Description of Issue:
Of 7 cash shop sales announced for the Black Friday weekend, 2.5 were glitched in a way that didn't let anyone buy anything, in all servers but Scania and Bera. Nexon does not acknowledge this error.
Why this issue needs attention:
People who bought NX in perparation for this sale, were cheated out of their money by Nexon.
Desired Action or Resolution:
Get Nexon to acknowledge its failure in this sale, and to compensate users in a meaningful manner.

If it seems to have attracted a significant degree of interest a moderate will promote it to the rally forum as a vote with only Yea or Nay as the options.

I wouldn't be so harsh on them since they never gave any official word on the items on sale. If they did screw up a whole sale, then yeah sure, go ahead. If at least one item was functioning normally, I think they'll just get away with it.

In most servers except Scania and Bera, though, that's exactly what happened - ALL the items were glitched. Windia and Demethos I'm sure of, at the very least.

I am in favor of this, many items appeared on the sale but with -1 available, so no one could buy them.
Someone said it could have been because they removed an item from the sale and bugged all the subsequent ones. So it was their fault at doing it.

They're not obligated to compensate for anything for the sales because all they stated was that there would be a sale during those times, and there in fact were of the pets in the first glitched sale, of the red sailor skirt in the second, and of the cloud 9 pillow and something else in the third. They did not release anything official about items in the sale, and nobody was supposed to know what was in the sale. Buying nx for it was a personal choice. I don't think Nexon should have to compensate for anything. They messed up the sale times a little bit, but that's a different issue.

Except that that wasn't the case for every single server. Demethos got NO ITEMS for the last three sales - how is that a sale?

What Cyanne said was, that it was a sale on at least one item for each sale, no-one at Nexon promised any specific items for sale, we all just read extractions and assumed those were what would be offered. I was expecting to get myself a 90 day merchant because of the extractions, when that didn't come to fruition, despite having already bought NX for it, I don't see the need to demand a 90 day merchant be put on sale, because I mistakenly thought it was going to be, with no information from Nexon suggesting it.

And what we're saying is that for some servers, there were no items at all that worked for those sales.
Think about it. If a store display says that there's a sale in the entire store, yet there's only one department that's actually having a sale (horrible analogy, but think departments = servers), then should they get away with it because only two or three servers actually got them?

There is a difference between there being items we thought would be on sale (like the Pink Bean or the 90-day merchant), and items that were actually displayed in the cash shop, with a "only 30 will be sold", and -1 quantity off the bat.
I am not complaining based on extractions. The removal of PB after extractions were posted intentional. Mean, but "working as intended". No grounds for complaint.
I am complaining based on what was actually displayed, which indicates Nexon *intended* to offer 30 units (or whatever) but due to a glitch, none could be bought. I want Nexon to acknowledge the glitch and reschedule the sale (or otherwise compensate, but rescheduling the sale is probably easiest).

the very fact that only 2 out of all the servers were not affected merits it enough IMO. its like nexon messed up the sales by not making them available in the other servers, and indirectly spited the other servers.

N.E. 2: well, why dont we show them a lesson for choosing to play in the wrong servers then, hmm?

sure nexon is not responsible for the money that people spend, but they should be held accountable for the negligence they displayed when prioitizing those servers over the others and not providing a service which people were expected to pay for in some manner. sure it was only 2.5 or however many of the days of the sale/time settings for the sale, but thats like a store saying they have X amount of Y for Z amount of time, but selling out of Y and not changing the X during the Z.

i dont 100% agree lol. technically yes, the sale was pretty messed up. however, it was a sale and the error probably cost nexon money, even though it was probably not a great deal of money. nonetheless they still probably lost money. i just don't see what they can do now to fix it except for give 2x exp or something stupid like that.. theres no way they'd "redo" the sale so that the other servers can get the items.

For some people it's not even that screwed up, it's that they screwed up and ignored it. Not a peep, not even a "we're sorry". That is the least they can do.
Considering they'll be having another holiday sale they could even apologize and tell us to make up for it they'll double the available quantity in the upcoming sale [Best part is they can blatantly lie there and no-one would even know. :f3:], or include the glitched items in those sales if they weren't already.

but thats nexon.. they wouldn't post unless they had a way to "fix it" or compensate it. and with christmas stuff coming up and aran patch, we might already be gettin 2x events, we already are gettin 2x drop events and sales, and there will be more sales coming up. they'll probably just continue to ignore all of this.

The entire reason this forum exists is basically to try to train Nexon to not be a fuckup of a company and actually talk to it's customers about issues rather than ignore them. "Oh that's just Nexon" is exactly the point. They can be better. Letting them continue to fail just because they always have is being part of the problem, not the solution.
All I can say is that I got things within the first minute of the final "Glitched" sales.

I got Meso Magnet and HP Pouch thing from the supposed glitched sale in Mardia. Another friend of mine says his Meso Magnet doesn't do anything, but mine works fine...

ODERS, if you did seriously get one of the items, you can easily prove it.
If you go to the GMS website, log in, then under the cash shop tab, select transaction log. Then click NX usage, and take a screenshot. Make sure to edit out your account name, then just show us the page with the amount you spent on pet equips displaying.
