for the next hero class, why not have them be a catalyst-skill user?

by that, i mean this:

there would be three various catalyst moves. picture each as booster, animation/speed wise for demonstration purposes. in first job, you'd get one catalyst skill and two dependent skills that can only be used while that catalyst is active. in second job they'd gain another catalyst and two dependent skills relying on that catalyst move to be able to be used. in the third job, however, instead of the third catalyst, they get one skills for the 1st catalyst, and two for the 2nd catalyst, as well as some basic moves and/or moves that would modify slightly the first two catalysts, like say, an element charge, a status charge, or a buff duration extension. now in the 4th job, they get their last catalyst, 2 moves that depend on that, and one for each of the other two catalysts, the basic 4th job skills, and a passive skill that has some tricky workings.

now, as i write this up it would probably work best with a pirate-> fist-user, but, its just an idea i had at work today (why i was even thinking of MS when i quit is beyond me, perhaps the allure of aran is just that strong... i digress). now, what this passive skill would do is make it so that using multiple catalysts would bring with it added benefits. say for instance, the following were to apply:

1<->2 catalysts: while in effect together, adds/increases chance of attacks/skills stunning the target for a few moments.
2<->3 catalysts: while in effect together, increases the amount of damage done to the target.
1<->3 catalysts: while in effect together, increases the rate of knockback every attack/skill used has.
1<->2<->3 catalysts: while all 3 catalysts are active, increases the chance of skills that are catalyst dependent doing critical damage.


the logic behind this class is actually more simple than im making it: make it so that every skill, even those gained in first job, can still have a purpose at the "end" of the game. like, with most all the other classes, you get a skill in 1st/2nd job, but after 3rd and 4th, its altogether made useless. thats where this classes inspiration came from. make it so that every skill, even weaker ones, can be made useful one way or another. sure it'd be hard to make work entirely, as by the time a character would be 14x+, they really would only need to use the catalyst from first job, but if a skill from first job had an already decent rate of KB with it, theres some incentive to use that at least, and combined with the first and third catalyst, thatd make it have a damned better KB usage potential.

comments/concerns? i mean, this was a fevered idea as it came to me spur of the moment, but, would an idea like this at least hold its own if implemented for the next hero class?
