Since it tries to autokill it, it auto-d/cs us.

Does it only happen on BF?

Bigfoot isnt really counted as a boss. Poison, stun, etc all work on it so that might be why you can use snipe on it.

Does it... take damage from Snipe still?

Same idea as the GPQ Golems I suppose. No, it wouldn't damage it, it'd count as a miss, and d/c you.

I read somewhere, don't use Ice Demon, or you heal it 30k hp XP

Poison works on it? LOL Wut? how much damage does that do? I thought poison was a certain percentage of hp, and since bigfoot has alot....... hax dmg? o_0

Well, if Snipe auto-kills it then you'd get the EXP upon firing it, right?

boo, shame it's most likely getting fixed now.

what exactly happened?

Russt
2008-08-14, 05:41 PM
Bigfoot isn't/wasn't considered a boss, so %-based skills like poison and web worked on it.

I hope it still isn't after the patch. I want that pendant. What's bigfoot deal as far as damage?

11K. When I was poisoning one, some guy just walked into it.

And what pendant?

So wait, is it a non-boss with 100k+ hp?

So wait, is it a non-boss with 100k+ hp?

No, it's meant to be a boss with 32m hp. But it was released as a non-boss. I thought something was wrong when I saw a mini-health bar as I was shooting it.

lolz, gg nexon. So I guess that means if GMS ever gets a monster with 100k+ hp, snipe will be screwed for the 6 months it takes Nexon to notice.

Bigfoot is the most bugged monster in gMS so far EVER...

With so many bugs in 1 monster, Nexon will have to fix it in an Emergency Patch... just wait a few days till Nexon's programmers find the "boss = 1" trigger... :')

actually since i have not been up there, can you snipe the 130k hp monsters at the end of cwk?

Russt
2008-08-15, 02:28 PM
From what I hear you can snipe a def-canceled bonefish and it'll kill it even with 1 damage, so even though it won't do enough damage to kill it, it'll kill it.

Though I'm not sure whether you get full EXP, or whether it's the same deal as MB where you only get the split for how much damage you actually did.

Kevvl
2008-08-15, 02:37 PM
Yeah, you can, but I don't know about the exp bit =P.

I assumed you'd be able to kill any non-boss, since it's a 1hko attack. Perhaps Bigfoot d/c's you for the same reason GPQ golems do: You aren't supposed to kill it that easily (Or at all in GPQ's case)

Technolink
2008-08-15, 07:23 PM
So there are 130k hp monsters. I would guess snipe would d/c as it does on golems and BF. We'll see....

Nah. I used Snipe on the Guardians up by the Castle and I didn't DC.

So, I don't understand why Bigfoot f'ucks you up.

So can I snipe bigfoot, dc, log back in and pick up the toenail?

Id try it but I havent found one yet.

Even though Bigfoot isn't considered a boss right now, Sniping it doesn't kill it.

i read somewhere recentally that they had changed Pierces DC damage from 150K to 200K (mob atk that gets stronger and can deal over 100K without apples if 6 monsters r in a row) so that would leave me to assume that Snipes DC damage would also be 200K (or liek 199999) right?

It seems nexon deliberately disabled snipes OHKO ability on this "boss". Yet, they forgot about poison and shadow web. And they don't know how to make it hit the 99,999(lol nexon). They make sure archers get no advantage once so ever. But when it comes to things like archers getting banned and shit....nexon can care less.

It doesn't work like that.

Snipe is a skill that 1 hits any monster but displays 99,999 then subtract the monster's wdef calculations.

Snipe used on a boss hits 99k-wdef stuff.

Peirce is MADE to go over the 100k limit, as it gets exponentially bigger. Snipe is NOT MADE to go over 99k, but, if the monster has over 99k hp it will still kill it because its a 1 hit ko.

In other words, the number you see when you snipe a monster is just for looks, the number when you snipe a boss is real, and cannot break 99k.

Mark
2008-08-17, 01:24 PM
But Bigfoot isn't a "boss" as evident by the Fire Mages raping him with Poison. So why do we still disconnect from Sniping it? If the number is just for display, nothing should happen.

Technolink
2008-08-17, 01:36 PM
Technically not, how much Hp does BF have, 2M? It could simply be too large for the game to regester in 1 attack. Remember, the max snipe is supposed to actually deal is 130k.

Bigfoot has 32,000,000 HP for the record.

Well, there goes my hopes of killing it, getting its toe, and getting the freaking Deputy Star pendant. That would take me hours just to solo, even if I had an awesome sniping spot. Seriously.

Takes me less than 30 minutes, but even so, it's impossible with all the F/Ps killing it.

Technolink
2008-08-18, 12:35 PM
As long as you deal half the damage before the F/P comes, you should get the drop.

Just a little math: 5613.03 average damage per strafe (wdef and lvl diff included)
That means 5701 shots till its dead at 84 shots/minute is
67.86 minutes.

Although thanks to eagle I can pretty much continually attack it, there's still sometimes it gets me into a corner.

So pretty much, I have to attack it constantly for 34 minutes to get the drop. >_< I'll wait till I'm leet awesome first, lol

Does Hawk/Eagle stun BF?

That's what I read in another thread, which makes me wonder if my Hamstring would have worked and my build would no longer be completely worthless lol. I haven't found a Bigfoot since the server check after the patch, though.

Does Hawk/Eagle stun BF?
It does. Tried to kill it with a Hermit friend before the SC on patch day, and used Hawk to stun it. Too much HP for me and the graphics are glitched badly (HP bar moves around for different stances, arrows pass through, poisonable, etc.)

Technolink
2008-08-18, 06:55 PM
Yea, the HP bar is weird and yes, it is stunabble.

It looks like the HP bar goes off the charts, but isn't displayed, lol. Sometimes its current HP will flash, only to be replaced by the overflowing green bar.
