My Top 2 Favorite Bands: Flyleaf and Underoath
I'm into Rock/Hardcore as you may know from the bands I listed.
:p

I'm really into "Calm." and their Anti-Smiles album, pain to find on the internets though.
Otherwise, I pick my music by songs, not artist. I love maybe a song or two from a band, but hate the rest.
Bands I can think of that I enjoy songs from are;
Linkin Park
Disturbed
Papa Roach
Beetles <-(They own, bitches)
Calm.
Nightwish
Slipnot
Not sure on the others. :o
DarkGenzo

o.o I like heavier stuff. D:
I also don't really have a favorite BAND, theres way too many that I like. For example:
Wednesday 13 (Not very well known. Was the lead singer for the band the Murderdolls, which was a side project for Joey Jordison of Slipknot)
Murderdolls
Slipknot
System of a Down
Chimaira
Rob Zombie
Bullet For My Valentine
Rise Against
Mudvayne
I could go on and on for hours. I love music. >.<

Sure it is. What sane person kills a girl if she cheats on them? Or what sane band sings a song about a Mexican serial killer, who kills white chicks... That is all EMOTIONAL in my mind. They're scary if you read the lyrics.
Please note: In my opinion, anything != metal is emo-crap...

That makes no sense, but whatever.
Progressive rock bands pushed "rock's technical and compositional boundaries"[1] by going beyond the standard rock or popular verse-chorus based song structures. Additionally, the arrangements often incorporate elements drawn from classical, jazz, and world music. Instrumental songs are common, while songs with lyrics are sometimes conceptual, abstract, or based in fantasy. Progressive rock bands sometimes used concept albums that made unified statements, usually telling an epic story or tackling a grand overarching theme".[1]
I think that Coheed and Cambria would classify as those whos lyrics were conceptual, abstract and based in fantasy. :) Also, all of their songs tell a story. From their very first song, to their last song they made. They're in no way an emo band.

They are not emo in the strange musical sense. They're emo in the fact that everyone I know who listens to it are "emos". Could just be my school, but I'm pretty sure its the same all around. Which is why originally I decided to say "I'm not emo >_>". Same goes with Tool though, they're all cutters... Scary.

My favorite band is beatles. The Beatles were a pop and rock group from Liverpool, England. The band's principal members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

The overwhelming majority of Tool fans are not "emos". I have been to many Tool concerts and they usually draw an older and more mature crowd. The stereotypical high school age "emo kids" are nowhere to be seen. I like to think of Tool as the thinking man's rock band. (or thinking woman of course) =p
