If you have ever checked out the links in my sig before, then you're probably aware that I have a subsection of my strategywiki User Page that lists all the new quests which came out in the last patch. I decided that it'd be much better, and easier, for it to be posted here! I usually assemble them based off Tespia data, but that obviously wasn't possible for this patch. However, I have been able to get some ready based on the patch announcements.

Here are the Area Boss related quests! (Take note that these quest names are from MapleSEA this time around, and so may not be 100% accurate in titles or NPC names. Completion requirements ARE, however, accurate.)

"Manu", "Mano", and "Grampa Snail" are better?
Besides, Snail King was around months before kMS even got this thing. :[

Since when? Every time I see a pic of him, it's either Mano, or his nickname, Grampa Snail. The King of Snails, if it does exist, is merely a title, not his name.

IsaacGS

He was never ever called Snail King... It was ALWAYS Mano. you can check Zyxwvut's thread.

Islanders had Snail King long before Nexon stole him, so of course none of the data will have his true name in it. :[

Mano or Manu doesn't sound too different to me.
As for me, I'd refer to him as grampa snail lol...

I hear that if you use the shell and then return to pia after you killed Mano then she defames you or something. But if you hand over the shell, she keeps it and you gain 3 fame (and also see her turn into a red snail).

Is it true?

Did you read my post? ._.
Islanders had him before kMS, Nexon's spies stole him, and gave him their messed up name! Using the data to support any name doesn't make sense, since the real name was never used by Nexon.

Quests that give reasonable experience. Simply unbelievable. Wouldn't it be funny if KMS decided to up the rewards on the current quests, and me having done all of them already? Haha? Yeah, anyway it's not like I'll lose anything, I just won't gain anything. 70 fame? It's not like fame's useful for anything, but it's still nice.

There was no mention of the ML/HT Area Bosses being released, so no. (I would assume that those bosses would be released in a future patch.)

The two Area Bosses you're talking about are Tae Roon and Master Goblin.

Here's what I suspect:
Raven weapons, we already know for sure, are obtained and forged through the Ninja clan at their camp. The crimson weapons are probably to be obtained in the second addition to Crimsonwood that's scheduled to come later.

I didn't mention it (Though i'm about to go edit it in) but after you do two of those quests for Taggrin, you gain abilities in the Raven Ninja's camp.
The first quest will let you buy potions there.
The second quest will let you turn in Badges to Joko once a day. You can possibly get Raven weapons this way, or pure mesos. Think of it as an Exchange Quest.
The third quest will allow you to upgrade/forge Raven weapons from Fiona.

8225.1.0 I want to thank you again for returning our map. This gesture tells me something of who you are. Perhaps someone to be trusted... a potential ally. Time will tell if my faith is misplaced. 2544506

8225.1.2 We Raven Ninjas trace our lineage back to the ancient Masterian guild of the #bShadowknights#k, so you could consider Crimsonwood Keep our ancestral home. Our mission here is to discover the reason for Masteria's disappearance and its return. It is almo
8225.1.3 Based on what you have told me, I have expanded our mission to include the elimination of these trespassers that now occupy Crimsonwood Keep. <smiles> It's what we do best. But we will #bpay a bounty for the badges#k of those you happen to dispatch as
8225.1.yes.0 Oh, and keep this map. Jack may have been right to entrust you with it. Until we meet again, friend. 2545697

I still think that the Crimsonwood-titled weapnos will drop from monsters. I mean, why else would Nexon add them? :f6:
Also, any thoughts of how you get those 2h BW Seal cushions? Or are they gacha, too. :f6:

Where MO is located and what pots she sells? :O

"I would like to ask how hard it is to recieve the new level 90 dexless claw. Does it drop? Do you forge it? I certainly hope its a quest like the sauna robe, where its one per character.

It's a fair challenge to get."

Why is it that Raven weapons were added for most weapons, while Bows, axes, polearms and spears were excluded?

There's a story-based reason for this, mainly to differentiate the area a bit (what would a Ninja wield, etc).

For those wondering about other weapons
Third, is there any particular reason there were no Axes found in the data?

Actually, the Axe is obtained a bit differently from the other weapons. 2nd half, it exists, and isn't low-level.

Oh and this...

The Raven and Crimson stuff is all in-game, and you have a fair chance to get them, but you'll have to work for it.

I think it has something to do with the 3rd quest from Fiona. Get ready to gather lots of etc items...

No, Dragon Stones only work on HT pendants. Just like Speigelmann Marbles only work on that pendant.

This pendant can only be scrolled with Chaos scrolls right now, because Chaos Scrolls go on everything.

Also, i didn't see an untradeable tag so it looks like these might very well be tradeable...

The problem with Chaos Scrolling this is that it has soooo many different stats that it will be near impossible to get a decent increase on the stats you're after. Keep in mind it could also up the def/mdef and hp/mp.

Quest data from Quest.wz. Nexon really butchered Quest.wz's usefulness for storyline development (so i've been taking hundreds of screenshots today of each chat box) but it still had enough info to put together quest guides.

All you need is the ETC. They're untradeable, though, so you'll have to kill it yourself or have someone kill it with/for you.

And yeah, a few of these (esp. the ones in regard to Jack) require older NLC quests to be done, specifically the infamous Hyper Glyph and Elpam quests.

How long is spawn on Big Foot? I cant seem to find one

For those of you are curious:

Master Goblin quest: It will already appear in your "In Progress" if you've been keeping up with the previous quests in that series. However, you still have to talk to Do Gong again to activate the "Kill 1 King Sage Cat + Acquire 1 Antidote Marble."

King Sage Cat spawns in Goblin Forest 2 and produces a blue message, just like all other Area Bosses. The marble seems to have a 100% drop-rate and obviously only appears if you have the quest started.

The reward is 200k some exp (like 22xk I think) and 17 fame.

---

Old Fox quest: Chil Sung is the one you want to talk to to start his (the left side dude in KFT). He talks about how is brother has gone batty, etc. Upon talking to his brother, you realize he really has gone fruit loops. Chil Sung wants you to go talk to the God of the Mountains, 'cause he knows everything. Seriously. The God of the Mountains, however, actually fails at life and is a pussy. He suggests you go talk to the Goblins inside the Haunted House (if you remember, that's the map where you can summon Goblins by using those different food items).

There's a hidden map inside the Haunted House with the three goblins in it (NPC FORM WTHAX). All three of them have a quest. Each of them wants 1 of their respective food summoning item (Rice Wine, Buckwheat Paste, and, er...that other one). Once you get those for them, they all give you clues about Old Fox and where he spawns (Moon Hill, FYI - except it's currently an unnamed map in GMS).

Go back and talk to the Loser of the Mountains, and he'll send you back to Chil Sung. After talking to Chil Sung one last time, he will offer you sex to defeat the Old Fox and collect his tail (Kill 1 Old Fox + Acquire 1 Old Fox Tail). Yada yada. Go to the hidden map in the cave on the Sammiho map. Wait for the blue message that means Old Fox has spawned, rape it and collect its tail (another seemingly 100% drop-rate item, if you have the quest started). Give the tail back to the brother who has gone bonkers, and he will magically recover. Yay!

The reward is 100k some exp and 15 fame.

I had fun. <3

Oh, and Cassandra is also in Korean Folk Town.

To correct the first one I quoted, Beginners CAN do it. It is in my islander's quest log (but I can't access it since Cassandra isn't on Maple Island ;( I can collect leaves though, so go figure <_< ).

I believe mrgiz also posted that he got a STR leaf in another forum. :s
it had a list of job IDs and usually when it does that the excluded job is beginner. I guess I missed that on there?

Is the attendance quest active? It won't show on my list, and Maple admin only shows the notebook one.

I guess so Isaac. I know for a fact that I see it as available and Cassandra's picture shows up in the quest log. :o

The Notebook one doesn't, but that IS only available to jobbed characters. I don't get why at all, but yea. They don't want beginners/islanders participating in server battles. :(

Not gonna do those Naomi quests until I can figure out how they work in game. Quest data doesn't make sense.

Isaac, you forgot to link to this quest:

Fight for the Future (http://strategywiki.org/wiki/MapleStory/Quests/World_Tour#Fight_for_the_Future)

It's the one that involves killing Capt Latanica.

Activation requirements for one of the pirate quests:
Requires date before November 11, 2008 and A New Force Emerging, A Mysterious Letter, and A Strange Development not started

Do we have a release date for pirates? Or an apporximate one at least?

And BRAWLER? They changed Infighter to Brawler. Wow. Holy shit that was the worst idea in the world.

TCG set 5 is scheduled for the 11th, so they pretty much have to patch then. Might not be the big one but they do need to patch.

Isaac, got any info on how Naomi's quest works yet? It says you only need 100 Magic Crystals to complete it. Check the Quest Helper, it'll say x/100. My thoughts:

A) It's repeatable and she just adds up how many times you did it in the end and gives you a prize accordingly? Like, if I completed it 7 times, I'd get a Necomimi for 700 points.

B) It's one-time-only and just gives you a prize based on how many you give her at once? Like if I bring her 700/100, I'll get Necomimi.

It really seems like B is more likely. Anyone completed the quest yet to see what happens? I'd really like to know if I could just get 100 and complete the quest, but still keep doing it to get a Necomimi.

Hmm...maybe there'd be two patches in a month?

Like, a quick 4 hour patch to add in iTCG, then a huge one (15 hours at least) for pirates and Thanksgiving.

yeah. I just did this, and I was able to get 21 in the 5 minutes. Necomimi might be the best I can hope for lol.

I'm pretty sure it's case A. Case B wouldn't make sense because the quest script is only programmed for 100. It wouldn't take more than that. That being said it wouldn't be the first time they surprised me with a change in how quests are done.

Unlikely. Nexon pays little attention to quests, even though they are the best part of MS. It takes them forever to fix quest problems. Heck, that Ariant quest is still stuck in Progress even though it's completed. There's other problems they don't care about, too, like Maple Island quests getting stuck and impossible to complete.

Singapore = now officially on Masteria.

And I still really want to know about Naomi's quest! If I can complete it once and get it added to my Completed section, I want to do it! But I still want to be able to earn a Necomimi. Help. :(

Felix, you want the hat. Go for 700 (I read that it was 500 per slot, so no big etc deal (although, since you're a quest addict, you should be used to it :P)). Once you have the 700, talk to her and see what happens. Either way, you can't be screwed over, and you do need to get 700. :f2:

That's what I'm planning to do, as of now. It just FREAKIN' bothers me to have quests sitting in my In Progress. It's like this burning ITCH that I just have to get them completed as SOON as POSSIBLE. That's why I'd like someone to test talking to her with 100. :(!

I would totally test it right now, but, as much as I need to feed my addiction, I CAN NOT RISK LOSING THOSE KAWAII KITTY EARS!

He could always update after the patch, for all Nexon knows he did the quests and earned the rewards and data himself. They cant prove anything and thus couldnt take action.

those quests were added from MapleSEA's data, they're not out yet in GMS.

btw, you may notice Strategywiki's been updated with (most) Nautilus quests. I wasn't able to post it here due to the recent incidents, but they are there.

They get completed no matter which is turned in. I completed it upon Gen 30. It's restarting it that will pull it out back into the quest log.
