Its almost as if someone working at the company gets some obscene pleasure out of making players suffer. Stupit time warp, stupit slimes, stupit..

sketchbook quest is the one that bothered me the most (first quest that I decided to just abandon). At least the hyper glyphs were for an epic chair (we had like, 3-4 chairs in the game back then and the rest were small), other quests could mostly be solved with money if it's a matter of some ultra rare etc drop, and were really not needed for anything. Instead of something one can skip, or rewarding you well for the trouble, this quest prevents you from seeing the cool things in neo city.

It's probably the longest, most tedious, annoying quest to organize. At least I enjoyed the actual HTPQ, pretty place.

I ended up 2x dropping for the sketchbook papers.

That being said, I know what you're talking about. Cursed dolls drop all the time, so its a matter of time. Here, with the drop so rare, its a matter of time as well, but it can range from minutes to hours.

Surprisingly, I've had good luck with many of those quest items. My sister and I combined, we've found 3 honeys, 8-9 deeds, and 2-3 cursed scrolls (+ a few from hector exchanges), all casually killing while passing through or killing at various places for fun. Then again, I've also found steelies from half an hour at macis, 2 from YnP while waiting for zakum, 2 from visiting WK/FP friends at duals, and 2 ilibis doing the daily viking quest, lol.

Quests that I dislike are the ones that take hours, and have no decent rewards. Ex. Drum bunnies.

200 Balrog kills is without a doubt the worst... so far the worst I have ever faced is the Genesis one ... took the party 3 hours to finally finish it. && and the silver mane (mount quest) 50m =.=;;;;;

Marikawa's purse is pretty damn annoying too. One thing I hate about this is that when trying to find just this one item, there's very little "progress" I feel because with every kill, it's that you get it or you don't get it; with all of my efforts going into the later- and it feels like this quest just seems to drag on forever. At least with other quests with nasty drop rates like Elpam Magnets, Hyper Glyphs, and other stuff of the like it feels like I'm getting some progress as I go along. When I hunt those, I can think to myself; "Ah, I have 'X' amount, I can call it a break when I hit 'Y' amount," or "Ah, I have 'X' amount, I've got to push on a little further and I'll have beat this quest!" This quest is something with a droprate I'm never really certain about of how long it'd take me to find just this one thing, and it just gets incredibly frustrating.

The hyper glyphs quest was terrible when it was first available. The drop rate is lower than it is now, plus everybody was after that blue chair making things worse.

The quest now isn't too bad. That sketchbook quest didn't even take me that long... and obviously there are worse quests out there :P

The key to the sketchbook quest seems to be finding the right channel. If you're in a channel where they drop, it's not much worse than the hyperglyphs quest. If you're in a channel where they don't...
So, if none drops after 10-15 minutes, cc.

The amoria one is pretty bad as well, LOADS of semi-rare items (1-2 hours of hunting for each) in different continents and awful rewards (only did it because of quest specialist).

Kargos dropped them, too. I went to Drake's meal table (and had someone kill the red drakes to keep the spawn going). Finished in an hour or so with 2x drop rep. Finding the book was a pain in the neck though, especially when CWKPQ was glitched and there were no archer books in the market >.>

Hyper Glyphs as a 5x I/L...they're immune to ice, so all you have is Magic Claw...
Blizzard quest was pretty annoying too.

Nependeath Honey for me no doubt. Took me two weeks hunting there about 4 hours a day when I was in my 5X well before 2x drop came out. Oddly, I didn't have trouble with Marikawa's Purse at all. Not sure if it was luck, but I got it by taunting male boss. I couldn't take a hit from him, but when he jumps AE could hit him. He keeps summoning stuff down there that also jumps, so I just kept spamming it trying not to kill the male boss himself. As for hyper glyphs, I was well overleveled when NLC came out, so I didn't really have issues with it.

As for those pages, I'd say it took maybe 4 hours on 1x drop. Not too terrible.

There were a couple more that would have been somewhat difficult for me if I didn't have the aid of friends. In particular, killing the bosses for 4th job advancement with under 3.3k hp (20 deaths in attempts); and the Snipe quest (friend ended up giving me a book he found) which I had attempted hunting sharks for for an innumerable amount of hours.

Well, worst is subjective. I wouldn't really call the 200 balrogs thing worst because it doesn't lead to other quests like hyperglyphs and sketchbook pages, at least I don't think it does, so you're not really forced to do it to access other useful quests. I'm up to about 35 balrogs so far on that quest x]

Basically, any quest where you lose fame or mesos (like that scammer in Showa, you know who I mean) are on the top of my list way more than any super hard drop that gives you a kick ass item in the end.

after getting married, my wife and i started that one but the spawn and drop rate are just so bad that we got maybe 3 fragments before getting annoyed at wasting time. those have since been dropped.

The quest that says to kill Horntail. What the quest does not say is that there will be cave holders, d/c hackers, Windows Vista/7 issues, Nexon's inability to solve fix things, other groups/guilds running and will crash you, and whatever that prevents you from killing Horntail, right. Not to mention that unless you have connexions, it is impossible to complete this quest because nobody will take you.

I completed the hyperglyphs on x1 drop in like 40-60 minutes, I don't remember. The drop rate was increased.
Did the sketchbook quest in like 30 minutes with a partner who completed it in 35 minutes with me. The drop rate was increase BY A pomegranateLOAD

I'd say the hardest quest is no doubt the lunar dew garbage. Makes pre-BB sketchbook paper quest look like a joke in comparison.
