NxProse all my Bowman friends are upset that they got the Arrows from the Lita Lawless quest rather than a weapon or hat or something permanent.
They'll have cause to rejoice a bit later.

Of course, he could just mean the Winkel... But if that were true... That's lame.

Well if the rejoicing were the Winkel I'd have to say that Crossbowmen are being shit on once again, but I highly doubt that is the case. Hopefully some kind of quest will yield a nice item for archers in the future.

The rewards for other classes were not that amazing either(except nocturnal staff for lukless mage, but w/e), so your not missing much.
Also, he mentioned back stories, like those you get when you use iTCG items in the game, I would think that's what hes talking about.

Yeah the rewards weren't all that amazing, but at least they were permanent, but honestly iTCG is our gratification for a crappy prize? So we have to pay, rather than get something decent from a quest and still get mostly useless iTCG items?

Hey,I didn't decide what happened. Its not like you can't buy one from someone who did buy iTCG, although I agree that you should have gotten something permanent. The arrows were just one of the new things, and maybe Nexon thought that they benefit more from the arrows, I guess not.
It seriously was not a decent prize though, I don't know the monetary value of 1000 of those arrows vs. other prizes, but I don't think its too different. The arrows are expensive because they are rare, and almost no one uses the weapons from that quest.

Er magician classes used the staff at the time pretty consistently. It was a great asset to anyone that was lukless. The arrows being rare hardly constitute it as a prize, considering we train with soul arrow any way. The arrows were just useless, plain and simple. Warriors got shafted just as hard though; a sword you can buy in stores.

I can't argue that the staff wasn't a huge gift to lukless mages. Ultimately though, I wish that it had never been made, because I dislike the whole idea of being lukless. Besides, no regular luk mages use it, and most lukless mages use the maple weapons, especially the new level 64 one, today anyway.
But maybe this is not what Nexon was talking about, maybe bowmen will still get some sort of weapon from a quest that benifits them as much as the staff benifited lukless mages at the time.

As for ITCG bows, they had some potential. The Andromeda bow was good before it got nerfed and now its not worth it for the rarity in terms of practical use. The winkel is just for looks (and has crap attack and whatnot) and is quickly replaced by Kandivas at 64. The 3rd series one (whatever the hell its called) is just too hard to obtain to make it practical.
I would say the only "useful" bow is the 3rd series one, as it requires I think 70 str and has the attack of an arund but then again, the requirements for forging is just outrageous (level 30 pet, a load of hard to find jungle lilies, etc) that I havent seen one around after all this time. If you could get say 5-6 30's to work on it, then yeah, it'd be great. However, you dont have that luxury to mass scroll them like you would with arunds and meti (which is what people usually do to get 5-6 30's on a bow. I mean, how many people do you know with 115/5 arunds on first try?).
As for the new maesteria update, we really dont know what's coming with it yet (hell, tespia for it hasnt been released yet) so we cant really comment on it yet. Time will tell though, so just be patient.
We can rejoice later on? I think he's refering to sharp eyes and our "gain in popularity" because of it, rofl.

its 70 str to wear, fast speed (possibly faster than kandiv) and it has the same att as an average metus.
also a funny note from the interview:
So, your question of the day: How do you feel about Jump Quests?

i think he just meant the winkle and the itcg3 weapon... not much more than that.

Well prose' Q&A thread is opening tomorrow, so i guess we can spam him with questions?
Yeah, and i think that it was not completely fair for archers to get only iTcg related items. what about the people who don't want to buy the cards OR have the maple funds to buy the items? :f3:

I always assumed this was talking about TCG items, yeah. Most of the archer TCG items are really nice (Andromeda Bow, Bosshunter gear, The set 3 Akhamagna bow if we can ever get it.)
I mean, you gotta think that was said a year ago, by all odds it's out by now.

IDK, really i dont think that it was the iTCG archer equips that he was talking about, because the other equips mentioned to him were not from iTCG, so it would make sense for i to be a new equip all together. I do know that there is a bow that has no image but is listed in the MTS wanted search system, which leads me to believe that they already had the new equips planned out for the later releases, or the same thing, but with the iTCG. But it doesnt make too much sense for iTCG because the names have been in the system for a long time.

=] Sounds exciting, can't wait to see it.
I can't believe you people are mad about that NLC quest. Warriors got a one handed sword (Which are completely useless really except for the rare funded crusader-to-be types), and thieves got a recolored pilfer which still required heaps of dex making it not useful at all either. Only ones that got something worth mentioning out of it were mages, but we all know nexon loves those already.
I'd say you "got shafted" if everyone got 35atk, 10slot gloves while you got some gloves with 5dex on them.

Some people could care less about the stats on the item and prefer just owning a weapon that says "Hey, I did this quest." What we got was a consumable and even a frugal archer would have accidentally used up all 1,000 of the arrows that were actually useful to him by now. Not to mention Diamond Arrows drop from a few monsters in NLC (namely Fire Tusks) whereas the Thief and Mage rewards were available from that quest, and that quest only. Granted the warrior sword can be purchased from the NPC, but it still saved you 245k.

I plan to use my diamond arrows for Athena, just fthoi o_o
But I've used up all but like 300 of them from accidental SA-wastage. Even though I carry a stack of normal arrows most of the time.
