As I understand it, the only way to recover more than 3 MP per 10 seconds without potions/buffs is to sit down on a bench/chair, go to a special map, or add into a MP Recovery skill.
Friend says adding INT works and that he's tried it.

Who's right? :ohno:

The INT thing is wrong. It doesn't even come close to working that way. At least it hasn't worked that way in any of my experiences.

INT doesn't affect MP recovery at all. So the only way for non-MP Recovery classes to get more than 3 MP/10 seconds is to sit.

Or a chair that heals MP. There's several of those lying around.

Or, you can use a potion, or go into the sauna.

Sorry if that's obvious, but you never said...

What's the formula for MP recovered if you add into MP Recovery?
I thought it was 3 + 1 MP per SP in the skill and 1 MP for ever level up you have after adding to the skill, but a came across a site saying it was Skill Lv over ten times character level + 3.

I would check if Maple would let me log on.

Skill level/10*character level + 3 is correct.

Note that technically when you sit on a chair you are "in the sauna" so you can get another 50% boost by wearing a sauna robe or bath towel.

It's more useful on classes that aren't stuck with 3 mp/10s though >_> (my Paladin has MP recovery maxed out so I get like 74 on a chair in a sauna robe, and you regen near 500mp/10s on a high level mage)

It's still not enough to do anything for me, I use 26 per attack :x
