All times bumped up 3 hours (times shown in this post are correct, they were originally 3 hours later) after a bit of consideration.
Saturday-Sunday 6-7 March, all day both days
Southperrians that are active in DFO, this weekend I say we all get together and have a blast! Teach each other about your respective classes, learn from each other in both dungeons and arenas, and in general have a good time enjoying the social aspects of the game! Hop on Southperry's vent, we'll use Greg's room if it still exists as our meeting grounds!
I'll be hosting and participating on my Soul Bender MenosPan!
Events:
Saturday:
Noon-4pm PST - Dungeon Farming/Quest Help Extravaganza!
4-whenever PST - PvP til ya drop!
Sunday:
Noon-4pm PST - 2-man squad Dungeon Races! Prizes for the fastest times in the following dungeons:
1. Shadow Thunderland (18 or lower only)
2. Odessa Streets
3. Floating Castle (29 or lower only)
4. Shadow Labyrinth
5. 1st Spine (39 or lower only)
You must complete the ENTIRE dungeon, using a maximum of 1 token per player, and MUST record it (in-game recorder is fine, X-fire recorder is recommended, FRAPS is ok too). The fastest duo in each dungeon will be awarded 250k each! Please do your best to have a partner selected BEFORE the event, it will help limit last minute scrambling. I claim Lachrymose as my partner.
4pm-whenever - REVENGE! Someone beat you in Saturday's PvP session? Well now's your chance to demonstrate what you learned and then teach them a thing or two!
I'll record as many matches as I can in the PvP events, the "best" match of each day will see the winner getting 350k, and the loser 150k! This will be judged on the following factors:
1. How close the match was
2. Originality of technique
3. "Cool" moments
4. Humor
To be a judge for the "Best Match" competition, you simply have to be present for the majority of the PvP matches (at least 2 hours, if it lasts that long) that day. Any match you feel to be a possible winner, simply say something along the lines of "Zombie killMatch of the day?" All judging will take place on Monday evening in IRC. I will create a room specifically for this and PM you the information once you're in Southperry's IRC. Gamesurge IRC supports youtube embedding, so we'll be able to review matches directly from IRC.
I hope to see a large turnout from everyone, I expect this to be a great event!
