That break was really needed (even if it wasn't a long one), I just had fun doodling this out of nowhere.

My tablet suddenly having some awesomely new found sensitivity out of nowhere with my new laptop may have also helped. :B

What's with the mouth though o.O First time I've seen such a thing...

EDIT: Maybe it's just me, but the hairs crisscrossing each other on her anatomical right side seems unsatisfactory.

The hair is supposed to be like that, she drew it right, she just added her own minor details to it that she liked. The lips are similar to a ":3" emoticon. Actually, there are anime in which female characters will make that facial expression.

That wasn't what I was talking about. It kinda looks like she has two lines for a mouth instead of one.

The specific hair crisscrossing I was noting is also absent from the images you posted.

^ It's more an implication of one continuous mouth, the gap accounts for the weird way the top is shaped if explicitly defined, which causes it to overlap slightly. It's a characteristic of the simple style portrayed. As far as I can tell at least.

OT: L> Your sudden motivation to draw things. Haven't had any drive lately at all, and anything I start ends up unfinished lol. It's a good start after a break at least, no need to rush into huge epic pieces immediately.

That's one of the things that's been up with me lately before I took my break, I could never finish what I started. I still have quite a few unfinished stuff rotting in y HD. :< One of them being an art trade I still need to color... :x

Yeah, I don't really do the mouth thing much, I was kind of experimenting with what that'd look like if I actuually drew it that way. I thought it turned out cute, though I'll just stick with my original way of drawing expressions. The eyes are a new thing that I'll be keeping, though. Been trying to come up with an eye style that didn't resemble anime so much and I think I found one that works. :P

Hot damn diggity!

The guy on the right is awesome! Very, very nice! I like that one a lot. I would like to see that guy fully finished, with some igniting background.

The one on the right looks like James from Pokemon, and also looks good. The only thing I'd change would be the thick forehead and the top of his right hair, give it more volume or else it will look like his head is flat at the top.

Haha, I finished it not long ago, actually! XD I got rid of the sketch in this thread and started a new one, so you can see it there.

Too bad I finished it before getting your comment, I would have been able to fix it then. :< Also, I do realize the left guy looks like James, I've been wanting to give him that kind of hair for years but never had the artistic ability to actually draw it that way until now. :b
