Is it possible to challenge for a medal after earning it?

I was wondering if it's possible to earn the Celebrity Medal and/or Veteran Hunter Medal again once you've earned it. The reason I'm asking is because back when medals were considered quests, I "completed" these by getting famed like 10 times or killing about 1k monsters and forfeiting the quest, which counted them as complete. As a result, they now show up as a medal I've earned. However, I like collecting medals and keeping them, as dumb as that may be, so I was wondering if I could actually get these medals. I tried talking to the medal NPC but he does not let me challenge for them again.

I'm pretty sure you have to drop them to be able to get them again. The only exceptions should be the Explorer and 1st/2nd/3rd/4th job Medals.

Edit: But then again, those aren't exactly challenges, lol.

Just make sure you don't have one of the first Medals that was released challenged, like the PQ Mania Medal.

He said he wants to collect and keep the medals... so I don't think he has them. Rather, he has glitched quest which say he did the medal, but the medal-quest system says he has it too... or something, and he can't get them.

Yeah, back when I was doing the Quest Specialist, I was looking for free quests to complete and someone suggested starting and forfeiting medal quests, which counted as complete as long as you attempted them. I don't have the medals, but since these quests counted as complete they showed up as an earned medal when Nexon added in the medal window thing.

Make sure you aren't currently attempting one of the challenge medals. As long as you do not have the medal in question and you aren't currently doing another challenge, you can take the challenges as many times as you want.
