Anybody remember this?
Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken

Yeah. I almost finished it. I got to the final 10 or whatever chapters, but couldn't finish it because I had to move to America. F*CK! Now am trying to find it again (but on the internet), so I can finish it! What about you guys? Anything? Doraemon, possibly?

That main character and his headband looks awfully familiar. I may have watched the anime as a kid, but I don't remember anything about it now.

I'm not sure if there was an anime version of it, but his name is Dai. I want to say that it's the same artist as from DBZ, but I could be wrong. Just searched, Akira Toriyama really did drew for both. Which is why Dai reminded me of Gohan a bit.

Yea, DQ art has always reminded me of DB. Did a bit of searching myself, it's called Dai no Daibouken and there is an anime. The anime logo looks familiar...a totally reliable way to id an anime, hurr. If only I'd kept my anime trading cards, then I'd be able to know for sure. Fortunately there is a group subbing it at a glacial pace. Gonna check it out when I have time.

Manga's not hard to find, just google it.

Manga wasn't hard at all, you're right. I went to a site the other day and finished the final 4 chapters, the 4 that I completely missed out on for the last 13 years of my life. :/ I finally got to finish the manga, I'm pretty happy. It's like 25x chapters or something, I forgot. But yeah, I recommend it. If the anime is the same as the manga, then I'm probably going to watch it too, haha. Man, this feels so nostalgic. I blame myself for even bringing up this topic. ;_;

The only two "old manga" that I've read, considering that by old- you must mean predating 1990, are Dragonball and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's first part- Phantom Blood (very recent read- picked it up today and finished it today).

I'm probably going to read more Jojo in the future; and I'll probably try out Black Jack and Phoenix.

I've been wanting to read JoJo for a while, but I haven't had the time. And the English volumes skipped the first two arcs, which annoys me.
