View Full Version : [Aran] Dragon Thrust or Critical Magic?

So, I'm a level 62 Evan, stuck between these two choices. I'm coming back to Maplestory to get that Critical Ring.

I have level 11 Magic Booster (enough for a +3 boost). Maxed all prior skills, even Magic Guard, since I have the skillbook. Only...I'm not sure which one to pick to max next.

I'm definitely going to get the Critical Ring by leveling a level 50 Adventurer. So what would be more helpful? I have a Critical Magic skillbook, ready to be used, and it expires on July 16th. I could easily get another one then, but I'd prefer to get other stuff with that NX instead (it's annoying to surveys on Nexon's site). I'm 90% certain I could get an Adventurer to level 50 and level my Evan twice to use that skillbook up. However, would my Evan be a bit weak, maxing Critical Magic before Dragon Thrust, even with the Critical Ring?

Help please.

Like...how bad is it? It looks more powerful than Ice Breath.

You wouldn't use it for damage anyway, but thrust is pretty damn slow.

Thrust sucks ass, to slow, doesn't kb all of the time.

Besides, at the point where you have the choice to be raising thrust, you should be at Ice weak monsters. Critical, 11 Booster, and Slow should all come first. Especially since Ice Breath = Thrust on such monsters; and comes with freezing and better range/speed. Use your SP to increase Ice Breaths power.

Slow is really useless.

Slow is really useless.

Hardly. Works amazing at Kents, Wyverns, and eventually gallops and ToT, and is much better then Thrust, I haven't used thrust since 80, and that was to confirm if it worked on Bosses or not. Slow has saved my ass many times when my skills failed to Freeze/Stun a monster. It is useless when you 2hit/1hit everything though, along with Thrust. I find thrust to be quite useless as you'll be hitting anything you stand on anyways.
