Rank seems not to be functioning

I started a character in Yellonde this morning, and am so far lvl 23. However, the ranks when I am about to log on show that I have not gained any ladder ranks. I am in my proper place in the ranks, and my world ranking has changed to reflect that. However, there's no "+ xxxxx" or anything like that.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Your character is considered as new, and will thus not get any rank increase/decrease the first 24 hrs.

Maybe it's because they only updated you once, so they don't recognize how many people you've surpassed yet.
