One of the things that SERIOUSLY pisses me off is how racism STILL exists today.
Firstly it can happen anywhere at anytime, people just don't seem to give a f*** that they called someone the 'n' word towards african americans, calling certain europeans wogs or FoBs to mostly asians (no offense or anything).
Secondly whenever you try to ignore them, they still go on about it. Even if you respond in a voilent manner, they still continue.
Lastly, it could be ANYONE, anyone who you'd least expect it to be.
I am asian myself with a heavy pride towards my country and I simply could not, I repeat COULD NOT stand racism being spat in front of my eyes and in most cases, I can be very violent towards the offender if their insult is strong enough. I'm sick and tired of racism everywhere and I f***ing hate shit like this being thrown out of the blue.
To you Admins and Mods, sorry if the rant is a bit offensive.

A substitute teacher was being racist to asians during class and Jezza happened to be one of the few who was literally yelled at for answering back. This asshole was being way too judgemental on grammar problems even to one of the best english student who happens to be chinese. So it's pretty clear he's racist (not giving out names here).
And personally I never thought this would be discussed in a thread here...

Sh*t!. That explains why he is upset... I'd slap that bastard in the face if I saw him. Aside from that, can't you sue him for being racit towards students?

in israel if a teacher is being racist towards some students they f*cking bury him.
and that will happen to a regular teacher, subsitutes gets it worse.
btw, racism is o.k for me as long as it's done in good taste and as a joke.
oh, and not towards me. :D

It's not ok in any way. Not even in a joke. You might say it like a joke, but the person you're saying it to might feel hurt/bad even though they don't show their feelings and just laugh.

african americans? First, that's the worst term you could possibly call them. Why? Because not all black people are or were from africa, and not all of them live in the USA.
Besides all that, I'd like to put in my counterpoint against black people. Yes, I said it.
Have you seen what a good majority of black people do? Have you seen how they've pretty much taken over sports, invented their own everything (including names) and generally have a bad attitude, including but not limited to pulling the race card as often as possible? With all the crap people have to put up, I'd say that's going to do a lot more damage to the possibility of equality than anything else.
They try so hard to be different it's pathetic, and actual decent people are suffering for it because they'll just end up grouped with them regardless of what they really do. Having a black character in MS, I've already heard most of what I could about "what black people do", whether or not I'm black in real life meaning nothing because MS is full of retarded people who prefer to judge you by pixels.
If black people want some change, they should do something about the people who enforce the stereotypes so strongly. They're there because they're true.

Still calling them black people just doesn't sound rite... it sounds racist to me.

Actually, that's the proper term to call people of that race. There are going to be people offended by any term you use (black, african-american, negro, colored, etc) depending on which person you talk to. I, myself, am half african-american, and would prefer not to be the subject of any other term (though I use "half black" myself).

I don't believe those terms are racist. It isn't the term that is racist, it's only racist in a certain context. I know this, because I'm mixed (mother's white, father's black.) and I've been called those things many times, it's up to the person to take it either seriously or shrug it off.
What I also noticed is, that this problem mainly resides in America, I haven't seen anyone pull the race card in my whole life of living in Europe.

I hate racism. I can't stand it. I live in the suburbs of Detroit. There is a HUGE African-American population, Hispanic and Arab-American. If you walk in the downtown of some of the cities with a more prominent population of any of these races, they are all being racist to each other. Calling each other spics and using the N word. It's disgusting. You don't see me calling some white person a cracker or a honky.
I think the schools aren't really doing anything about it to try to help control it. When I was in high school, I came to school one morning with the school surrounded by police. Some kids spray painted Swastikas all over my school, spray painted the N word and other racist words. No one really did anything. They just cleaned it up and moved on. Never really did anything to help the kids that were upset or do anything to teach us more about racism. It was hard for me since I am Jewish. I get called all sorts of names. I kinda just ignore it. It's all I can really do. Not like I am going to kick someones ass for making a stupid ignorant comment to me.

African American is the politically correct term to call us. I just say black b/c I'm not from Africa and the Africans that ARE in the USA don't like the term used for the ones that are here.
Ok and you're pissed off b/c black people 'took over' sports? SOO..we're GOOD at sports.. point is?? & we're trying to make a difference on how society perceives us; we so call "use the race card all the time"..yeah, right give me a pineappleing break. The ones that use the race card "all the time" are the ignorant ones, that can't think of any other excuse to their situation. But if someone is being OBVIOUSLY racist toward me or someone, i'm going to say & do something about it. We can't do jack shit about the people that have made the stereotypes.. u wanna know why?...b/c the people who made them are pineappleing idiots. Example: Black people are dirty, have bad credit, un-intelligent,LOVES fried chicken, they're ghetto or live in one..the list goes on and on and ONN. STEREOTYPES aren't true! Get it through your head..
Edit:
Racism will never go away, wish it would but it won't.
Edit 2: People are going to talk about you till the day you die, the best revenge you can do is prove them wrong.

Great job missing the point there.
Oh boy...if I voiced my opinion on this subject I'd be roasted to a crisp in a matter of minutes.
Let's just say...racism can be funny if used correctly. If you're offended by it in a manner of joking, you should probably lighten the hell up.

Since when can racism be used in a "funny manner"?
You don't watch much stand up comedy, do you? :[

I believe the proper scientific word that my bio teacher told me is negroid.
On the other hand your situation is better than having a black teacher picking on me (a white male in a school of people with dark skin). One time I been acused of racism just cause I am white and just because I dont like to share my money with others.

I think the taboos of society on words are really one of the problems.
I know the connotations are offensive. But really by FORBIDDING one set of racial slurs and not another we are stepping AWAY from Equality.
Which Is what I believe racism is against.
Alot of people say they want Racism to go away- It can't-As unfortunate as it is it can not.
BUT- demanding treatment differently cause your race "has it worse" is totally against equality.
Example- There is an "N"-word
Not a "C" word (for asians)
Or the "K" word (for Jews)
or the "H" word (for whites)
or the "S" word (for Hispanics)
etc. etc.
....
What bothers me JUST AS MUCH AS racism is reverse racism.
