest
Levels 15 to 21: Pig Beach, Henesys PQ, Exchange Quest
Levels 21 to 25: Pig Beach, Northern Top of Construction Site/Caution Falling Down, Kerning PQ
Levels 25 to 30: Land of Wild Boar I, Ant Tunnel I, Excavation Site III
Spearman [Second Job]
Training grounds
Land of Wild Boar One Levels 30 to 33 [One (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viperioneast.php#landofwildboari)]
Wild Boar, Jr. Boogie, Dark Axe Stump
Don't expect too much change in training grounds right after you make the second job advancement. You still are a swordsman, except with a better weapon. Land of Wild Boar II is out of the question, though. The spawn is too low there.
Ant Tunnel Levels 30 to 33 [full map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/visleepywoodanttunnel.php)]
Horny Mushroom, Zombie Mushroom
Okay, so this is still a step up from Land of Wild Boar,
Terrace Hall Levels 30 to 40 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/ldludibrium.php#terracehall)]
Brown Teddy, Pink Teddy
This is the BEST place to train in your early second job. The experience and spawn are incredible. Expect anywhere from 50% to 100% per hour.
Eos Tower 100th Floor Levels 30 to 40 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/ldeostower.php#eostower100thfloor)]
Ratz
Pretty nice experience, but there are better training spots, such as Teddies [see above].
Forked Road: East Sea Levels 32 to 40 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/aqaquaroad.php#forkedroadeastsea)]
Mask Fish
Mask Fish are easy to kill, but have less spawn than Ratz. But you may want to try these for the underwater training experience!
Evil Eye Cave Levels 32 to 40 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/visleepywoodanttunnel.php#caveofevileyei)]
Evil Eye, Jr. Boogie
Any one of the four Evil Eye maps is fine, though most people train in the third map because it is the smallest of the four. Great spawn here, but climbing back up is kind of a pain.
Eos Tower 41st Floor Levels 33 to 40 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/ldeostower.php#eostower41stfloor)]
Bloctopus
The spawn is good, and the experience is okay. Try it!
Orbis Gardens of Colors Levels 35 to 40 [full map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osorbis.php)]
Jr. Lioner, Jr. Grupin, Jr. Cellion
The only maps worth training in here as of now are: The Road to Garden of Three Colors and Garden of Red/Yellow/Green I.
Helios Tower 99th Floor Levels 35 to 42 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/ldkoreanfolktown.php#heliostower99thfloor)]
Retz
You may have heard that this is a great place for Ice/Lightning mages... and it is. However, it's decent for Warriors too!
Purple Plains I Levels 35 to 45 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viamoria.php#purpleplains1)]
Shroom, Stump, Red Snail, Orange Mushroom, Sakura Cellion
The real training spot is at the top of the map, where there are some black/pink cats. Kill them. This place is the absolute best place to train during your late 30s and early 40s, hands down. Not only does this place give awesome EXP, though, it also gives an incredible amount of mesos. WARNING: There are countless KSers here. COUNTLESS. Most are sins or idiots coming back from APQ.
Secret Factory Levels 35 to 45 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/ldludibrium.php#secretfactory)]
Toy Trojan
Basically, you go into this map, hit boxes, and kill the mobs that pop out. Then CC and repeat. Sometimes you'll land upon a dud map, where all the boxes give out nothing. When you arrive at one of these, just CC and start training again. Very good experience.
Tree Dungeon, Monkey Forest I Levels 38 to 45 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vielliniasouth.php#treedungeonmonkeyforesti)]
Curse Eye, Zombie Lupin
The cursed dolls can sell for a lot, and the spawn is pretty good, but the ranged attack of these things and their high weapon attack may leave you wondering why you came here.
Vanity Room [2] Levels 38 to 48 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/msphantomforest.php#vanityroom2)]
Nightmare
GREAT training spot. 120 EXP for 1930 HP, wtf? Yeah, and Lantern Ghosts give only 93 EXP for 1920 HP, lul. Anyway, I believe this is the right map. There is a possibility that I am wrong; blame the mansion maze.
A Night in the Forest Levels 40 to 50 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vizipangu.php#anightintheforest)]
Paper Lantern Ghost, Dark Cloud Fox
Good experience. The flat and stretched-out map prepares you for Himes' style training... way in advance.
Video on mobbing here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcbDlE9v018).
Eos Tower 8th Floor Levels 40 to 55 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/ldeostower.php#eostower8thfloor)]
Hidden Tower Levels 40 to 55 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/ldeostower.php#hiddentower)]
Block Golem, Dark Block Golem, Rombot
This just reeks of pot burn. However, it's really good exp. If you're strong enough, you can even come here as early as level 35! Note that 'Hidden Tower' gives less experience.A video on this place (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5qDsgXmmn0).
Dangerous Valley I Levels 42 to 50 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viperionsouth.php#dangerousvalleyi)]
Fire Boar, Copper Drake
It's pretty bad experience, but the map layout is really friendly.
The Entrance of Gollem's Temple Levels 45 to 52 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vihenesys.php#theentranceofgollemstemple)]
Blue Mushroom, Lupin, Fierry, Stone Gollem
Crappy place to train, though it's better than nothing.
Practice Field : Beginner Levels 45 to 55 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osmulung.php#practicefieldbeginner)]
Practice Field : Beginner Levels 55 to 65
Practice Field : Beginner Levels 65 to 70
Straw Target Dummy
STD = Straw Target Dummy. Pretty crowded, but the spawn here may well be the best of any map in the entire game. The monsters are slow and give craploads of experience, and the map's flat and easy for mobbing. You can actually train here until third job, and beyond. I received over 15% per hour at level 71 here, and I find that pretty amazing.
Watch out for Icy Path I Levels 50 to 60 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/oselnath.php#watchoutforicypathi)]
Jr. Yeti, Jr. Yeti [transformed], Hector
Map has two platforms; both spawn Junior Yetis. Start at the bottom, and mob left and right until the spawn dies. Climb to the top and kill everything, and then jump back down to see a bigger spawn than before. Repeat. As of Patch .50, Hectors spawn here as well o.o.
Sanctuary Entrance II Levels 50 to 60 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/visleepywoodanttunnel.php#sanctuaryentranceii)]
Cold Eye, Tauromacis
Extreme pot burnage for pretty good experience [25%/hr?]. The spawn here is awesome.
Drake's Meal Table Levels 55 to 62 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/visleepywoodanttunnel.php#drakesmealtable)]
Bob the Snail, Cold Eye, Drake, Wild Cargo
Meal Table's spawn is great, and a certain miniboss spawns there too!
The bottom is full of Cold Eyes and Cargoes. Slash blast them to hell, and then climb up, moving from platform to platform. Kill anything in your path, and try to scroll something lucky after killing Bob the Snail ^o^b. Once you reach the top, enter Cash Shop and exit to get back to the bottom. Repeat the process, and remember to kill the mob of Drakes that'll eventually spawn off to the right side, in that little.. pocket before Ice/Dark Drakes. A huge pot burn because of the Cargoes.
________________________
Here starts the second part of the second job training section.
The color-coded ratings here should NOT be compared with those in the first section [except Practice Field: Beginner Levels 55 to 65 and Levels 65 to 70].
For example, Forest of Dead Trees I does not provide the same exp rate that Drake's Meal Table does.
Forest of Dead Trees I Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/oselnathdungeon.php#forestofdeadtreesi)]
Forest of Dead Trees II Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/oselnathdungeon.php#forestofdeadtreesii)]
Forest of Dead Trees III Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/oselnathdungeon.php#forestofdeadtreesiii)]
Forest of Dead Trees IV Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/oselnathdungeon.php#forestofdeadtreesiv)]
Coolie Zombie
Coolie Zombies, more commonly known as "coolies," "zombies," or [much, much older term] "zeds," was originally the best training spot in all of maple. After countless map changes and other map additions, these maps have gone down.
Cold Field I Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/oselnath.php#coldfieldi)]
Hector, White Pang
This is an alternative to Zombies. They give about the same exp each, but zombies are obviously better with their superior spawn.
At the left side of the map, poke every hector on your way to the right (WITHOUT KILLING THEM) then slash blast them when you find all the hectors charging to you. Next go to the top platform, kill kill, jump ONLY to the left platform and mob there. Jump back down and repeat step 1. After killing hectors go to the right platform which is just a few inches near you and mob there. Then keep repeating step one until the mob is 4-8 monsters and repeat the whole process from step 2 to the end.
The Forest of Gollem Levels 52 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/visleepywooddungeon.php#theforestofgollem)]
Curse Eye, Dark Stone Golem, Mixed Golem
This map [abbreviated 'FoG'] has one of the best spawn rates in Maple. However, there's usually quite a few people here. The good news is, warriors can take up any of the three possible spots in a channel [top, middle, and bottom], while other classes, like sins, can't take specific platforms, like the top.
Mountain Cliffs Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/msnewleafcity.php#mountaincliffs)]
Highlands Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/msnewleafcity.php#highlands)]
Gryphon
You may think that Gryphons, because they fly, are bad for exp. Absolutely not. In other maps, flying monsters WILL be worse for exp for warriors, but not here, since the spawn is just so high in both maps. I suggest that only warriors with high speed/jump equips go for the less populated map, Highlands, in order to get good exp, because warriors without these will most likely end up with less exp due to too many falls. These maps give equal [probably better] exp to FoG.
Vanity Room [3] Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/msphantomforest.php#vanityroom3)]
Sophilia's Bedroom [3] Levels 55 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/msphantomforest.php#sophiliasbedroom3)]
Hoodoo // Voodoo
These maps are the best places to train for a good chunk of your maple life. However, these maps are also the most crowded maps in all of Maple Story, except perhaps Zakum's Altar before Zakum could be summoned on more than one channel. If you can't find an empty map here, go to the nearby Gryphon maps, or go to FoG. It's handy that the main three training spots of this level range are all close to each other, huh?
Red-Nose Pirate Den 2 Levels 65 to 70 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osherbtown.php#rednosepirateden2)]
Kru, Captain
This place is pretty good for exp for other classes like bowmen, but it's mediocre for warriors. Worth a shot... or not.

Monster Carnival Levels 30 to 50 [guide (http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1411694)]
REALLY good exp, especially in your 30s. In your level 40s, you should be winning more and more, since CPQ is incredible for Warriors [Rooms 3/4].

Amoria PQ Levels 40+ [HS guide (http://global.hidden-street.net/quests/pqamoria_stall.php)]
This Party Quest requires you to be MARRIED. Also, this PQ is usually for getting Onyx Apples to sell for mesos. In the early 40s, this PQ is pretty good EXP, but only if you can find a party willing to take a low leveled character. ...too bad you can only go once every six hours.
Orbis PQ Levels 51 to 70 [player guide (http://global.hidden-street.net/guides/files/general_015.txt)] [player guide (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15072)]
Bad for experience, good for fun. I'm not sure if RPQ [rush orbis party quest] is still available, but it should be decent or even good experience gain. Otherwise, OPQ is not good for exp and not good for mesos.
Ludibrium Maze PQ Levels 51 to 70 [player guide (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23254)]
Maze PQ's experience fluctuates a LOT. You can get anywhere from 2500 exp to five times that per PQ. However, this is pretty good experience. Really good in the 50s, but kinda... crappy in the 60s.
Pirate PQ Levels 55 to 70 [guide (http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1358376)]
A very straightforward PQ. Pretty low experience, pretty repetitive. If you finish like a million PQs, you get a mediocre hat. If you finish five million or so, you get to upgrade it. I'd rather just splurge on a zakum helm, or spend that time making mesos for a zakum helm. :/

Note: This section will require a lot of format changes.
Changes:
Since Pole Arm and Spear DKs have such different skills, I cannot color-code the maps, but I will color-code "Spear" and "Pole Arm."
Potions become an enormous issue after level 70, so I will include the approximate level of pot-burn that each map reeks. This will be out of five stars: five (*****) meaning incredible pot-burn, and one
(*) meaning low pot-burn.
Many good training spots are made better with Priests, and I will tell you which maps are party-able and which aren't. Solo maps will have nothing added, while party-able maps will have a special party icon [aka this (http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj265/Iexy/party.jpg)] in front of their names. Of course, party-able means 'a map in which you have an equal or better experience rate when in a party.' Otherwise, every single map would be party-able.Example:
Practice Field : Beginner Levels 70 to 75 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osmulung.php#practicefieldbeginner)]

Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: **
Samiho, Water Goblin
This place has incredible spawn, but the exp/hp ratio is terrible.
IN NO CIRCUMSTANCES, ARE YOU TO GO TO THE NEXT MAP! When you die, hear that little voice in the back of your head? That's me saying: I told you so.
Samiho are a pain in the butt here, bring lots of All-Cures incase they curse you. Remember to kill them immediately!
Mob the Water Goblins back and forth. They do drop quite a bit of mesos, along with some nice drops such as Overall LUK scrolls.
Much easier to find a map here than vHoodoos.

Note that Hoodoos spawn in specific places and Voodoos spawn in more sporadic spots. Also, Pole Armers will have the upper hand here for the first five or so levels. After level 75, Spear Crusher becomes better than Pole Arm Fury. You can party with people here, but you won't get more experience.

Pot-burn: ***
Master Death Teddy
Only after level 77 or so, when you have enough HP and SP into Crusher/Fury to come here. Pretty good experience, but there's nothing really for Pole Arm DKs to use Fury on, since mobs are usually three to four MDTs at best [not counting the bottom floor].

Wolf Spider Cavern Levels 77 to 95 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/msnewleafcity.php#wolfspidercavern)]
Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: ****
Wolf Spider
If you didn't know already, Wolf Spiders have an amazing experience rate and an even more amazing drop rate. What more could you want from a training ground? Wolf Spiders are the high level Sakuras, but better. Can anybody say "ilbis?" There are drawbacks, however. You need money to start with. Even though Wolf Spiders do not have a magic or ranged attack, the huge spawn overwhelms you and your potion budget.
If you party two people, split the map up into top, middle, and bottom [pit].
If you party one person, split the map up into top/middle and bottom/middle [each person gets one half of the middle].
If you party a priest, have them heal you. They cannot attack, since Wolf Spiders don't take much damage from magic claw, and even less from Shining Ray.
If you solo this map, you must have at least one point into your active weapon's Fury. Use Fury on the monsters, then use Crusher on the mobs that you make [or just keep Fury-ing the final mob]. Also, go about the platforms in this order: Bottom Pit, Left and Right Middle, Bottom Pit, Left and Right Top.... repeat.
Never go around killing the monsters on the left and right parts of the bottom floor, unless you hit them with Fury only to lure them. This is because they usually drop into the center pit anyway. If you hit them with Fury as you pass by, they will undoubtedly fall into the pit.
The Area of Blue Kentaurus Levels 85 to 100 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osleafre.php#theareaofbluekentaurus)]
Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: ***
Blue Kentaurus
Slightly worse than their red counterparts, but this map is clearly meant for Dragon Knights. Three huge platforms, bursting with Kents to kill. Very nice layout. Also, Blue Kents drop FairFrozens... ...what a surprise.
The Area of Red Kentaurus Levels 85 to 105 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osleafre.php#theareaofredkentaurus)]
Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: ***
Red Kentaurus
Expect up to 40%/hr here. Kill the bottom floor's spawn a few times, and then go up to wipe out the top. The bottom has a lot more spawn points than does the top, so clearing the top, then the bottom, and repeating is inefficient. Red Kents have great drops as well.

Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: ****
Goby, Bombing Fish House, Bone Fish
Accuracy is the main problem in this map. Bone Fish take a bit of accuracy to hit, and if you can't hit Bone Fish, it is very hard to train here. However, if you can hit boner fish, come here and experience the awesomeness that is Gobies. Expect higher experience than at Kents, and a unique underwater training experience. Encounter with the Buddha Levels 95 to 120 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vizipangu.php#encounterwiththebuddha)]
Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: *****
Dreamy Ghost, Black Crow
More commonly known as 'Himes' in GMS or 'Mongs' in MSea, Dreamy Ghosts provide incredible experience gain.
You can mob by yourself with Fury, or let a priest mob for you with Heal.
Either way, there is no beating this map at experience for many, many levels.
However, note that if you are soloing, speed equips help a lot in this enormous map.
Note that a boss named 'Black Crow' [usually called 'Crow' or 'Tengu'] occasionally spawns in this map. It deals very, very high damage, up to the mid eight thousands. If you see one, run. You probably can't kill it by yourself or with a priest.

Peak of the Big Nest Levels 100 to 120 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osleafre_dragonnest.php#peakofthebignest)]
Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: *****
Skelosaurus, Nest Golem
This map is a healthy alterative to Himes, but 3.5k magic damage is very high, and the experience rate here before 4th Job and Rush isn't that hot.
Other methods
Pirate PQ Levels 70 to 100 [guide (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/vizipangu.php#vanishedvillage)]
Sadly, this is the only available PQ out at this moment for third jobbers. And it seriously sucks. It has a ton of quests attached to it, so quest-fanatics can spend a couple levels on them... but other than that, I do not recommend this PQ. Not even for the oh-so-AWESOME [./sarcasm] hat.
Destroyed Dragon Nest Levels 100 to 120 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osleafre_dragonnest.php#destroyeddragonnest)]
Jr. Newtie, Transforming Jr. Newtie, Nest Golem
If you have a bishop or arch mage friend, you can leech here. Mages need Dragon Knights for Hyper Body most of the time in deep Leafre, and, as degrading as it may seem, we must act as Hyper Body mules to get the best experience. [100%/hr at level 100, anybody?]
P.S.: I never acted as a HB slave here. The %/hr comes from friends' accounts.
The Dragon Nest Left Behind Levels 100 to 120 [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osleafre_dragonnest.php#thedragonnestleftbehind)]
Skelosaurus, Skelegon
Basically the same idea as Newties... leeching. Except Skeles deal more damage, net more experience, and are usually only trained on by Bishops and... *sigh* HB mules.

Note that leeching after level 90 at Newties and/or Skeles [probably after level 100 or so for Skeles] is better experience, by far, than soloing. However, unless you have bishop/arch mage friends willing to leech you, you'll be paying quite a sum for this experience.

Well, you should be getting around 5%/hr here in the 120s... which isn't very appealing, if at all. If you can't find a map [especially at peak times] at Himes or Peak, come here... but only use this place as a last resort.

By now, you should be sick and tired of this place.
I know I was. So... move to a different map [aka Peak, next map down] pl0x?
Note that...
...for Spear users, Himes < Peak by a wide margin.
...for Pole Arm users, Himes > Peak slightly. The higher experience makes up for the small mobs, but not fully.
Peak of the Big Nest Levels 120+ [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osleafre_dragonnest.php#peakofthebignest)]
Spear ~ Pole Arm
Pot-burn: *****
Skelosaurus, Nest Golem
Once you get Rush, move on over from Himes to here. This place exceeds Himes by up to 4%/hr. Considering you only get like 10%/hr, that's a pretty big difference!
Also, one outstanding characteristic about this map is that its much less crowded compared to Himes. You will almost always find a map here.
There is more than one way to tackle this map, but the best way isn't the most obvious.
If you're partying with another attacker, just split the map into top and bottom. Easy as pie.
If you're partying with an attacking bishop, just be an HB mule. You could also attack, but there's not that much point.
As for soloing, you can mob in the traditional fashion, or you can kill monsters in pairs and triplets. The second nets more experience.
The Dragon Nest Left Behind Levels 120+ [map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/osleafre_dragonnest.php#thedragonnestleftbehind)]
Spear ~ Pole Arm Levels 120 to ~150
Spear ~ Pole Arm Levels ~150+
Pot-burn: *****
Skelosaurus, Skelegon
Well, this place is okay up until around level 140 or 150, when your berserk damage finally allows you to 2hko Skeles with Spear Crusher. At that time, come here for massive experience.
Pole Arm DKs will never be able to get as much experience from this map as Spear DKs do, simply because after two or three bouts of Fury, the Skele isn't dead, and will cast buffs and use magic attacks, which slow down your training considerably. Also, this map is very, very large, so gathering up a big mob is difficult to do.
Other methods
Leeching, how fun!
You can still leech at Newties and/or Skeles. This is definitely the best experience you can get... for a while.

Before you get warriorized, you must go through the appleland... [aka maple island]
Here’s my very, very outdated map of the island.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/mapleisland.jpg
So all you need to know on maple island is how to get to points B and C.
Disregard the A, that's just a map filled with Orange Mushrooms.
[Maple Island Checklist]
Get the chair from “Pio” at point B.
Train on monsters anywhere, and do a bunch of quests until you're close to hitting level 10.
Add full STR, or go with a bit of DEX [2x level at most], and then add the rest into STR. Remember, you need 35 STR or more to become a warrior!
Go to Victoria Island at Point C when you’re level 9 with 75% or so.
Once you get to Victoria Island, don’t talk to Roger [whoever that taxi guy is] yet.
Go to Olaf [still in Lith Harbor, just to the right] and complete his quiz. Then, accept his “path of warrior” quest.
Next, go to Perion via the taxi dude right below the maple island/Victoria island ship, and go to the very top right corner of the map to find a portal.
Go in.
Talk to Dances with Balrog: http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/Dances.jpg
to complete Olaf’s quest, getting 300 exp.
If you’re funded, now’s the time to go to Amoria and use 25 squishy liquids for 500 exp and a random hair change. Don't do this if you don't want to start over. This quest has been known to give mushroom hair.
Talk with Dances with Balrog at level 10, with 35 STR or more.
Yay, swordsman!
Congratulations.
Now you have twenty levels until 2nd Job, when things really start to heat up.
But before that... you need to know how to distribute your AP [Ability Points] and SP [Skill Points].
For AP distribution, do not add any points into anything except STR and DEX.
For Dex information, read my guide on Warrior Dex [here (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23099)], and determine a good personal build for yourself.
Keep in mind that most people nowadays raise their Dex to around 50 or 60 by constantly adding Dex until around level 60 or 70.
For SP distribution... you have to follow a build:
Builds
A build is a set model for how to add Skill Points into Skills.
There isn't too much room for variation in Swordsman builds, but there will be many, many different ways to add SP for second, third, and fourth job, so you get off easy for now. :P
Format of these builds:
Title of build
Level: Amount of SP ~ Skill name, Amount of SP ~ Skill name
Level: Amount of SP ~ Skill name, Amount of SP ~ Skill name
.

.
________Results________
Improved HP Recovery: 1
Improved MaxHP Increase: 2
Endure: 3
Iron Body: 4
Power Strike: 5
Slash Blast: 6

[skills : skill points total]
[Commentary]

11: 3 ~ Improved HP Recovery
12: 1 ~ Improved HP Recovery, 2 ~ Improved MaxHP Increase
...etc.

Oh, and before I get ahead of myself with Builds, I need to introduce the Skills, huh?
Okay, so a skill is an ability that does something beneficial to you/your party or something not-so-beneficial to a monster/monsters.
Skills are divided into three groups: Passive, Supportive, and Active.
Passive skills are skills that activate automatically.
There are two types of passive skills.
The first group of skills share one thing in common: they are always on [Improved HP Recovery, Mastery, etc.].
The second group turn on only when certain criteria are met, like reaching an HP mark , the buildup of an existing skill [Advanced Combo], or even being on a ladder [Endure].
Supportive skills have to be manually activated.
Most supportive skills are called 'buffs' in slang, and do just that: buff you up.
Some supportive skills do other things, like cancel the power ups of monsters [Power Crash], cancel harmful status effects like poison [Dispel], or allow you to teleport [Teleport, duh?].
Most of a Spearman's supportive skills will be buffs, with the exception of Power Crash [Dragon Knight skill].
Also, many buffs help all members of a party, such as Hyper Body and Iron Will.
Active skills are the bread and butter of your life on Maple.
They are often attack skills, which hit more damage than a regular whack to a monster. Some examples are Power Strike, Dragon Roar, and Rush.
However, many active skills fall in the miscellaneous category. A lot of these can be considered supportive skills and active skills. Some examples are Fire Charge, Beholder, and Combo Attack.
Well... I lied. There's another category of skills.
Healing skills are skills that heal HP.
Well, skill*. There's only one.
[I]Heal is the only skill in this category.
It's a Cleric skill that you will get familiar with as you party more and more with Clerics, Priests, and Bishops.
For now, there's only three skill groups, 'kay?
And this all brings us to your first job skills...!
They are linked to their corresponding descriptions on the Hidden-Street database.

As for explanations of the skills, here you go.
============ Analysis =============
Improved HP Recovery [B]PassiveThis skill helps you recover more HP in ten seconds of not moving.
Obviously, you won't be not moving for long, and with free chairs in Maple Island that heal 50 HP/10 seconds, there is no point in putting points into this skill...
Except that 5 points into this skill are needed for a very, very important skill: Improved MaxHP Increase.
Improved MaxHP Increase PassiveThis skill definitely does not look like much. Its grammarless description doesn't help either.
In short, this skill helps you get more HP.
It ups the HP you get from leveling up, and it ups the amount of HP per AP you put into HP [which, by the way, you should not do until late 3rd or anywhere in 4th Job].
Although I've described Warriors as having the most HP out of all the classes, that is only partially true. If a warrior doesn't have this skill maxed early on... well, I'd feel sorry for their thief-status HP.
This skill should be maxed as soon as possible.
Do not delay and go put some SP into Power Strike or something unless you really want to get killed in two hits by everything later on.
Endure PassiveWhen I started out on my DK [er, spearman. 'Dragon Knights' didn't exist], I read a guide on Spearmen.
It said that Endure was of utmost importance, and should be maxed.
What idiotic days those were.
Endure is such a bad skill, I can't describe in words how much it sucks.
But then again, several Swordsman skills have equal amounts of failure and suckage.
Endure gives you the ability to heal HP while on a rope.
More points into this skill allow faster healing when on a rope.
Obviously, the amount of HP healed depends on one's level of "Improved HP Recovery."
There are two main flaws in this skill...
1. Chairs
Chairs heal more HP than a high level of HP recovery does, and they look much nicer. This makes HP Recovery near-useless.
2. Improved HP Recovery
This skill itself is a flaw. The amount of SP given to you during 1st Job is 61.
If you choose to max Power Strike, Slash Blast, and Improved MaxHP Increase like most people do [those are the core skills of first job], you will have six SP left to distribute in anything.
Six skill points.
That's enough to nearly max Endure.
But if you go with Endure, your HP recovery on ropes will be low, since your Improved HP Recovery will be level 5.
If you decide to find a happy medium of sorts, and put four SP into both skills, your HP recovery will be better on vines, but still really, really bad.
tl;dr: Endure sucks ass, but you can put one point into it [or three, for Iron Body] if you like to go AFK a lot on vines or something.
Iron Body SupportiveThis skill sucks too.
It adds weapon defense, up to 40.
Weapon defense is pretty unnecessary, honestly.
I suggest one point into this for the effect, which is pretty nice.
Power Strike ActivePower Strike will be your main weapon for all of second job, so do not skip this skill. It does 2.6 times the damage of a regular attack.
Slash Blast ActiveLike Power Strike, Slash Blast is a must, since you'll be using it for all of second job.
It does 1.3 times the damage of a regular attack... on up to six monsters.
It's also the only attack that targets more than one enemy for all of the first jobs.

Iron Body: 0
Power Strike: 20 max
Slash Blast: 20 max
Extra: 6
In this build, you get either Power Strike or Slash Blast first, depending which you prefer.
The 6 leftover points can be used for any of the following skills:
* Improved HP Recovery
* Endure
* Iron Body
I recommend putting 3 points into Endure in order to get a few points into Iron Body for its lulzworthy effect.
I personally put the last six points into Improved HP Recovery, because... well, the chair wasn't out yet.

In these power builds, active skills [Slash Blast and Power Strike] are maxed first, allowing you to deal more damage earlier. However, these builds, especially build B, result in a large HP difference as compared to users of the traditional build. I really don't recommend this type of build.

Defense builds focus on one skill: Iron Body. This skill isn't exactly necessary, but it might be helpful in early levels. However, by following a defense build, a warrior is sacrificing a LOT, namely Power Strike and Slash Blast.
Defense builds are incredibly varied, since the main goal is to get some points into Iron Body. But that's the only good thing I can say about them.

This build is the general form of the Defense Build section’s Build A.
In this build, a person goes with either Power Strike or Slash Blast.
Now you may think that this build is omfgsuckage, but I beg to differ.
You can CPQ to level 50 and LMPQ/PPQ/OPQ to level 70, when you can start using your next set of attack skills, all on a single skill.
The only problem I have with this build is that there’s no point for it. The twenty-six leftover points can be used in Endure, Iron Body, and Improved HP Increase. The thing is, those three skills are useless, and you might as well get both attack skills anyway.
I don’t recommend this build, but it’s not that bad.
So, in case you're wondering where to train, go to the training table in post # 3 [the post right above this one, duh]!
Anyway, so once you've reached level 30, go get your job advancement...

Okay, so you’re finally level 30.
You’re still a noob, believe me.
People [like me] will still call you “noob omgomg” [except I wouldn't say something stupid like "omgomg," since I am a very educate- OMGOMGOMG U R NOOB!!11222@2 person.]
What's in this section?
Well, I put information about...
* The Job Advancement
* Skills
* Builds
The Second Job Advancement
So, how exactly DO you get your second job advancement?
Well, here it is in a nutshell:
1. Get to level 30.
2. Go to Perion and talk to Dances with Balrog.
3. Go to West Rocky Mountain IV and talk to the Job Instructor.
4. Kill monsters in the job advancement map to get 30 dark marbles.
5. Talk to the Job Instructor.
6. Go back to Dances with Balrog.
7. Choose your job.
8. GRATZ!
And here it is in a coconutshell:
1. Get to level 30.
Self-explanatory.
2. Go to Perion and talk to Dances with Balrog.
He’ll say, “OMG u grew sinc da last tiem I saw u”
[and you can think, “dang, you’ve been sitting like that all this time?”]
Then, he’ll give you a quest item, and will ask you to bring that to the Job Instructor at West Rocky Mountain IV.
3. Go to West Rocky Mountain IV and talk to the Job Instructor.
Here’s a map (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/viperionwest.php#westrockymountainiv).
He's an ugly bish, you can't really not find him. :3
4. Kill monsters in the job advancement map to get 30 dark marbles.
The monsters in the job advancement map are:
Fire Boar
Lupin
These do more damage than their outside counterparts, and have less avoidability, so you can hit them even if your DEX is less than normal [Dexless, I’m not so sure…]
The monsters drop dark marbles at about a 1 marble per 2~4 monster rate.
So this means you’ll have to kill 60~240 monsters.
This means, bring potions [around 70 orange potions and 30 blue potions will do].
5. Talk to the Job Instuctor
He'll send you outside once you get 30 marbles, and he'll give you a "proof of a hero" or something like that.
6. Go back to Dances with Balrog.
Do it.
7. Choose your Job.
Spearman, or gtfo this guide.
8. GRATZ!

Analysis
Mastery
Passive
* Increases ACC by a given number of points.
* Increases minimum damage to a set percentage.
The percentage for mastery is not...
[Minimum damage]/[Maximum damage] x 100.
Aka, your minimum damage does not become your maximum damage multiplied by the given percentage.
It's actually lower than that... but by how much, I cannot say. I don't know, lolol :<
Booster
Supportive
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/booster.jpg
* Makes your attack speed faster
* The more points put in, the longer it lasts, and the less MP it uses.
Note: Rumor has it that more points in booster makes your weapon go faster.
FALSE. It simply doesn't.
Note: Booster is also used to portray "Secks" in Maple Story, as shown in the picture.
Here's the results of a test I performed:
I tested how many attacks a weapon could hit in 30 seconds, with and without booster, trying to see how much speed booster really adds.
Spears
Pumpkin Spear [fast 5]
41 attacks in 30 seconds
Pumpkin Spear [fast 5] + Booster
47 attacks in 30 seconds
Fairfrozen [slow 7]
35 attacks in 30 seconds
Fairfrozen [slow 7] + Booster
41 attacks in 30 seconds
Pole Arms
Maple Scorpio [normal 6]
38 attacks in 30 seconds
Maple Scorpio [normal 6] + Booster
43 attacks in 30 seconds
Zedbug [slow 8]
34 attacks in 30 seconds
Zedbug [slow 8] + Booster
38 attacks in 30 seconds
As you can see, Booster seems to add around two speed levels to a weapon.
This post by 'Devil's Sunrise' of SouthPerry forums [Mondays] also points in the same direction.
Though this is obviously more in-depth, blah.
Final Attack
Passive
* A faster follow-up attack after Power Strike or Slash Blast.
* FA does NOT work with 3rd job skills like Buster and/or Fury.
* FA's chance of success and its damage depends on how many points you put into it.
FA may hit one monster or more than one monster.
If you used Power Strike and FA was initiated, it hits only one monster with the given damage percentage.
If you used Slash Blast and FA was initiated, it hits up to six monsters with a damage that I am not familiar with....
BUT, LUCKILY...
emailbox, the talking encyclopedia, delved deeper into this quandary.
This is sourced from the information he gave:
You hit a certain percentage of damage on the first monster with Slash Blast Final Attack, and half of that percentage of damage will hit the second monster back. For example, if you hit 100% on the first monster, you would hit 50% on the second monster, and 25% on the third, and so on, and so forth.
*Edit: Trawled through miles and miles of data and I don't think exact percentages are known, but it'll spread that 250% damage over the mobs unevenly. *See above*
The first mob takes a lot of damage though. Way more than the second...
Note that your wide damage range blurs this up, so you might see something like:
1000 700 200 400
Instead of:
1000 500 250 125
Some more interesting tidbits on Final Attack:
Spear/Pole Arm final attack is slower than Axe/Sword/BW final attack.
Final Attack has a bit more range than a normal attack.
Final Attack has a separate accuracy calculation than regular attacks [it has less accuracy].
Iron Will
Supportive
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/ironwill.jpg
Iron Will is probably supposed to be named "Iron Wall," hence the effect and the icon. I might be am never wrong.
Iron Will gives extra Wdef and Mdef to all party members, and the amount it gives is the same as the number of Skill Points put in it.
However, with the recent addition of Grilled Cheeses [NLC potions] and the long-standing tradition of asking clerics to "Bless pl0x," Iron Will is nearly useless.
Here's some calculations on Cheeses vs. Iron Will!
[Assuming that HP costs 1 meso each, and MP costs 2 mesos each]
Iron Will:
Lasts 5 minutes when maxed, costs 24 MP
24 x 2 = 48 mesos for 5 minutes
48 x 6 = 288 mesos for 30 minutes
Gives 20 wdef and 20 mdef.
Cheeses:
Lasts 30 minutes, costs 1000 mesos.
Gives 500 HP and 500 MP.
1000 - 500 - 500 x 2 = -500 for 30 minutes
Gives 20 wdef.
Thus, you're actually saving money by using grilled cheeses, since their original HP/MP healing skills are already well worth the 1000 mesos each.
However, if you use Iron Will, you gain extra MAGIC def, which may help in certain situations [probably unoticable anyway].
Hyper Body
Supportive
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/hb.jpg
HB is THE defining skill of a spearman.
It adds up to 60% extra HP and MP for all party members [meaning 160% of your usual HP/MP, of course].
Not much else to say about it.
Well, it's the flashy-est skill for a spearman until you hit third job. (^_^)b

General Comments
When it says "Spear/Pole Arm" and "Pole Arm/Spear," it means that you can choose either one, but stick with that one. When you see the names of the weapons flipped, choose the other weapon's skill. For example [see below for reference], if you're choosing to use Pole Arm first in a 1.5 Hybrid build, you'd first put points into Mastery : Pole Arm where it says "30 ~ 1 ~ Mastery : Spear/Pole Arm." When you get to level 54, it says "1 ~ Mastery : Pole Arm/Spear." At this point, you should put the Skill Point into "Mastery : Spear," since you went Pole Arm first. It's easier than I made it sound, okay?
Final Attack is saved up for due to its crappyness at lower levels, since it almost never occurs, and it doesn't do you as much good as another regular skill [Power Strike/Slash Blast] would. However, at level 15, FA begins to shine, so that's why I put "Save up" until level 15.
Iron Will isn't really that needed. You could instead put Iron Will points into first job skills such as Endure, Iron Body, and Improving HP Recovery. [No saving up for third job skills though.]

~Tips/Q+A
As you can see, this table of contents is quite unique, and looks nothing like the one I used in the post above.
The Third Job Advancement
HS's "guide (http://global.hidden-street.net/characters/drknight.php)" to this.
1. Go to Nath, and talk to Tylus.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/nathtylus.jpg
2. Go to Dances with Balrog.
He'll comment on how much you've grown again, and...
he'll ask you to defeat his "dark side."
2.5. Buy Potions.
Buy a few allcures from people in the FM, maybe ~20.
Get a few HP pots , 100 should be more than enough.
Get a few Mana Elixers [Or whatever you use for MP], 50 should cover it.
3. Go to Ant Tunnel Park.
...and find the Door of Dimension on the upper right side of the map.
It will teleport you to the third job advancement fighting area.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/3rdjob.jpg
Walk all the way to the right, and enter the portal.
4. Kill Dances with Balrog's dark side.
He has 150000 hp, which looks like a lot, but it really isn't. 20 minutes is more than enough time to kill him, and then kill his carcass five times over.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/3rdjob2-1.jpg
However, he DOES summon Tauromacis, and these DO get your your way somewhat.
When he's dead, he drops this:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/3rdjob3.jpg
After you get this, click on the NPC at the top of the map, and you'll be teleported out of the map.
5. Go back to Dances with Balrog.
He'll give you this:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/3rdjob4.jpg
in return for that black thingy.
6. Go back to Tylus.
Give him the necklace.
At this point, you should go get a dark crystal [refined].
7. Go to Holy Ground at the Snowfield (http://global.hidden-street.net/maps/oselnathdungeon.php#holygroundatthesnowfield).
Here, you'll have to give a dark crystal [refined] to take a quiz with some questions pertaining to maple story.
Answer to the best of your ability, but be warned: If you don't answer one correctly, you'll have to use another dark crystal to initiate the quiz again.
A HS guide for cheaters (http://global.hidden-street.net/characters/3rdjobquestions.php)
You'll get "the Necklace of Wisdom."
8. Go back to Tylus.
And you'll finally be a Dragon Knight!

In-depth Lookz0r
Elemental Resistance
No Piccy! This is a pretty useful skill.
It adds a certain percentage of defence against elemental attacks [such as fire from bains, poison from zombies, etc.].
You probably won't notice anything, but eventually, you'll realize that your potting trips are becoming less frequent.
With 4th Job, this skill is getting more and more attention. The extra def will help keep you from dying while berserk-training in 4th.
Spear/Pole Arm Crusher"
Piccy!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/crusher.jpg
This is the Stabbing attack for Dragon Knights, and should ONLY be used with Spears.... if you're hoping for some good damage/a training skill, that is.
Crusher deals 170% damage nine times when maxed, so its knockback rate is less than if you used Dragon Fury. This is because the damage needed to knock back a monster does not stack, so it goes by the highest number that you see on your screen.
The skill progression goes like this:
Very little damage --> Lots of damage
and [the important part]:
Start: 1 monster, 2 hits [level 1~5]
---> 2 monsters, 2 hits [level 6~11]
---> 3 monsters, 2 hits [level 12~15]
---> 1 monster, 3 hits [level 16~20]
---> 2 monsters, 3 hits [level 21~25]
---> 3 monsters, 3 hits [level 26~30]
So, from levels 1~5, you might as well use Power Strike, since Crusher does only half the damage that power stike would do.
From levels 6~11, Crusher overpowers Power Strike:
Level 6 Crusher: 80% x 2 monsters x 2 hits = 320% damage.
Level 30 Power Strike: 260% damage.
Levels 12~15 are pretty cool.
At level 16, crusher drops back down to hitting one monster at a time. Thus, the damage is MUCH less, and the mobbing points are lost.
Level 15 Crusher: 120% x 3 monsters x 2 hits =720% damage.
Level 20 Crusher: 140% x 1 monster x 3 hits = 420% damage.
So, I advise any DKs looking to go for crusher to save up points over the 3 monster/1 hit period.
At levels 21~25, you'll be feeling good.
However, three hits vs. two hits... two hits wins in speed, by FAR. You'll notice the change immediately. Even though, you'll get used to the three-hit speed in no time!
At levels 26~30, you'll finally be getting that pr0 feeling, and at level 30, you will feel like a GM. [aka, even more pr0.]
Dragon Fury : Spear/Pole Arm
Piccy!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/fury.jpg
Dragon Fury is the Slashing attack for Dragon Knights.
It should ONLY be used for Pole Arms, or for Spear DKs looking for a nice luring skill [aka, it hits all the monsters, and they come to you].
Level 1 Dragon Fury already owns Power Strike, and possibly even Slash Blast, since it's a forced slash.
The maximum for Dragon Fury is 250% damage to 6 monsters, which is like six power strikes at once, with a forced slash.
Also, Dragon Fury has a HUGE range. It hits anywhere from a third to half of the monsters on the screen.
Dragon Fury does a little less theoretical damage than Crusher:
Fury: 250% x 6 = 1500% damage
Crusher: 170% x 3 x 3 = 1530% damage
However, Fury's attack might not always hit 6 monsters, and Crusher's attack might not always hit 3 monsters. Also, Crusher takes more wdef into account, since it strikes 9 times, 3 times more than Fury, thus subtracting 3 wdef of the monster from the damage.
Fury deals 250% damage six times when maxed, so its change of knocking back a monster is higher than Crusher's.
Sacrifice
Piccy!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/sacrifice.jpg
It's flashy.
Sacrifice deals a set percentage of damage, and it takes a set percentage of the damage dealt away from your own HP.
It may sound like a total piece of crap, but it's actually a pretty good attack, but only in its higher levels.
In its lower levels, Sacrifice just sacrifices too much HP.
Maxed, Sacrifice deals 350% damage, which is by far, the highest single damage number you can achieve as a Dragon Knight.
Also, it goes STRAIGHT THROUGH a monster's defense. This makes it invaluable against high-def bosses. Pure pole arm DKs often use Sacrifice against Zakum's bodies.
Dragon Roar
Piccy!
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/roar.jpg
Signature DK skill.
Very very very flashy, and very inspirational to all those spearmen/warriors/low leveled DKs out there.
The actual numbers of the skill, though, aren't very impressive.
You must sacrifice from 30% [maxed] to 59% [level 1] of your HP, spend quite a lot of MP, and will get stunned for 2 to 4 seconds after using the move, which only does 250% damage.
However, the real jewel of this move is the number of monsters it can hit, and its range, being 15 monsters/400% range when maxed.
"15 monsters" is pretty understandable, but what's "400% range?"
Well, it's basically the whole screen, and then some.
Godly, huh?
According to many sources and my own experience, the damage percentage on the skill description is false. Instead of 250% at level 30, Dragon Roar hits around 200% damage.
Power Crash
Piccy here (http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj265/Iexy/120/Guide/powercrash.jpg)!
Power Crash cancels enemies' power up skills.
This means that if you see something like, say, a Birk with a sword over its head, you can use Power Crash to cancel the sword out and thus negate the monster's power up.
Basically, this will never come in handy. Ever.
Dragon Blood
Piccy here (http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj265/Iexy/120/Guide/blood.jpg)!
Dragon Blood used to be so prized...
Well, now that Warrior Elixers are out, this is basically useless.
It gives a maximum of +12 watk for 160 seconds, with a cost of 20 HP/24 MP every four seconds.
Here's some calcs. (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showpost.php?p=393851&postcount=15)
Hmmn. After second thought, I went and got Dragon Blood just cause it looks so damn cool.

xdgr's Build/Opinions!
I have a dumb pure spear build.
I haven't been on my character for a while,
but I think it's..
Maxed Spear crusher
16 Spear fury (don't ask)
Maxed Dragon blood
7 Dragon roar
1 in ER (I think, maybe)
3 Sacrifice
(To all aspiring DK people, DON'T do the build I have)
If you must know about the right 3rd job builds, as a pure spear DK,
I would probably have this if I had a lot of 3rd job SP resets.
Maxed Spear crusher
1 Spear fury
Maxed Dragon roar
3 Sacrifice
1 Power crash
1 ER, or I might just put the rest into ER
Should be around... say, 12 or 11 points left over.
I don't know what to do with the rest of them,
but I think I'd just dump them all into ER or something.
Majal's build!
My Build is uniqe, let me see if I can remember.
Free point into buster,
then making it so it hits 3 or hase 3 attacks,
whatever comes first,
then putting it in, again.
Then maxing roar,
then putting into spear fury.
[B]Builds in a very large nutshell
Pure Spear (no Dragon Blood)
Max out Spear Crusher first. Be sure to skip over the attacking one enemy thrice stage.
Put one point into Spear Fury
Max out either Spear Fury or Dragon Roar next
Max out the other of the two skills
Max out Sacrifice
Max out Elemental Resistance
Dump the rest into whatever you'd like. Power Crash is nice, if not only for looks.
Pure Spear (Dragon Blood)
Max out Spear Crusher. Be sure to skip over the attacking one enemy thrice stage.
Put one point into Spear Fury
Max out Dragon Blood
Max out either Spear Fury or Dragon Roar
Max out the other skill
Max out either Sacrifice or Elemental Resistance
Put the remaining skill points in whatever you'd like
Pure Pole Arm (no Dragon Blood)
Max out Pole Arm Fury
Max out Dragon Roar, Pole Arm Crusher, or Sacrifice next
Max out another of the three
Max out another of the three
Max out Elemental Resistance
Put the remaining points into anything
Pure Pole Arm (Dragon Blood)
Max out Pole Arm Fury
Max out Dragon Blood
Max out Dragon Roar or Sacrifice
Max out the other one
Choose to max either Pole Arm Crusher or Elemental Resistance
Put the leftover points into skills of your choosing
Hybrid A
Max out Spear Crusher or Pole Arm Fury
Put one point into Spear Fury if you went Spear first
Max out Pole Arm Fury or Spear Crusher
Put one point into Spear Fury if you went Pole Arm first
Max out Dragon Roar
Max out Sacrifice
Max out Elemental Resistance
Put the remaining SP into whatever
Hybrid B
Put 10 to 15 points into Pole Arm Fury
Put one point into Spear Fury
Max Spear Crusher
Max Pole Arm Fury
Max out Dragon Roar
Max out Sacrifice
Max out Elemental Resistance
Put the remaining SP into whatever
Hybrid A (dragon blood)
Max out Spear Crusher or Pole Arm Fury
Put one point into Spear Fury if you went Spear first
Max out Dragon Blood
Max out Pole Arm Fury or Spear Crusher
Put one point into Spear Fury if you went Pole Arm first
Max out Dragon Roar
Max out either Sacrifice or Elemental Resistance
Distribute the rest of the SP into whatever skills you want
Hybrid B (dragon blood)
Put 10 to 15 points into Pole Arm Fury
Put one point into Spear Fury
Max Spear Crusher
Max Dragon Blood
Max Pole Arm Fury
Max out Dragon Roar
Max out Sacrifice or Elemental Resistance
Put the remaining SP into whatever you'd like
Skills in builds
Spear Crusher and Pole Arm Fury are needed ASAP.
Spear Fury is needed if you went spear first (or are pure spear).
Dragon Roar is next in line.
Sacrifice and Elemental Resistance are about the same in usefulness. If you do not have to choose, go with Sacrifice first, since Elemental Resistance will be more useful later on.
Pole Arm Crusher isn't THAT useful. If you can choose, max this before Elemental Resistance.
Power Crash is useless.
Dragon blood is the outlyer. If you need it, max it before Dragon Roar. If you don't need it, then don't max it.
Tips, Q/A
Here's a good reference thread (http://www.hidden-street.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23590), if you care.
Q: Spear Fury: Is it a piece of junk?
A: No.
Spear Fury is incredibly helpful in mobbing.
Simply jump, use spear fury, and the monsters will start following you.
No upclose and personal slash blasting necessary!
If you're going pure spear, you should DEFINITELY get spear fury.
If you're going hybrid, I suggest getting spear fury as well.
It really helps at Wolf Spiders and Gobies if your current weapon is a spear.

The 4th Job information is on pages 12 to 13 of this thread.
This is because...
1) I didn't expect to get to 4th Job.
2) I didn't expect to live long enough to see 4th Job come out in GMS.
3) I was lazy.
Anyway, click on the links below to go to their corresponding areas!

Okay, so this section is basically a "BAIBAI SEE U AGEN" deal.
BAIBAI SEE U AGEN.
Anyway, please tell me if I screwed something up on this guide, because I was really rushing at the end. I did sections 4 through 7 in one day [section 4 referring to the second time], and I probably made some huge ass typos.
Blah.
DKs r pwnagez0r.
Very pwnagez0r.
Spearmen r less pwnagez0r, but stil r pwnagez0r.
Oh, and if the rest of the guide didn't teach you anything, just remember this:
DON'T STALK ME AND RANDOMLY DEFAME ME.
OR TRY TO SCAM ME OF MY ACCOUNT.
wtp.
...and here's the typical scam0rstalker I meet every once in a while:
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u319/NEGlMA/lolscamor.jpg
I bet he's fapping to my guide right now, that nubz0r.
EDIT: LOL, it turned out too big for HS.
Whatever, use a magnifying glass [aka, I'll redo it later].
But, still, I have time to add my usual thanks you section:
The guide would not have been at all possible had it not been for...
Builds [Assault], for crazy leveling skillz.
Majal, for poking my ass to keep going on.
Recondite, for being a cool guild.
All my old guildmates from Debonair, for not being jerks *cough Lisa cough*
Tiger, for being my role model*
SpearAthlete, for being the first DK I ever saw, after coming back from a six month break.
All of those friends who helped me level to 130.
Yes you, Mr. pmage Evander, and you, Chelsea the quitter, and Steph, and Lisa, and Daniel and Daniel, and Jerry, and Neil the failure, Andy and Wayne, James Graves, Ahmed, Ron, Chris, Chris, and Chris, and Jamie, Ying, Aaron, Mark, David, Sal, Wayne, Lan, Will, Ben, Donkeyhead Doug, Tim, Jen, Holly, Zhu and Zhi, Izak, Sam, Ryanis, and the other over nine thousand douchebags I've met and been friends with for the four years I've mapled.
* ~ I don't care what anybody says. I saw him at level 12x, and he made me who I am in Maple today, and I still look up to him. No, I'm not a Tiger stalker/groupie. And yes, I do like to laugh at the people who are such. And no, I'm not in denial of being a Tiger groupie, but like many GMS players, I see him as a legend.
Contributors:
Assault, for the "Questions for DKs" thread, and for the build from that thread
JRKnight from YouTube, for informative vids
xdgr, for his build[s]
Myrih, for noticing a ton of typos.
Wigum, for noticing that I mis-noticed something.
Majal, for his "uniqe" build + training suggestions [aka Lotz now]
emailbox, for being an intelligent butt.
darkkillerEx, for a training suggestion!

So... bere's the REAL introduction:
Maple Story is a fun MMORP- wait.
This is HS.
If you found your way here, you know what MS is.
Hmmm...
This is HS? O_O
Did you copy this from somewhere?

HS stands for Hidden Street, apparently. Just look at a few of the links...
And it isn't plagiarized. Unless this person is an... IMPOSTER!

Is this for the event or are you just posting this here because you feel like it? Anyways, this is a great guide. I hope you post your meso-making guide on here soon. :D

This guide isn't for the event, since the event only allows brand-new guides.
Also, I will post my Meso Guide... someday. Once I get around to updating/finishing it/all three of my half-done guides.
Just to add, in the 2nd Job Training Spots at Evil Eye Caves to climb up just enter the Cash Shop or the MTS and exit it.
You'll spawn at the top in less than a blink =)

You may want to take the time and change all of the [del][./del] tags into [strike][./strike] tags.
Edit: and oh yeah, rickrolls are infraction-able, right?
