Sinful

My laptop (Dell Vostro 1000) has been lagging while connected to my wireless connection. It is SOO laggy that even when I type it has a delay of 1-2 seconds. At first I thought it was the computer and I tried scanning with AVG, kaspersky and many other virus scanners. All or most of them found nothing and I was still lagging. So I had a feeling it maybe my internet itself.
I bring my laptop to a friend's house and try out his wireless connection. Amazingly enough, it was not lagging at all. I could type, load pages and go on MS without any problems.
The weird thing about this is that my desktop, the computer connected from the router and modem isn't lagging. So could this be a problem of the router/modem..?
I'm using a D-Link DI-524 and DSL 300-G for my modem.
~Thanks for reading.
