Two new map icons were added this patch for places I've never heard of --> Edelstein and Leben. What could be up with these new towns?

Also, skill balancing stuff is coming.... looks like they changed a lot of stuff. One of the first things I noticed was that they added mastery books for Hex of the Beholder, Aura of the Beholder, and Bahamut. Also, a lot of new skill icons were added.
Fighter:
- Skill that increases Slash Blast and Power Strike increased to 70% and 120%, respectively.
- Orb damage increased to 4%/orb at max level.
- Brave Slash damage increased to 225%. Horizontal and vertical range reduced. Skill delay reduced significantly.
Page:
- Skill that increases Slash Blast and Power Strike increased to 70% and 120%, respectively.
- Healing skill's cooldown increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds
Spearman:
- Skill that increases Slash Blast and Power Strike increased to 70% and 120%, respectively.
- Dragon blood's time increased to 200 seconds. The lower levels of DB give higher amounts of WATK, but the max level still gives the same WATK. Before, level 1 would give 2 WATK. Now it gives 10.
- Berserk's damage increased to 70%
- Beholder's revenge damage greatly increased by +300% at all levels

- MP Eater now requires level 5 Spell Mastery
- Explosion's damage increased by +110% at all levels
- Poison Mist's damage increased by +40% at all levels
- Elemental Composition's damage increased to 400%
I/L:
- MP Eater now requires level 5 Spell Mastery
- Ice Strike's damage increased by +60% at all levels
- Thunder Spear now has a 80% chance to stun at max level. I do not know if this is 80% for each attack or if it's 80% chance on each mob per skill usage.
- Elemental Composition's damage increased to 460%
- Ice Demon's Damage over Time variable reduced by 10 at all levels
- Chain Lightning now only hits up to 3 mobs. Damage massively increased to 700%. A new variable called "x" was added and is 10 at all levels. This does not show in the skill readout. I'm assuming that "x" represents the bounce damage reduction, meaning each successive hit is reduced by 10% overall (so first mob is 100%, second is 90%, third is 80%)
Cleric:
- MP Eater now requires level 5 Spell Mastery
- Shining Ray's range is reduced by 40 pixels in either direction for a total horizontal range reduction of 80 pixels.
- Summon Dragon's damage greatly reduced to 310% damage
- Bahamut's damage greatly reduced by 230% at all levels

- PKB's damage greatly increased to 280%. The probability for knockback is increased at lower levels.
- Arrow Bomb's splash damage increased to 310%.
- Improved Fundamentals increased Arrow Bomb and Double Shot's damage to +100% and +60%, respectively
- Inferno's damage increased by +150% at all levels
- Arrow Rain's damage increased by +50% at all levels
- Silver Hawk's damage increased by +50% at all levels
- Strafe's damage increased by +15% at all levels
- Bow Expert's WATK bonus increased from 11 to 30
- Dragon's Breath damage increased by +30% at all levels
- Hurricane's damage increased by +20% at all levels
- Hamstring's buff duration increased by 30 seconds at all levels
Crossbowman:
- PKB's damage greatly increased to 280%. The probability for knockback is increased at lower levels.
- Soul Arrow's duration increased to 300 seconds (was 20 seconds, hahaha)
- Iron Arrow's damage increased to 340%
- Improved Fundamentals increased Iron Arrow and Double Shot's damage to +100% and +60%, respectively
- Blizzard's damage greatly increased to 400%
- Arrow Eruption's damage increased by +50% at all levels
- Golden Eagle's damage increased by +50% at all levels
- Strafe's damage increased by +15% at all levels
- Marksman Boost's WATK bonus increased from 11 to 30
- Dragon's Breath damage increased by +30% at all levels
- Pierce's damage massively increased to 1000%
- Blind's buff duration increased by 30 seconds at all levels

Assassin:
- Avenger's damage increased to 530%
Bandit:
- Shield Mastery's max level decreased to 10
- Chakra's max level decreased to 10. The end result is the same.
- Assaulter's max level decreased from 30 to 20. MP cost increased slightly. Now attacks 1 mob 3 times. Damage increased by +90% at all levels.
- Band of Thieves damage changed to 410% and only attacks once for each mob. (was 230% * 2 strikes, is now 410% * 1 strike)
- New skill --> Shadow Partner. The max level is 20. MP consumption is 80 and consumes 1 summoning rock per use. It lasts for 180 seconds. The Shadow Partner's rate of damage is 40%. The skill is added for third job.
- New skill --> Flash Jump.
- Meso Guard's max level reduced from 20 to 10. The end result is the same.
- BStep's damage reduced to 390%
- Assassinate's damage greatly increased to 610%
- I'm pretty sure Nexon meant to increase the level of Pickpocket, but they didn't. Instead, they removed the maximum level variable. Tespia is going to be lol.

- Transformation now gives WATK. It's 20 WATK at max level.
- Dragon Strike's damage increased by +15% at all levels
- Barrage's damage increased by +55% at all levels
- Super Transformation now gives WATK. It's 30 WATK at max level.
- Demolition's damage increased by +80% at all levels
- Counter Attack's duration is increased to 45 seconds.
Gunslinger:
- Flamethrower's damage increased to 380%. Mob count increased to 6. Damage over time increased from 60 to 80. Damage over time duration increased from 5 to 7 seconds.
- Cooling Effect's damage increased by +60% at all levels. Freeze duration increased by 2 seconds. Mob count increased to 6.
- Homing's range increased by 50 to 400. Damage increased to 400%.
- Advanced Homing's range increased by 50 to 400. Damage increased by+60% at all levels.
- Cannon's bullet consumption increased from 4 to 5.
- Rapid Fire's damage decreased by -70% at all levels. Range reduced from 420 to 400.
- Counter Attack's duration is increased to 45 seconds.
Dawn Warrior:
- Soul Blade's damage increased by +70% at all levels.
- Coma's damage increased by +40% at all levels.
- Soul Driver's damage greatly increased to 250% (was 140%)
Blaze Wizard:
- Fire Pillar's damage increased to 290%
- Fire Strike's damage increased by +20% at all levels
Wind Archer:
- Double Shot's damage increased by +10% at all levels
- Final Attack's damage increased by +20% at all levels
- Storm Break's damage increased by +100% at all levels
- Arrow Rain's damage increased by +50% at all levels
Night Walker:
- Avenger's damage increased to 530%
Thunder Breaker:
- Energy Burst's damage increased by +10% at all levels
- Transform's duration increased to 180 seconds. Cooldown increased from 300 to 320 seconds. Now gives +20 WATK at max level.
- Barrage's damage increased by +5% at all levels
- Combo Smash's damage increased by +100% at all levels
- Full Swing's damage increased by +10%
- Combo Critical's crit rate increased to +4%/10 attacks.
- Combo Peril's damage increased by +200% at all levels
- Overswing's damage increased to 200%/250%
- Soul Dragon no longer requires level 10 magic missile
- Ice Breath's damage increased to 360%
- Magic Critical's probability doubled at all levels
- Magic Amplification damage increased by +5% at all levels
- Increased Dragon's Breath damage by +110% at all levels
- Killing Wing's damage increased to 530%
- Earthquake's damage increased to 740%
- Ghost Lettering damage increased to 850%
- Flame Wheel's damage increased by +200% at all levels
- Blaze's damage increased by +50% at all levels. A new variable, "x", was introduced and x=10 at all levels. Like Chain Lightning I"m betting this is bounce damage reduction. So 100%, 90%, 80%... or also 100%, 90%, 81%, 72.9%, etc. Not sure which it is.

Apparently, what makes sense is that all three jobs are the RESISTANCE, fighting against the control of the Black wings on that town.
So I'd say all three start in the same town. Makes sense.

Actually, I was thinking Mechanics are born in Edelstein and are with the Black Wings. While maybe Battle Mage and Wild Hunter are born in Leben and are a Resistance to Edelstein and the Mechanics.

Actually, if you look at the NPCs, you can see each of those guys are connected to the town... Just have a look at Spadow's and you'll see that the battle mage is undercovered as a street cleaner, the Wild Hunter as a policewoman, and the Mechanic as... A guy dressed as a human Teddy bear giving balloons to kids.
So, Maybe Leben is their hideout, or they have an underground one. But all three linked for sure.

On another note.

Perhaps with a new rebalance, we can finally have them, I don't know...balanced?
Edit: What I think, Meta, is that the maps changed so much that it would be impossible for those classes to do the skill quests to up the mastery level.

So. . . with all these changes I am not sure but at max would combo give a boost of 75%? And Berserk gives 70% which makes Combo and Berserk almost equal since Berserk now works in reverse.
Also, with the buff to Beholder's Revenge I have to wonder just exactly how this skill works because 700% damage might actually put Dark Knights high for once.

Yeah, sorry. I thought it was 40 but after double checking it was Hex that got 40 attack. So, Dragon's Blood gives 10 attack at level 1, and 30 at level 20.

Haha, badass bossing skill for I/Ls now. F/Ps are still shafted.
700%*1.25*1.3=1137.5% damage*88 casts per minute/60 seconds/minute=1668%/s.
Since all we have is that one bishop's range right now, I'll use that. (4826+3620)/2=4223 average, *1668%=70,439 DPS. Seems about what it is now, but remember this bishop is lukless, meaning the highest level weapon he can use is that lvl 76 maple wand. Take whatever weapon you're using in the 4th job, and switch it out for a likely 100%'d lvl 70-80 weapon, and your DPS would be low too. Imagine an AM using a lvl 163 elemental staff.
Oh, and I just realized, because of the formula change, apples are just as broken for magicians as any other class now.

Also, congratulations, shadowers! You got your well deserved spot now. HOWEVER, expect they MIGHT add a slight drawback on shadow partner, like increased mp useage... We use x2 stars while on shadow partner, they might pull that off, but it'd be not important. Anyways, enjoy your new partner, and also, welcome to the same part of the board now... Where you hate to get your summon rocks.
Also, us Night Lords should rejoice too. Avenger at 560% is simply... BEASTLY. I mean, we can now train efficiently... Like, for real! Everything DOES seem to be getting even.
Looks like they buffed Arans too. I'll get to that in a bit.

Well, since I played him before even 4th job was out therefore making leech all but impossible, I am safe.
I have to say that Korea is doing a good job. I feel like wiping the dust off all my old Explorer classes.

They've must of tried considering bstep hit 4 times as a single skill 2 patches ago. I guess this gives shadowers more "appeal"

Perhaps the range is the "explosion" range. So you fire your arrow, and when it hits it hits everyone within the range specified of the exploded arrow.

Power brings consequences. We carried them since the beginning. Don't worry, it's not that bad. 100 rocks last for 5 hours. And if you are worried about space, use the storage and a couple of mules in the same account. You'll get used to it.

- Hamstring's buff duration increased by 30 seconds at all levels Ah now this is a real good one. increased duration might be worth it to put a couple points in 14/15x, rather than the usual 17x or above

- Strafe's damage increased by +15% at all levels Considering that both rangers and snipers get the same boost, i feel that for snipers, strafe needs a better boost at least 30%. God knows we need that boost
- Marksman Boost's WATK bonus reduced from 30 to 11

- Pierce's damage massively increased to 1000% <3 it. One buff. i 100% agree with:f2:
- Blind's buff duration increased by 30 seconds at all levels see my comments regarding hamstring above
From this round of changes, i am mostly happy with the set of buffs. Our main skills get a nice damage buff, while LOL skills like Hamstring and blind get a nice timer buff, making them a bit more usable then before.
However, i worry that the developers are missing the point of these buffs, tacking on unnecessary damage increases to to mainly utility skills missing the point that this skills were used for their effect rather then their damage.These skills were fine where they were. if they needed to be changes, it could be more along the lines of hitting more monsters or increasing the duration of effects like freeze or stun.
While i am not against these changes, i fear that it might be the start of an undesirable trend for bowmen.

One little question... Is there anything in the data regarding star usage? I mean, apparently avenger was changed to only one star used, right? And what about shadow partner? Does it still use x2 stars? And the star recharge skill... Does it work PER STAR or per attack?

- Band of Thieves damage changed to 410% and only attacks once for each mob. (was 230% * 2 strikes, is now 410% * 1 strike)

- New skill --> Shadow Partner. The max level is 20. MP consumption is 80 and consumes 1 summoning rock per use. It lasts for 180 seconds. The Shadow Partner's rate of damage is 40%. The skill is added for third job.
6 hit assasinate anyone? guess thats a + even tho im not sure what to think about it (LF>this in action with shadower skills)

I just noticed... 2nd job, thief. My build included ditching both shadow web and shadow meso... And adding it to endure.
Now I have 138 SP in my second job... But to max the second job now, you only need 130. So... What's gonna happen to that 8 SP? Will stay in second job? I CAN'T EVEN GET THEM BACK TO THIRD JOB WITH A SP RESET. Unless they changed it... Anyone knows? Luckily it'd be not important, since the only loss would be exactly the skills I ditched, but still...

First of all, this character was created during the 318 patch period.. second sorry but i dont think its possible for me to not leech :/, third its not a statless char, only has 1.3mil because its in aquila... i used to be from aquila(my bishop is in bootes) and last, its a fun class because i heard the delays were reduced.
Backstory : In 2008, when my bishop was still a cleric, pirates got released and i played an infighter, i deleted it a month later at level 48 for what the hell reason i forgot..
This updates is just another reason for me to make another one. And i mentioned i used to be from A wold, well guess what, i have alevel 50 fire mage to pineapple around with after the update!!!

Well, assuming they redid the damage formulas for max damage, 100% in current Maple does not equate to 100% in kMST. If the multiplier went up, a lower skill percentage would actually yield an increase in damage.

As I read through the extraction I got wicked excited from reading that brave slash's delay was reduced and the skill was strengthened. It was great news to hear after getting lost in a neighboring town on an, overall, 3.5 hour walk in 80 degree madness. Then I read through each page of this thread to find out that it's faster than Brandish.

1 - Shout's animation. It just plain sucks. I don't care if they take that shaking out, just make it look better, not even good, just better than it looks now.
2 - Make it so stun can't be canceled by physical attacks. Even if it lasts 2 seconds, that would turn Attack Chance into an usefull skill, otherwise it Sucks too. This change to stunning would benefit not just heroes but also paladins and buccaneers.
Please Nexon Korea, give this to us.

Also, glad about the RF damage nerf--to be honest I'd have preferred if it'd at least be around 200% like it is now in GMS but now we have a reason to use cannon again I think. Also about cannon, does the extra bullet mean it hits 5 times now instead of 4, or does it just take more ammo?
Boo at the cleric nerfs but it ain't so bad that I still don't want to make one.

Cannon attacks at 600 ms, or 100 times per minute, or 1.667 times per second.
180%*8=1440%/second
280%*5*1.667=2333.8%/second

Weapon attack in both Transformation states give me a reason to Transform now, and with such a low downtime NOT being in Super Saiyan form I'm gettnig 10-18 extra attack over my normal attack pot/bubble attack buff 90% of the time; I don't even think I need to carry around attack pots anymore, and I can actually carry Onyx Apples because I will be able to actually boss. Restoring Demolition back to it's original strength is awesome. Barrage now dealing 360%x6=2,160% assuming Barrage's nodelay is unchanged that's 4,320% damage in comparison to the old lolBarrage+DS combo is about a 30% increase in 1v1 damage, and that's before factoring in actual criticals. Slightly buffing DS is icing on the cake. Increasing Counter Attack to 45 seconds? As if it won't be easy enough already to activate it since it's a 40% proc rate. I'm pretty much guaranteed a 40 attack buff for an entire boss run unless it's a speed run.
Awesome buffs are awesome. I'd need yet another new change of pants but I'm at school atm. >:E

I think putting it in the 4-6 range would balance it out with Paralyze, because on mobs of 4+ Paralyze out damages CL. One last thing I wish they'd fix is Cold Beam, FP has Fire Arrow which used to be their usless 2nd job skill, but now their's mob, they also have Poison Brace which is super useful. Cold Beam however is just lack luster, it's a single target freezer, we obviously need some type of Freezing skill 2nd job as Ice/Lit Wizards, but in terms of usefulness Cold Beam is lacking.
Buccs are manly that way, and they can finally deal the damage to back it up too.

Dang, I really was not expecting that big of a change from the previous patch.
Current:
BS = 500% x 2 = 1000%
Assassinate = 600% x 3 +735% = 2535%
KMST:
BS = 390% x 2.8 = 1092%
Assassinate = 610% x 4.2 + 745% x 1.4 = 3605%
=> 37% DPS increase, roughly, on the Assassinate+4th+BS combo. Old: 1310%/sec, new: 1794%/sec based on 240ms DS.
have you played shadower? every high lvl shadower will tell you that assasinate is our main bossing skill not bs also as i said before it does not have sens when someone can hit something thats far away with bare fist and someone using a weapon cant even tho its a "sneak up" skill kthx

I haven't hopped on it yet, but justin says the invincibility from CSB was reduced. Instead of the frames extending for the whole delay time, it's only present for half.
Comparing HP/MP values at level 36, brawlers now have 300 more base HP, and 130ish more MP.

Because shadowers shouldn't even be hitting the high arms, that's why there's tons of lower arms close to platforms. :l

Greed got buffed slightly. it now takes 20% off of the mesos used by meso guards bringing the total down to 41%. So, meso guard should be 40% damage taken and 41% of the 60% is turned into mesos. Pretty nice in my opinion.

but i think their concept comes from Dragonball Z, their energy orb etc, transformation = super saiyan >_<

I think Chain Lightning might actually outdamage Evan's Blaze now. Looking at the skill tables, it seems that Mages have their -2 speed booster back so there shouldn't be a speed drop.

Edit:Eh I'll just sum it up. It's a video game, most of it wouldn't make sense or work in the real world. There are dozens of other things in this game that are extremely unrealistic or impossible.
Edit Edit: On the topic of the changes, are these dragon strike 'increases' based off of the increase from the 560% it was nerfed to several KMST patches ago? Or the original damage of it? Basically is it 560% + 120%+ 15%; or is it 810% +120% + 15% ?

Damage means nothing if it can't connect.. Nothing wrong with increasing sinates pixel range so that it can actually connect.

Lol, Shadower's are such a perfect bandwagon now. I mean really, a boosted Assassinate shouldn't work with SP. Now they get FJ too.. forget using Assaulter as a movement skill. I'm thinking SP won't work with B-Step either as B-Step is already a nice skill.

Not when F/Ps get a better freezing skill than I/Ls 4th job, give CL a stun effect, and 4-6 mobs and I/L be happy, we will be on the only Magician class with stun, plus it makes sense since TS stuns.

Currently, there's a very good chance that more drastic changes are coming for archmages.
It seems as though they haven't decided on what direction to take with chain lightning/other skills.
*First, it was 6 targets, 10 targets, and now 3...*

Spadow already posted in his blog that Attack Chance increases damage by 120% when attacking a stunned monster or one in state of darkness. However the only skill that inflicts darkess is panic and stun is canceled after any phisical attack, so it's not that usefull, however if stun didn't get canceled that easily, you could use shout when jumping from platfrom to platform and then attack them while still stunned, turning both, Shout / Brave Slash powered by Attack chance into a cool combo.

They nerfed BS already so that it's just barely stronger without SP. Assassinate is nothing impressive already, so SP not working with it is silly.

if SP doesnt work with assasinate and/or bs, it will then be alot less useful.
since dual blade hav SP or something like that, i feel that the SP for shadowers shld work with assasinate & BS.
but i hav my reserves on nexon, i juz dun trust them.

You already have a second of invincibility with B-Step, so why make it compatible with SP? I'd rather have SP work with SB so it hits 12 times while chaining B-Step with it.

To those arguing about the range of buc's fists vs shadowers weapons:
If you have nice logical points to point out that relate to a possible update, post them here.
If you want to argue about it in general not in related to these updates, make a new thread.
If you can't do it without personal attacks, take it to PMs, or better yet, leave out the personal attacks.
Both sides had valid points to make... just... try to keep it less personal.
Back to the point:
So Aran's first two finishers (Smash and Penril/Fenrir) got boosted but tempest didn't? Also, yay at higher combo critical :3

Why shouldn't it be compatable with SP? I mean, Triple Throw does more damage than L7 and it's already a really nice skill so it shouldn't be compatible with SP at all. Also, think for a minute: Why should a second job skill be stronger than a 4th job skill?

NL's hav dominated as the main atker for most boss fight for long enough, it is high time for them to share the limelight, especially with their counterpart who had been seduce mule in HT risking their precious exp while NL bask in the glory of getting the main %.

I get what you're saying, but B-Step and Assassinate don't seem like the type of skill to work with SP because they have delays built-in. Then again, I haven't really focused much on DB's skills, so they could have attack skills with delay that works with Mirror Image.

NL's put just as much effort into their chars as the rest of the cast in maple. Why the hell should they be shafted just because nexon didn't balance the classes correctly? At this point your argument is more about your hatred towards a single class than balane. Sairs out damage NL's and yet people are still crying that NL's are the OP class? To be honest I have NEVER ONCE heard someone cry that sairs are OP. Sairs don't even have to rely on another class to do their crazy damage, and NL's are over powered? Seriously you people need to get off your "All NL's are 1337 13 yr old dexless narutards" it's getting damn old. I'm all for balancing classes but shafting others because they happened to get the longer end of the stick in the beginning isn't right. Shadowers with all respect is the best class to do the job and will remain the best class to get the job done. Sure it isn't right that none were taken as attackers but someone is going to have to be sed mule either way and chances are a shadower will end up having to do so. Lastly yeah it's cool NL's did a lot of the attacking but are you forgetting that the % isn't really what they're complaining about, it's the fact that they want to get in on the action.. If it was % they were complaining about they have no complaining to do, being the 2nd fastest training class not good enough (after magicians).

@fiel: Would you know if Tempest was changed so that it actually deals damage to ice resistant (not immune) bosses?
As it is right now, Dodo (Who resists ice, but is not immune... went there on my aran) doesn't take any damage at all from tempest. I used tempest twice on it and it's hp bar didn't even twinge slightly.

They're still there... they're just not what defines your class anymore. Killing without crits is more reliable anyways, you should try it sometime.

NL get good exp by bossing, how often do u see bandits attending female boss fight for the exp?
NLs had used the female boss as training tool. fancy u try to train a bandit doing the same.
as for myself, i hav both sin and bandit chars, i noe the diff in their training.
i noe how imba NLs are and how the game had preferred NLs over bandits.
i had personally preferred bandit for the skill required in handling them.

I understand that but i think that's what i liked.. i hate the yellow damage, it makes stuff boring.. I loved seeing crits all the time especially when you get like 4-5 throws all 6 critting thats so awesome.. When i see all non-crit damage it's like "ewww D:"

You said you don't like seeing yellow numbers... Crit's numbers are red... even if the % isn't so massive it's 50k higher dmg than the rest of your stars...
And Mages are QQ'ing about their loss of Gen/Bliz/Meteo when they still have it, but just can't spam... I see a pattern in all the QQ...

My other comments:
1) I welcome the Dodge skill, and perhaps the better way is to imbue/ infuse Dodge + Thrust 2gether instead of a seperate skill.
2) Why the hell is there a need for a newer skill that knocks back mobs? When there's no more "min distance for range" class? Dragon breath aka Dragon pulse, the newer 4th job knock back and PKB are all so worthless when there's no nid for distance.
3) Replace the newer skill with something like Stance or something that improves the cric % chances.
4) Is there a way to find out how Mortal Blows work? is it still only for mobs only? or does it work on bosses too? Works with hurricane (highly doubt if it would)?

I know the difference between the two o.0 50k higher? I was informed crit damage was nerfed to 10% rather than 200% damage.. Confirm pls? Also how exactly is me complaining because the crit numbers appeal to me the same as mages Q.Qing because they can't legit bot and watch tv anymore(sorry this just doesn't register for me).
