View Full Version : Why do people want to max MP recovery?

I mean, you're better off just using a potion to regen MP instead of having to drain your HP and have a cooldown for it. But thats just my opinion >_>;
Also, how exactly does Oak Barrel work? can you still attack and move etc while you're Barrel'd?

MP recovery is passive.
Improving MP Recovery Master Level: 16
Type: Passive
Description: Recovering even more MP every 10 sec. The higher the level of the character and the skill level, the more recovery it enables the character to have.

MP recovery is passive.
He's talking about the Infighter's skill MP recovery, not the Magician's.
MP Recovery
Description: Consume 10% of your maximum HP. A percentage of the HP consumed is regenerated into MP
Max Level: 10
Level 01: Recover 55% of lost HP into MP / 70 seconds cooldown
Level 10: Recover 100% of lost HP into MP / 25 seconds cooldown

Except thats the Mage's passive skill. I'm talking about the Infighter skill, thus being the reason its in the Pirates section >_>;

Because usually MP potions are 2x as expensive as HP potions. Sorcerer elixirs are the exception that makes this skill useless in GMS >_>

Well, if you have a Heal sla-, I mean Cleric, this skill can cut your pot cost to nothing. Infighters having much HP, this skill would be very useful.
Technically, with Energy Drain and MP Recovery, you would never have to use a single pot ever again
But we all know that Drain-type skills arent always enough.
The way I see it, by the time you are 120+, you will probably already be using gingers. Then again, with Max MP Recovery, you could just use Honsters and carry more HP pots and little / no mp pots
On the other hand, Oak Barrel looks cool
Its all about the person's playing style I suppose

I'm maxing it because I enjoy saving money in anyway I can. My level 100 Chief Bandit already has 15 Chakra (this was before the patch that made it better).

I'm maxing it meso-wise, plus oak barrel seems kind of pointless to me, if you're getting it cause it looks cool, you're gonna end up putting one point into it anyway, unless you're planning on maxing SSkick or Dash.

Yes, but still, how does Oak Barrel work? is it basically Dark Sight with a chance to be hit, but you can still attack or something?
Because if it doesn't let you attack while using it, I probably won't get it.

I can go check for you, but I'm 80%(?) sure that it doesn't let you attack and "smart" (M.atk monsters?) monsters can tell if you're hidden. Pirate's version of Dark sight?
