Joko's Ninja Exchange rewards!

As I have mentioned a few times before, the quests in Crimsonwood are rather unique in that they usually don't reward you directly with items or experience or mesos (the exception being Lita), but instead they give you new "privileges". For completing Jack's quests, you can get the map of the forest, which lets you use special warps. John Barricade has a quest to get an item to skip through the Jump Quest (and areas beyond) with relative ease.

One of these new privileges is the ability to use Joko, a Raven Ninja, as an Exchange quest NPC. It can be done once a day, and requires 50 badges to turn in (Or, alternatively, 25 of all 4 kinds for a total of 100). To get this, you must have completed "The Fallen Woods" quest (where you must get 50 Phantom Seeds) and the subsequent quest to show Taggrin the Map of the Phantom Forest.

We're going to compile a list of possible rewards for the badge exchange. I had 45 or so windraider badges by the time I finished all the quests, so I hunted up 5 more and turned them in. Here are the results!

So, here's the deal, you MUST provide a screenshot, preferably one like so where we can see both reward and exchanged items.

I currently hypothesize that the badge types you exchange will give you items related to the species of monster you wiped out. For example, since Windraiders are corrupted forms of windreavers, and windreavers used claws and bows, I got an item related to those disciplines. Naturally we'll have to see more results before this can be confirmed.

Also, as you may notice looking at my inventory, I had to make room in my SetUp before it would let me do the exchange. Does this mean we can get setup items? Who knows, but there aren't any new special ones that we don't already know how to get.

it was 60% Claw. And as I said at the end of the post, you need 1 free slot in ALL inventories, which meant I had to drop a setup item as I was full at the time.

Dark Scrolls do drop from some monsters in this area, so it's possible that they might be available from this too. We'll have to see.

Well, by the time I had finished the quest, I had about 55 Windraiders and 6 Stormbreakers. I swear, the Stormbreakers don't drop ANYTHING. I plan on handing in 50 Nighshadows as soon as possible.

Yeah, Firebrand->Mage (F/P), Nightshadow->Thief (Bandit), Stormbreaker->Warrior (DK/WK), Windraider -> Bowman (Xbow).

I'm going to go meteoing stormbreakers in the most populated map there is tomorrow and the next day. If your theory is right, i'll do it until i get a raven sword. I'll post my results here when i exchange them.

I'm betting 5m that issac is right yet again, since i had the same theory when i heard his exchange gave raven weapons.

Also, it not be glitched. They might have done this on purpose to get more raven weapons out there.

Elder ashes are for Taggrin's final quest, the other two are TCG-related items for T-1337.

You can create them entirely from drops from Electrophants and I.AM.ROBOTs. He has all the screen shot proof, but I don't know where he went <.<

I'm a little discourages by nexon giving so much mesos out willy nilly...have they not learned their lesson with the meso bag deflation? I mean sure this can't be done in bulk but there's like 3+ quests that give out mesos and will be done by everyone and their mother who wants that pendant.

I think Leprauchauns are going to have a much bigger impact then the quests/exchange. Not to mention you have to get 30 Lucky Charms from them to boot.

Their meso rate owns sakuras, and I heard they drop steelies. I'm tempted to go on a meso farming run JUST to get a zHelm for my semi-retired Crusader.

I agree, though you have to consider that Sakuras and LMPQ have already been pumping large amounts of mesos into the market for some time now. This just boosts it further.

The rare drops might help curb inflation a slight bit, though.

No, because exchange quest rewards are server sided, and since they don't know what the rewards are supposed to be, they would either make them up or just not have such a thing at all.

It took me literally 15 hours to get 50 NightShadow badges. So 7.5 hours for half that. Badges are rare enough.

To me, that says that you can only get them if they're complete already, because they don't know how to make more. They only know how to use the ones that already exist.

To me, that says you can't get Taos from the Raven exchange quest, because they don't know how to make them. You have to get them from another source. My own opinion is that Ridley may be a source of them with the Ridley Stone "gach". This would tie all of the Crimson forged weapons and the Balanced Fury star to iTCG, even if they can be forged by Raven Ninjas.

It's also quite possible as others have mentioned that Taos will be more prevalent with another expansion of CWK with the Alchemist and Versalian Grandmasters. But I still think Nexon would want to tie the new items to sales of iTCG set 4, so I think my first theory is better. ^^

Nightshadows are the evil opposites of ShadowKnights. If any mob was gonna drop it, It's them. Also they're not just a common mob, they're the second highest level of not boss (I still maintain that regardless of boss flag, Bigfoot should be considered as such) after the guardians.

I suggest you read quests more carefully, if you even do any. :P

Nightshadows are basically 'clones' of Shadowknights, which appeared after the 4 Versalian Grandmasters took over Crimsonwood Keep it seems.

So yeah, they're not the same of course, but there are no Shadowknights we can kill, only their 'clones'. And there's a Tao in FM, so it has to come from something we have right now. >_> Anyone already found out where it came from (the one in the screenshot)?

i traded in 50 wind bandges and i got the raven dana, didnt SS it tho >_> but i could show the dana itself as proof if need be. My guess is that all of the exchanges have the chance of giving the dana, except the 25 of each, which seems to just give 3.5 mil.

John (it is John right? D:), just curious but did you ask him where he got it from? I know its easy to guess that Nightshadows drop them and whatnot but I'd say its best to ask him just in case. For all we know, it could be a rare item given through the exchange process or something else. No one has come up with proof that Nightshadows drop them and till it shows up, its still debateable.

Perhaps they do drop them and Im wrong, but it'd be nice to confirm it so that in the event it doesnt drop it, we wont have people wasting countless hours killing them for a drop they dont even drop.

Him saying getting the stars were a "fair challenge" while it took over a week for ONE of the three taos to appear from ALL the servers is too much of a "fair challenge". Not to mention that you still need 100 BC crystals and the other two taos. I swear, the keep better have "halls" dedicated to having since guild monsters spawn or else raven weapons, badges, taos, etc will be IMPOSSIBLE to get into the market en masse. Then i wouldn't mind training at stormbreakers for my sexy raven's wing. Windraiders destroy any map they're on as a training spot, and hunting for stormbreaker badges is hard enough. It took me 4 hours to find 5 badges with METEO, and i needed 10 for the quest. Extreme TO THE MAX.

The only reason i would ever consider buying one at that price is if i had all of my other equipment as powerful as they could get, because i would definitely be able to squeeze out 1 att otherwise by upgrading SOMETHING.

sure you may get the most expensive piece of weaponry with all 3, but what about those who want a weapon for their class? they can't even THINK of upgrading that shiny new weapon they got without looking for countless hours of their playtime...

I think they should be dropable from the monsters (probably are but rare as everything else) OR make the badges more accesible (and thusly increasing the chances of getting one. How the heck do people even get 50 of these things? I went to night and wind thinges and i got 2 badges the whole hour i was there... The fricken badge quest for the storm breakers took me 2 DAYS)

Yeah, badges are way too rare, and the reward percentages really suck. I farmed up 150 windraider badges, 50 nightshadow badges, and 50 stormbreaker badges in hours and hours of meteoring cavern of valor, and all I got to show for it was a silver crow and mesos >_>

I'll probably farm stormbreakers in the cave with jack in it on friday, hopefully I can find something not as crappy.

You need to deliver Jack's letter to John, then go back to Jack and use the "ETC" option to tell him what John wants to say in reply.

The quests might be a little confusing because you have to use their "ETC" scripts a lot (which is related to the way they changed the quest data) and some of them (Like John's) are deceptively named.

My friend just recently got 750k from 50 Windraider badges, as many have.

I'm inferring from items and such that;
Stormbreakers are tainted forms of Stormcasters, yet Lukan claims to be a Stormbreaker.(?)
And Windraiders are the like of Windreavers.

That's what my 4 hours of 2x drop spamming Genesis netted me.

I was hunting at that cave right before the keep full of nightshadows, Windraiders, and Storm Breakers. I managed to get 48 Storm badges, but I was too tired to keep hunting since my 2x had ended. The equips at top pass the onyxblade all dropped from 1 of those three monsters, I wasn't really paying attention to what dropped what. I also started at 30k mesos and at 33%.

Well, the windraiders' and firebrands' badges are more easily obtainable, which is why we've found the crossbow and taos. Since the sword and claw most likely come from stormbreakers and nightshadows respectively, they haven't shown up because those are the two hardest of the four to collect badges from.

Another problem is whether or not something special comes out of the 25 of each exchange. If it only gives 3.5mil, that's pretty lame o_o

2 to 3 main factors, 1 for most people, is 2x drop, another is AM/Bishop map killing skills, second is just plain fast killing on them. I barely got to turn in my second batch of 50 of windraiders and only got 750k X_X at least i got my raven dana my first try :glitter:

Yes, you have to do Lost and ReVersal, and then talk to Jack for a PH map. After that, simply talk to Taggrin twice and you'll be able to use Joko.

You HAVE to do the other two NLC quests to unlock Joko..The Subani's Legacy(all 3 parts)...... actually here is the strategy wiki link that I use:

My guess is the ETC slipped into the data for some random reason. Then when they were putting the exchange rewards together, they used the wrong ID for the Heartstopper and bam, you got the untradeable ETC ones. :/ Sucks a lot.

I just did a tradein with full etc. inventory, meaning it cant give me heartstoppers even if it wanted to. Makes me wonder though, if you had max mesos, it would mean he cant give you 1.75 mill, meaning you'd get something else, right?

They were an awesome potion. I used one for my 3rd job advancement fight just to kill it in about...3-4 hits. XD

Im suggesting that, yes. However, I have no proof atm. Isaac mentioned he couldnt trade it in with a full setup so... I really dont know. However, Im positive my etc. inventory was full, yet I was still able to trade anyways. Theoretically, I dont think Nexon would think "what happens if the given user has maxed mesos and cant get more", so perhaps if you had maxed mesos in your inventory, you could be guaranteed not to get mesos (which is the main prize. Its nice, but not when you're trying to get a raven weapon or a tao). Just throwing that out there. I dont have maxed mesos so I cant test it but maybe someone can. Then again, this might be considered "glitch abuse" as well so... meh >_>

I traded in 50 firebrands... and I had 54 of em so no slot opened up. Even so, in previous quests, if I traded something in that did empty up a slot, it'd still say inventory full until I had an extra slot free.

Iono if anyone has tried it before, but in previous quests that gave mesos, if you had max mesos, what would happen? Would it say your meso inventory is full or produce some kind of error? xD
