View Full Version : An idea for 3 shadower "buffs".

I want opinions on these, from Shadowers and NLs. Otherwise I wouldn't be posting them.
1. All attacks ignore DEF like Assaulter.
2. All 6 hits of BoT can activate Venom.
3. Assaulter is buffed to 800% to make up for #1.
I feel these would make it so CBs can keep up with the rest of the classes in 3rd, and Shadowers would be slightly more wanted in bosses.

This would buff up shadowers in general but I don't see how this would make shadowers more wanted at bosses since shadowers hardly use assaulter at bosses and they don't BoT at bosses. Most shadowers are already welcomed at HT as seduce mules and for their smokescreen and probably for pink bean too.

1. Yeah that would be a nice re-fresh for all our skills, and it would only take a sec for programmers... GOOD IDEA!!!
2. I still consider this a MAJOR bug, because it's just totally RETARDED it doesn't work... Maybe Nexon will ever fix this bug... who knows... :o
3. Either that -OR- make assaulter the same speed as Savage Blow... I perfer the speedup, since it would chain better with bstep... Also a range increase from 150 to 200 would be a nice change... :)
But as far as I can see, Nexon is done with developing / fixing / balancing skills for Maplestory... even with all the bugs in them... a bit sad though... :(

butterfli is right. Only #1 would be helpful in bossing.
Personally, SB buffed to 100~120% per hit would work fine. As well as increased speed on it. (More attacks per minute. I think SB is currently like 76 attacks per minute. I'd like 85~90)
Mondays. This is for Shadowers/CBs really.
Also, Im kinda fine with it for HT. Really, we get rewarded to sit on our ass and take hits. We can do that by around early 14x with Maxed Fake and 1 Smokescreen and 4k hp.

I think he said that he got the ideas from shadowers and NLs, but his ideas apply only to shadowers.

How about making giving smokescreen a smaller range and making it only lvl up to lvl 10. Then making a 4th job skill that increases all bandit attacks by 2% per SP, max lvl 20.
490% assaulter
120% SB
540% Bstep
sounds good 2 me.
An even easier way to make bandits better at single targets is to give us the option to make assassinate's last hit teleport you. If you only teleport while you're pressing an arrow key, that would allow us to stand in one place and spam assassinate.

anything which increases our dmg per sec, on a single target is all i want. i'm a shadower who bosses alot, i anego, zakum, ht, pap and all, the dmg we do is'nt amazing enough to win exp ever really, unless you'r soloing pap. all we need is a no delay boomstep or a boost wepatk/dmg skill which atleast brings sb into 10ks per atk :3
increasing assaulter isnt even needed, i already hit 33k ~ dmg with it @ 176 and i havnt even used it in a long time.
BoT isnt used @ skelegon aswell so making that activiate venom isnt needed.
I like 1 and 3. Number 2 doesn't really affect me, but I suppose it's good for Shadowers who use BoT in training (Himes. Do you just ME on gobies or do higher leveled Cbs use BoT?)

i havnt casted BoT in like 20 lvls <_< only when im at like .. noob mobs, never to train

Yeeeeeeeee...i like rustys idea!~ max smokescreen should def be lv10. and yeah...a buff that adds 2% dmg to all skills per sp would be hot. Perhaps assassinate could be optionally used in dark sight for a charge time bonus, but able to be used without dark sight, that would be hot.
Also...prolly either an advanced dagger mastery would be nice...to replace ninja ambush
-_- zzzz@ninja ambush...prolly would make the min dmg buff up to 80%-85% and also add 1 atk per every other sp or so.
And like...#1 from the thread starters post would def be a good addition...as well as BoT being *fixed* to activate with venom...

Ok, I got the solution! :)
Shadow Mastery:
- All wdef is ignored with every skill (unlocked @ lvl 1~10 of the skill)
- Allows you to use pots in Dark Sight (unlocked @ lvl 11~20 of the skill)
- Allows you to recast all buffs in Dark Sight (unlocked @ lvl 21~30 of the skill)
- All skills have double MP usage at max lvl
- Boost all skills percentage wise by 150% at max lvl:
Sblow - 480% > 720%
Assaulter - 450% > 675%
BoT - 210% > 315%
Bstep - 1000% > 1500%
Assassinate - 2650% > 3975%
Shadow Mastery replaces Ninja Ambush completely...
So... Nexon, what are you waiting for? :)

It would still be useless for himes since himes are immune to poison.

I wouldn't mind if sb had crits. Maybe a 80% chance of hitting a crit per hit. Add in some se and we might get a bit more exp at bosses.

80% crit + max SE = 95% chance to crit oO...... so we'd almost be doing crits 100% of the time.
I think the best way to make shadowers more useful at bosses would be just to revise assassinate. Make the initial uncharged hits stronger, bring down the intervals in between charges but lower how much each charge gives, and make the last hit teleportation optional.

like '-._ / that lame diagram is like what the path would be or more like
or
0 = monster ---- 0 ---\_/-- so like pwn the monster go thru it drop to the ground bounce and the be in the air again about the height of a standard full hasted jump.
I think what i said would be better because tele is odd.
A flash jump is hermity.
A drop-bounce seems kinda more bandity.

I dont get that diagram at all Oo, and how would a change in animation make bandits stronger at bosses? It seems like it would be an even longer animation than assassinate normally is.

i dont get how you cant picture some one dropping to the floor and like jump/bouncing up/forward.
Itd be done at an insane speed but teleing is ya know.

They should've given shadowers a Shadow Partner skill in 4th job. That would've definitely made them one of the best 4th jobs, and considered as attackers alot more.

haha, i think they just gotta make BoT hit all monsters with all 5 "other"s then have bstep stronger against closer monsters(makes sense rite?)
