Well folks we're not out of the woods yet but we're pretty dang close and the bing bang update is looking like it'll see the light very soon
with that in mind I'm sure all of us will enjoy our shiny new skills but us old vets have one advantage the greenhorns don't

1. we already went through hell to get to where we are
2. The SP rest is a lot more beneficial for us.
3. we're already at 4th job and many of our skills attacking skills are off the keyboard

When Nexon was designing the classes there were maybe two to three that wouldn't reach max level and we're not necessary; some would say useless. This was mainly due to the dip you'd take in dps therefore slowing your leveling speed considerably, thus there was a trade-off between having small advantageous skills and leveling slower to doing higher damage without the extra pick me ups.

I don't know about you but I don't think I'll be using Power strike anytime soon so with that in mind I give you a possible build that is suitable for at least for hero's who've made it to 130

For convenience I'll just state what won't be maxed.

1st job

PS and SB are at lvl 15 each

2nd job

Ground smash at 10/ max Imp. Combat

or

Imp. Combat at 0

3rd job

Brandish at 11

or

11 free points

4th

You're on your own~

There are a couple quips about this build and that is mainly to problem of books. Now by 10 SP Brave slash is hitting around ~165% per hit to around 495% (I say this because I am unsure if fiel has edited the KOR 1.2.318 skill tables). Brandish maxed is 440%. None the less even at level 10 BrS is even if not marginally better than Brandish. With that in mind we benefit with a skill that buff's defense, maxed armor crash, decent mp recovery, and a now useful shout that can stun the entire rushed mob while we finish off the job

-for knockback, brandish will always be better unless you have a large crit chance so that brave slash's 3rd hit evens it out
-i'm under the impression brave slash is significantly slower than brandish, either evening out dps or giving brave slash a marginal lead. i think i won't want to sacrifice the utility of having 2 situational attacking skills for... what... 18 mp / 10 s? fuck mp regen, even if it got a teeny buff.

Actually someone ripped the delays from KMST a few versions ago. Brave Slash and Brandish are the same speed (840ms). I've been searching for which extraction thread it was, but have been unable to find it.

I myself am starting to redesign my Hero Build. One thing I would recommend is that if you plan on fighting Balrog, max Power Strike at the very least and get the passive 2nd job skill that increases its damage. I plan on skipping out on Ground Smash. It's the same case as Paladins vs. Heroes now: Brandish (Ground Smash) is better on 2 and 3 mobs where Blast (Power Strike) is better on 1 mob and Charged Blow (Slash Blast) is better on 4, 5, and 6 mobs. I'd much rather spend the points elsewhere.

For the third job, I'm really questioning what to do. Magic Crash seems different since it is the same for all warriors now. If it removes weapon and magic cancel, I'm sold, otherwise I'll probably just dump my points into Relax again. I'm still maxing Brandish in the event they pull another case where you can only used certain job skills. A new boss (or if PvP is inevitable) could suggest this to occur.

One thing to mention is the 4th job build will change. Advanced Combo will be earned first, hands down. From 25% (5% for each of the 5 orbs) bonus damage to 100% (10% for each of the 10 orbs) bonus damage, it easily gives more than Brandish to Brave Slash.

It doesn't... but apparently chaos Zakum wont use weapon/magic cancel for a while when hit with Magic Crash. 0.o Not sure how reliable this tidbit is though. It came from an earlier thread. Hm, so it prevents buffs from being cast for an amount of time... now I really smell game-breaking PvP on the way...
I mean really, Paladins with a self, timed heal and a short buff that negates damage at a chance? When would you ever consider either? You can just as easily spam pots and I sure wouldn't want to cast a buff every 30 seconds. Oh well, it's definitely something for me to consider now. I'll probably get max Magic Crash and 11 Relax then.
