I'd like to be an officer (or leader if Mark doesn't wish to be) when I join if that's ok. I'll join regardless. I vote for Stat boost for the next skill, btw, since exp boost loses utility eventually, while stats never do.

I agree about the Exp thing, but we have a lot more members that are actively leveling right now. Exp Boost helps more than tiny stat boost. Plus, I heard Exp caps at level 3 and Stats cap at level 2, which means we can max them both anyway. Unless that isn't true.

If you scroll down to the Guild Skill section, it seems to suggest that EXP caps at 3, and stats at 2. At least that's all we're able to achieve right now with the guild cap at level 5. Since we get 4 GP by leveling up to level 5, it seems that we can only get one guild bonus maxed, if I'm not mistaken.

Are we going to do anything about the costs to level the guild up? It'd suck if someone has to pay the level up by him or herself each time.

Ah, I see. We could do two Exp and two Stats to start with? Either that or three Exp/one Stat. I tried to look up information on guilds, and a source I found says guilds eventually max at level 10 (unless that's already been updated?) and both skills max at level 5 (5% exp and +30 str, int, vit and spirit, respectively). Stats Boost is really nice at max.

I don't mind paying for the costs, if I have to. Mark paid for the guild, and I paid for level 2 and our first skill. It's not much money.

I'd like to join if there's room on my summoner (my current only active character). Also, I vote for 2 in xp/stats for now - better to max stats at the current cap since we don't know when the guild lvl cap will be raised and as Mas said, stats keeps its use.

Oh, one thing to note is that everyone is a Recruit when they first join the guild. The thing is, I don't think recruits get guild benefits. So before each guild level up, check to see that everyone's at least a jr. member so no free tokens are wasted.

Of course, you may not want to do this if you think people are just joining to get the free tokens, but I don't think that's ever the case here. Especially since guild hopping is pretty restricted.
It doesn't matter. I was a recruit inside of a dungeon when we leveled up. I got changed to a Jr. Member while still in the dungeon. When I got out, I still got the tokens. So, either recruits always get the tokens, or if you're in a dungeon, you're safe as long as you get your rank changed while inside the dungeon.

And I doubt anyone would join for the free tokens. The 3 day limit would make sure of that.

I think it may just be the Exp and Stat Boost skills that Recruits don't receive. But I've been trying to make sure everyone is a Jr+ after they join.

Okay, definitely gonna start working on Stats Boost now. Probably will only be able to get it to level 2 with our level 5 cap, though. We'll see.

We just achieved the exp necessary to be able to purchase level 3. But I'm thinking I'll wait to buy it until tomorrow afternoon? I'm pretty sure most of us that are 3 day blocked will be able to join then. Since I know now it gives all members free tokens when it levels up, it'd be better to wait to get more people tokens. No? I'm pretty sure we can still earn exp and the extra will carry over. Can anyone confirm?

I'm pretty sure that the guild bonus applies when you become a Junior; so if you join a guild that's maxed out the stats boost, you'd still get the boost even if you joined after they got the guild skill.

I can confirm it carries over. I bought a level up and right away we had ~70 exp for level 2.

And yeah I agree with waiting. More people for tokens = better use of money.

If there's still room after more active SPers/DFOers have been added, I'll join too. I tend to solo a lot and hop around on a lot of different characters so I don't want to take up space in the guild that someone else might use better. That being said, I'd say my two highest, and probably most regularly played characters, are: Devolut - Spitfire and Lution - Summoner. I'd say Devolut would probably be the better choice to add, since there's a rather large number of summoners already in the guild, but either one would be fine with me.

Wouldn't go up to the millionish region for the last upgrades? I'm just surprised I helped donate for ~60-75% of guild funding. I thought that 300k would be only a drop in the bucket.

Official release was: 2005/10/17
The 300 expansion happened on: 2007/7/5 ACT9 Gaiden

By technicality it took DnF ~2 years to get the guild expanion, but DnF's official release + open beta is insanely different, because there weren't Aphelia, Priests, Summoners, full dungeon mini-maps, Witches, various awakenings, and Ancient Dungeons yet. So I dunno when it'll be out in DFO, lol?

Well, then that begs the question about whether or not they will follow the same timeline. I wouldn't think they would release guilds, add 300 guild expansion in the next patch, and then add priest patch (sometime in the summer)...

Well the other night a couple guildies decided to help me out with Frozenheart and it ended up being one of each mage sub-class which was pretty cool. I ended up recording it (and then being lazy and not editing and forgetting I had my volume down low, woops :eek:) so everyone could check it out. I basically just sat there and watched as everyone else destroyed things but it was a good time.

God damn "Archmage" reminds me of MapleStory. Arch Mages in MapleStory use Ice, Lightning, Fire, or Poison. Archmages in DFO use Ice, Lightning, Fire, and Dark. And, Poison can commonly be considered a subclass of Dark (Poison sometimes = Purple, Purple = close to black)

I'd love to do a Vilmark speedrun, but my Sader is too damn slow to make it to the hiding spot in time. Anybody have any ideas on how to make him faster? Think just move speed shoes would be enough?

Canna's Slave if you're desperate enough. I haven't had the title yet, but maybe Luck of the Draw? Also consider shoes that give more mspd, even if you have to switch to heavy armor for that.

Even if I take my armor off, the amount of weight of my character slows me down. All that plate is so heavy that even if I have Canna's Slave I can't make it. I've tried. I'm going to attempt move speed shoes once I get NX.

Does weight seriously slow you down? I never noticed a difference in movement speed whenever I farmed Sky Tower on my Exo. Then there's my Berserker, who with heavy armor feels like he moves roughly as fast than my Exo and he doesn't have movement shoes.

It actually does slow you down.

Try taking off your weapon. I don't know how it is for priests, but for slayers, great swords make you run a lot slower than other weapons.

I currently have have a full plate set, which weighs 19.6 kg, 2 crosses at 3.1 kg each, and a scythe that weighs 2.8 kg. That comes out to around 30 kg of required weight, not to mention potions, cubes, and materials.

And yes Henry, weight affects speed. My Ranger slides a much shorter distance when he's extremely weighed down.

Priests are also naturally slower than every other class, and your Zerker moves as fast as your Exo because they're both wearing heavy armor, and your Exo has move speed.

Also since considering how many casters I have (Summoner, Nen Master, Soul Bender-to-be, Magic Exo-to-be, Mech-to-be) I think getting an Asura is overkill. Gotta balance with some more physical characters, especially with one at a troll tier like Rogues.

I'm having great amusement in finding equipment like the good old Diablo 2 days, and making bank on something not Time Temple related. Berserker = Sheer power at the cost of defenses, and at 35 a nigh unstoppable killing machine. Barely uses MP after 35; instead uses it's HP as MP for most of its abilities. Can heal himself as long as he keeps killing bleeding enemies.

Soul Bender = Dark themed support class. Cloth Mastery helps alleviate MP needs. More tactical than Berserker because Soul Benders are weak on their own, but with demon summons he's formidable.

Asura = Stand back and nuke; eats MP like water. Makes stuff die but has horrible MP regeneration.

Weapon Master = lol at PvE in comparison to other Slayer classes because they need highly upgraded (+11 or higher) weapons to really kick butt, but troll tier class in PvP like how Meta-Knight is like.

Yay video! I'm glad we got our theory confirmed.

And for clarification to those curious: It's not just Furnace's explosion that does this much damage to Bwanga. If he breaks Furnace with any of his other attacks, it will only do minor damage (like it should). However, if he jumps onto the Furnace to break it, it will trigger the massive damage burst. Either Bwanga has a major weakness to taking furnaces down with his feet, or it's a fun and interesting glitch for Fire Witches to enjoy.

Maybe he just takes more damage from that attack? Either that or furnance does a lot more when it's 1 hitted.

Did you just happen to sleeper it maybe?

Well we made it, Rockets. Guild level 10 is coming today for sure. We're less than 200 EXP away.

To the Admins: Please don't level the guild while I'm at work! I will level it when I get home or sometime this evening. I want to get screenshots and such, plus I'd like to see what the new patch holds first anyway. If anyone wants to contribute at all, feel free to mail me. It's absolutely not necessary though.

Besides our little celebration around Bucken for the level-up (which will probably be tonight-ish), I would like to have a larger-scale gathering for group screenshots at a later date. In the Tavern with Siusha, of course. I definitely hope to get all of our active core to show up, but it would be nice for even more Rockets to get together. Congratulations on getting to level 10 even though I know nothing about the importance of leveling a guild up. (Besides being the final guild level.)
