View Full Version : Pie/Cake reward failure

Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!: I donated 201 cakes, waited for Pie to spawn in channel 5, killed it, changed to channel 6, it was killed the moment I spawned (it then announced that channel 2 remained the final fortress), I stayed for a while and didn't see the "Cake team has taken over the town " notice, but somehow noticed the 1:30 hour timer on top, so I assumed the battle was over.

I proceeded to claim my insignias, then this happened:

I even have the cakes that the Pie boss dropped.

This happened to me on Monday in Magatia. Ticked me off greatly, as I waited a little more than an hour and a half for that last 80% to be filled, and wasted 201 pie pieces in the process.

It appears that being counted as participating in the battle requires seeing that 'Pie/Cake team has taken over the town!' notice. The likelihood that Nexon will fix this by making the trigger to be counted as participating be something else is low, considering that triggering the glitch requires CCing during a very small timeframe.

The lesson that I learned from my experience? Don't CC when there are less than 5 seconds remaining, even if my party consists of the only Pies in town (of which we were all 2nd/3rd jobbers) desperately looking for a Cake Boss to kill in peace. Even with that 18x Night Lord on Cake along with the unholy mob stalking us all through every channel.

(Yes, the way the event was designed makes me more and more bitter with each passing day. But whatever.)

I assumed pretty much the same, and came to a similar solution. It is still a pretty stupid thing on their part.

And then you catch my original post during a mass edit spree to cover my arse. >_>

I guess they could make an additional trigger that accounts for everyone that is present at the start of the battle too. I don't see how anyone can screw this up by CCing at the beginning and the end.

Thank god I haven't had a problem with this lol. Only problem I've been having is D/Cing when I CC, client just "disconnected from login server".

Maybe things will be fixed during the next 12 hour SC! Or at least during the unscheduled one after it. :P

I have been able to be in town before the battle starts and stay in it until the time pasts 2:30 and then log out, go on another character so they can get insigs too, and then log back into the first character and get insigs on them too.

While we're at it, can I get a confirmation on whether or not the "participation" is counted when being in the battle town on a non-battle channel?

You have to be on one of the battle channels.

One of my friends have claimed that this has happened; although she changed channels as the battle ended, so that might have been it?

She too, says she did not see the notice saying the town was taken over.

Does that work for you everytime? I've done it a couple of times but sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I had my first character donate 201 pies in town before the battle started for the full 30 seconds of the countdown, then stayed logged on until 2:20 or even a little later then logged out and went on another character to get insignias and that was fine. But then when I logged back on I couldn't get insignias on the first character.

Yeah, I've had that problem too. Not sure what it is. I've also been able to log back in like 2 minutes after the battle and be able to collect insigs.
