Brings me back to when Khaini was still shiny and fresh.
Looking good so far. One thing: characters on a new server probably want to max Recovery, since it's a free... what is it, 80 HP every minute? In the course of an hour, that saves almost 5k. Adds up, in the earlier levels.
Don't forget to, ah, "prove you've read the rules" :f3:

That gets verified by me before I approve the guide and then I remove that sentence. This section is moderated.

Ahhh okay. The meaning of 'moderated' didn't register to me at first.

That sounded quite hard Fiel, sorry. You could've made it softer, just saying.

Didn't come off that way to me.
I felt stupid for a second, but that had little to do with his wording.
Okey, I got the emphasis wrong then... It was just me.
Nvm Fiel.

i noticed a few spelling/gramatical mistakes:
"With all the new quests in MapleGlobal, on Maple Island, you'll get LOADS of potions, which will last you got a long time. You'll also get either a Red Sporty Cap, or a Blue Sporty Cap, both of which can be sold for a small fortune."
that part is a bit confusing...
"Do your Job specific quests for more, free, potions (most of the time, the quest interlines with your training, mainly the Archer one with Slimes). (Those quests also give you good EXP, so they are worth doign as soon as you get them)."
typo =b
"At this point, you wont need to use MP potions (unless you're a magician, and I'll get more onto that later). Just use Normal attack for a while, conserving those potions. However, those 'Red Potion for Beginners' will become less and less usefull the higher level you become. Same with the 'Blue Potion for Beginners', but they can still be used at higher levels."
useful takes 1 L =)
"Now, you'll probably need to use potions to gain any form of leveling. But, if you can, use them sparsly, only when urgently needed, to save every last one you could double-pot on."
it's spelt sparsely.
and personal question: explain double-pot? i don't understand the meaning here... pot twice? the point is?
those are the few i noticed while skimming through it... it's not something major, but just feels it's better if you could perfect even the smallest details =)
now comments about what's written:
- the sporty caps MAY be worth something in old worlds because not everyone has it, and european players who maxed out their 3 characters cannot make new ones to get it anymore, but in a new world, i doubt it'd be worth much because everyone starting there could get one with relative ease, so i don't think it can be sold for much more than NPC price at all.
- MCPQ will be good for meso saving, but by the time you stop MCPQing, since you didn't make much mesos unless you got enough gold coins to get a lot of necklaces, when you stop at 4x-50, you'd be a bit too poor to afford the higher level equipments. from my personal experience, it was at lvl 50 that items started being extremely expensive.
- the most effective method for me, is train on monsters who have decent meso drop such as sakura cellions at 3x. picking up ALL ETC items is also important. training on a monster for a long time will yield a LOT of those ETC items which can either be NPC'ed for a plenty of mesos, enough for buying more potions or orbis monsters ETC can be sold a bit higher to players intending to exchange quest their new chars, or even EQ yourself for more potions and chances at getting scrolls.

Great start. Good luck with the contest. There are definitely a few spelling and grammar mistakes in here, but you have plenty of time to proofread.
