A comic I made

An attempt at comic-making. I didn't feel like putting in a background, since it seemed like an unnecessary effort that didn't add to the joke. What do you think? I submitted it onto Basilmarket and people seemed to like it (my username there is smartguy11).

P.S. In case you don't get it, the guy pointing up is referring to heaven and the other guy is just being retarded.

I think a background would actually make the comic more visually pleasing, but, as you said, it wouldn't have any other application to the comic. I'm not sure if a plain color background would be better or worse.
