What's new and does anyone still play this?

Stopped caring just before halloween (I did a bit of the halloween stuff but it took too much time to collect candies and was discouraged after I didn't finish the event because they stopped it THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN instead of letting it go on for another week or two)

What's new and does anyone still play it at all? And if so why since you can't advance any further unless they've raised the cap?

The cap was raised to 50 a couple weeks ago and there's quite a few new dungeons. The level 45 and 50 skills for most classes are awesome so I don't really mind the cap being raised by only 10 levels instead of the level 60 cap that most people were anticipating. Aside from that, they've added in advanced avatars which are basically the same as regular avatars except they give a boost when you wear a five or more pieces. A few days ago they added in megaphones for all of the Maple Story rejects, but it isn't nearly as bad as you would think.

That and low level dungeons have been made easier. The exp needed to level for higher leveled players was reduced. New tutorials were also added for new characters.

What level 50 skills? I thought the highest were level 45.

Yeah, you're right. I was probably thinking of Awakenings and we don't have those yet either.
