I bet you can't beat this one.

Of course we can't, there's no beginning or end. :P

I couldn't even find where it starts :f7:
Edit: Ummmm... I did not just make myself feel like an idiot.

Let me see, give me a 24 pack of pepsi, my iPod and I'll have it done in a day or two... also you have to tell me where the start and finish is because I am not gonna strain my eyes trying to find them...:f3:
WiseAlon32
2008-08-25, 06:35 AM
there's only 1 start, at the right side...
i dont know where the finish is though, it's prbably unknown cuz lazy people start from the finish..
anyways, not too hard, after all it's a maze.
There is a start and a finish - they are both on the right side, about 1.5 inches apart near the bottom of the right side. Kalas, get out your pepsi and iPod :)

I said give me a 24 pack of pepsi, I'm not wasting my own on this...lol.

The same thing happened to me, I opened it and saw the minimized picture, I'm not even going to try and look at it maximize it xD.

Anyone else besides me actually attempting to do it or am I the only one crazy enough?

Done!

/jk. I'm really about 1/128th of the way done....random estimate.
^ rofl.
I think this will be entertaining for me to do during lecture, actually. Will print it out and have a go today. I'm thinking using a pen to colour in the wrong routes, so it'll leave a white path? (and hopefully be easier?)
I opened that and then immediately closed it before it finished loading. :f2:

My hands staring to hurt...:f7: Im'm going to take a 10 min break or so.
Also, I'm doing this without my iPod(died, cursed short battery life...),with root beer because I'm out of Pepsi, and with bacon.
Edit~ just made it to the very top of the maze....wow that was a roundabout path.

That maze makes my eyes hurt.
Kalas
2008-08-25, 03:44 PM
It hurts mine to if I stare at it when its small, thats why I have it zoomed in at 4x, it doesn't hurt my eyes anymore but if i stare at it to much it makes me dizzy. I would say im about 25%10% done...yay for having nothing better to do.
Edit~ Reached the far left wall...getting bored but almost there.
Edit~~ 75%45% Done, reached bottom wall. I'm done for now, too bored and my hand is killing me...

Wow, impressive grinding skills. I'm gonna start now checking what I can do to get the way out of that maze the fastest way possible. Looking at theories, mainly.

If only those grinding skills would transfer over to me training my DK...
I'm going to give it one last shot before I find something else to do.
Edit~ Dang, wasn't able to finish it in time and I have to start over, don't ask.

You guys are nubs. I'll tell you the pro way to solve this maze.
Copy image. Paste into image editting program. Select the 'fill' tool. Choose a different color. Fill in the white.
After you fill everything in, you see that this maze is bogus. You can start anywhere and get anywhere. You can go anywhere in the maze from any starting point. Thanks for wasting a minute of my life.
:f6: If you fill something in, however, in a maze...doesn't it fill in the whole thing? I mean, the fill in doesn't just follow a certain path, lol. The fill in travels through all routes.

The question was how good I was at the maze. The answer is that I'm so awesome I can try every single possibility in 5 seconds. I'm godly.

That's what I did wrong. I forgot to mess with the contrast and pixel editting.
I failed.
Okay. I printed it out. Doesn't fit on one page; I resized to 49% and printed on two pages instead of anywhere between four and nine pages. The resolution is still so tiny a line with my ballpoint pen completely fills a pathway...
...Magus, may I demand you complete this yourself to prove it possible?

THere's no start or end in this maze...

That's cheating, kinda. Try to use an algorithm in programming to do it.

Wouldn't it just be easier to put this in paint or photoshop, draw a line through most of the walls so you can reach the end easily, and then just claim the gremlins did it.
I feel like I just spooned my eyes out looking at it @_@

Fuck a spoon. I used a Spork! Maybe if I'm super bored later I might print it up and try it.

I'd rather use the fill tool like this:
Fill the part "between" the entrances, and the correct solution will be along the path with one black wall, one red.
http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2855/maze2vc6.gif
Pseudocode for a contiguous fill is not too complex, especially with a 2-color GIF like this where all color matches are exact. Recursively ...
fill(x,y,newcolor) {
oldcolor=color(x,y);
color(x,y) = newcolor;
for (int i = 0; i<4;i++) {
if ( color(x+cos(pi/2*i),y+sin(pi/2*i)) == oldcolor ) {
fill(x+cos(pi/2*i),y+sin(pi/2*i),newcolor);
}
}
}
}

I rather meant an A* Algorithm.

Finding the shortest way to the end. (As is in this case the only way).

Suck.
It'd probably be easier to write a program that scans the maze for the path. :[
