First, for higher levels: is bossing good exp, or just plain fun?

Second: are vikings projectiles still unable to hit your character at a certain distance? I was there for the first time a couple days ago, and I couldn't figure out the distance... I just kept getting hit no matter where I stood. Maybe it was a glitch, and has been changed?

Thanks in advance

Bossing at higher levels (15X+) is usually just for fun. It gives decent EXP, maybe a good 3% ~ 5%, but it's really nothing great. Pap gives 5% at 13x when soloed. Bossing in general is usually just for fun; nobody really bosses for EXP unless it's soloing Anego.

And yes, Viking projectiles are still dodgable for a certain distance. If you're referring to the very old viking glitch (Which I doubt you are), then that was removed many patches ago. However, I think some kind of new glitch was discovered where Vikings don't hit you if you're attacking them from the left. I don't think this is still around. But in general, viking projectiles are dodgeable and always will be.

Yup, bossing is mainly for the fun/drops at the higher levels. While yeah, most of the bigger ones remain 2%-5% or so.

As for the Ludi Clocktower monster projectiles, the original reason that you could dodge them was because the part of the projectile that would damage your character was different on either side, so say if you're standing the same distance/height away from a viking and it attacks, you may get hit on the right but not the left. They patched this quite some time ago, and from my experiences I'd say they don't seem to be avoidable in a way like they used to be.. then again, I freeze them now before killing them so it could be possible. xd

*If you stand a certain distance away on the left side sometimes they won't attack you though. Also, you can stand on the little things on the sides of the platforms (example: at death teddies) and the projectiles tend to go over your head. I don't think that still works on all the maps though.

Eh, bossing gives an illusion of exp, but, for bishops, training would be better.
(Only exp better than training would be Anego, Bigfoot & Horntail if you're a strong NL. Might have missed some bosses.) e.O

Tengu/Black Crow is good exp, too. If you have someone to lure the himes away :o

I know for even 18x people get good exp while bossing. During an 11 person Grandpa run my friend got 40m exp in around 25 minutes, which isn't bad. Bosses such as Tengu, Zak, and HT are all good exp if you deal enough damage.
