Some words being banned such as Basilmarket I understand (as there is a lot of shit in that forum) but a legitimate "competition" to SW such as this, I just see that as what it is: A "Im afraid of competition so I will ban all discussion of it on my site", which imo, is a very childish and cowardly thing to do. That being said, Adura is Adura and that's what he does I suppose >_>

Don't know about Ravishing, but Adura banned all of KoM for "a known link to private server activity."

The only "link" that was there was this guy named Trunks founded KoM back in beta and recently founded a private server. Any other link is incidental and not a result of guild membership. But hey, what better way to express your butthurt with a single user than by attacking everyone around him?

I can answer yes to 6 of those immediately, I guess I'm not suited for SW anyway.

I find a private server to be enormous help when finding certain information (specifically things that are not easy or feasible to get on Global, due to time or meso constraints, or just the fact that GameGuard is not cooperative with most software) and if he wants to keep the community in the dark then there's no point staying. Things like Sharp Eyes, where it's oh so much more convenient to be able to buff myself instead of dragging around a Bowmaster whenever I feel like checking out how damage is calculated.

And it's a bit late to not contribute to private servers, I've already had some of my code committed to the OdinMS source. Shrug.

It's okay to hate Sleepywood. But stop lumping the entire staff with Adura and saying "they" lied about that DDoS attack or "they" were tyrants. First of all, ADURA, not us, lied about the DDoS attack. Second, half of the people upset and complaining about the staff being tyrants are the people who couldn't follow the simple rules to begin with and got upset when they were punished for them. I'm not saying the staff were perfect, because that isn't true. There were some staff members who were really REALLY strict, but at the same time, it's a fucking insult to those who did their best to help the community, who tried to make the place better to get lumped as tyrants, immature, or whatever other stupid insults that got flung at them.

I'm just a bit annoyed at the reasoning some people use as to why they don't like Sleepywood, especially when the reasoning is not well-informed.

Come to think of it, out of the major forums for Maple Story, Odin and Basilmarket are the only ones which did not filter the URLs and Names of those who disagree. D:
SW has Mapletip, BasilMarket, and now Southperry all blocked. D:
MapleTip has Sleepywood bocked, not sure about Basil.

I hope this forum can flourish and become a major forum that is known by a notable population of Maple Story, such as Basil, MT, SW, and HiddenStreet. :)

As much as I enjoy reading this topic, it's kinda sad to bash a forum like this. After all, without Sleepywood many of us wouldn't be posting in this forum right now. We've all banded together for a purpose and that's to talk about Maplestory. We all have old hurts, that's true, but I think it's about time to get over it. Sleepywood will continue to exist just as this site continues to exist. I harbor nothing against Sleepy - it's a decent site.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw that now, all of Fiel's posts were gone, was "Oh shit, i'm next." People had been sending me PMs and such to "back up your threads" because of a fear that this might happen... It's sad to see the once-great sleepywood has fallen to this, but it's not the end. We can all hope that some day things can be reconciled. There doesn't have to be a hate between us.
