View Full Version : A meso saved....

All my mapling career (3 years, w/breaks) I've always been uncomfortable with how many mesos I have. With my multitude of characters on different worlds the most I've ever obtained was around 300k with my lv. 33 i/l. I know that if I play further on, I'll get more mesos, but it seems that even people who (usually) don't gach, or aren't funded always seem to have 5mil by level 20 :f7:
Anyways... the point of this thread is if you have any money making tips besides the usual, e.g. picking up everything, not buying everything etc.
The second thing is having less than 100k with characters unfunded ok for a level 19? I'm nxless btw.
sorry for the wall of text... my bad :f7:
Your second thing: That's normal.
Don't let it bother you, you should be well into the 1 millions by the late 3xs.
You gotta do the scroll quests if you want to have money in the late 1 millions.
Also carnival party questing for necklaces and selling them is nice.
Last but not least: Sakura cellions. Around 400k per hour.

omg... 400k/ hour *jaw drops* But... In regards to fming whenever i try to fm something good, (imo) nobody's buying. How do you find a buyer? Ask anyone you see who's in the level range of that item to buy?
Thanks for your post, not only am i more secure about my future but now i'm more motivated to train!: Yay!?!:glitter:
You'll gain more mesos sooner or later. I don't think you should worry about mesos at that level yet. There'll be quests at like 2x or 3x which gives you scrolls & you can sell 'em.
People that aren't funded or have a higher leveled character shouldn't have five million mesos by level 20. o_O;

Man, that's a wall of text? I dont want to know what my posts come across as x_X
Its normal not to have much money. I remember when I first started my archer, I thought 100k was a lot and I'd stand still to heal hp to save pot money and stuff. The game has gotten a lot easier now in terms of money making and whatnot though and 300k does sound a bit low but as mentioned above, there are quests that can be done to easily rectify that.

Having less than 100k at level 19 is perfectly normal.
Do scroll quests and sell scrolls for quick money when you're higher leveled

Lol, I hit 1mill mesos when I was 45... I suck with money, I've only got 29mill on me atm, and highest I've everhad was when I was level 100 I sold a 20STR level 60 top and got up to 70mill, which instaintly drained...
I'd say do the quests, and as much as people hate them, Omega's quests give good rewards, there are two in the 4x or 5x that give 60% overall INT at a chance, which is around 15mill depending on server... Just mainly work on gaining levels and doing quests, at your level gear does not matter to much. just potions.

You should first probably pick just one server and focus on one character first. Then you should do some scroll quests and earn some money. If u would like, kpq and get decent scrolls ( overall dex 10%) and there are good npcable stuff. After that, just keep on doing party quests.

Don't worry, man. Quests and getting lucky with some drops will help you out.
I think you're doing way better than me. At level 40, I couldn't afford my Dagger from an NPC (425k). And when I went through the 3rd job advancement, I had less than 50k mesos. But thanks to Forest of Gollems and many Wolf Spider drops, I'm doing pretty damn good.
You're gonna make money easier than me, because of all the new PQs and training places that I didn't have.
Good luck and have fun.

You can always try merchanting, but without a shop you'll be in the FM for hours on end.
You can try buying iTCG sets and selling the in-game stuff you get from them.
You can skip some levels of equipment to save money.
There's a lot of things you can do to make money.

Quests are the main way you get money early, if you know which ones to do you can get things like weapon attack 60% scrolls, and of course the Kerning PQ has some decent rewards too.

By the time you get to level 40, you'll have had the opportunity to get up to 5 Glove Attack Scrolls. Glove Attack Scrolls, if you aren't aware, are one of the most expensive scrolls in the game. If you get, and sell, all of these, then you will have plenty of money.

I'd say CPQ til 51
It is a NO pots place- and the pendant is nice too-
LMPQ is also good money- and Sakuras are decent too-
Really though- unless you farm or do quests you won't RACK UP DA CASH!
and you don't need any really until 71 thanks to pqs.:glitter:

One of the most important things to remember is that you shouldn't sell any scrolls unless you know the price. I don't care how much you trust the community. There will always be those scammers who take advantage of the 'innocent'.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you shouldn't bother buying/selling in the FM unless you're over level 40. Until then, most of the things that you consider 'awesome' is just going to be junk in the eyes of others. Spend the time training instead of wandering around the FM.

After you get some start-up cash from the scroll quests mentioned above, find a way to use the money to make more money. Each person does this in a different way, but it's usually much more effective than picking up monster drops. Once you get strong enough, consider hunting iron hogs in the mushmom map or pig park I, you can forge steel plates from the etc drops (1 per 100 hog hooves), and each plate is worth 300-400k in my server. It makes a lot more money than sakuras, depending on how strong you are. You could also invest in a wedding ticket and marry a mule, or split the cost with a good friend who won't make a divorce so that you can amoria pq. This does require some levels for you to be accepted by parties though, so level up to at least around level 70 until you try these methods. You can get there quickly through cpq and lmpq, both of which make decent money and experience.

I would like to point out that while you say that you are nxless that no one has to be nxless anymore. You can sell items in MTS and receive nx for those items. The nx you receive can be spent in the cash shop or in MTS on other items.
I recommend you sell a few things in MTS and obtain a store permit. A regular one will work wonders if you can leave your computer on for extended periods. Otherwise wait until you have a bunch of stuff to sell and invest in mushies.
Sell cheep items (like cellron tails) in your store to make mesos, sell more expensive items in MTS. There are some etc drops that sell well in MTS (so you don't have to sell all your scrolls there) such as toy drums, mateon tails, dark cloud fox tails, etc... You just have to search and find what sells best where. But if you spend some time at it you can have plenty of nx and mesos.
After you acculumate some nx capital you can do mts merchating to make more nx and you can spend profits in the cash shop or in investments in mts for your char to use or to sell in your store for more mesos.
Since you are a lvl 33 I/L I recommend you go to the EOS tower and hunt drum bunnies if you would like to make nx. Sell the drums in MTS for 500 nx (that you get, like 650 nx for the buyer after tax) for every set of 200. After 800 drums you may buy a store permit which will simplify matters for you greatly. Don't sell partial sets (like 157) most people like to buy even sets (like 100 and 200).

are you calling merchants scammers? :f1:
I don't think he is.
A merchant wants to buy a 5m scroll for 4m and re-sell it for 5m.
A scammer wants to buy a 5m scroll for 5k and re-sell it for 50m.
Merchants shoot for 20-50% profit, scammers shoot for closest to 0 cost on the item then passing it off as something else to the buyer for extra profit.
-----
If you decided you want to get nx in mts then since nx is available to all accounts you can use a different char in a different world to make nx for your main if you wish.

A merchant is someone who browses the Free Market and looks for cheap items that they can later sell for more.
A scammer spams in the entrance to the Free Market and scams people who don't know the prices by making it sound like their item is worthless.
