If you look at Fiel's extractions, NO CLAW is unknown.

It's from that Episod 1 they added. From the boss.

When I said unknown, I meant I didn't know about it and probably 30% of the people here don't know what it is, so I just but in unknown.

What boss is it from and how can I get it? :wink:

finish all the quests given by ur job instructor and at the end you will fight this boss in a party

Astaroth has a pretty terrible droprate though, I killed about 40 and only 1 weapon dropped (and there are what, 10-12 different class weapons?)


As for how to get it, train a new character to level 25, finish a long quest chain from your job instructor, and then go down to the Sleepywood Dungeon, find the hidden map, and kill it a bunch of times. Eventually it should drop the claw...

I assume they're untradable and that one's Karma'd?

If you go and fight the boss, is there ever a time when you can't? ie too high of a level. Is it an open boss like Mushmom? Or special, secret map that you can always get to boss like a PQ?

It is a special boss, but if you are over 40, you can't enter.

So if you get to level 40, you could farm it easily? Get some good gear, go in, fight, come out, repeat? No restrictions set by others?
No "Someone is in there atm, so gtho" notices?

Astaroth is not a tough boss for level 40's. Me and my friends(25 Warrior 33 Spear, 30 Slinger) take Astaroth down easily in 4 minutes with half-assed equips.

I assume everyone in the party must be < lv 40? Do they have to do the quest? ie, can Aran come in?

I don't think the pig head needs a karma? But you can only get it once...


And my level 38 Brawler could solo the boss in about 5 minutes, when I was fighting in a party of 3 (38/30/28) we took it down in a little over 2 minutes. There's only a 10 minute timer anyway.

Man, if someone was funded enough, that claw would be way overpowered :f3:

White scrolls plus pink claw attack scrolls? Hell, you could easily, with that claw being below average, end up with 69 attack before using Hammers on it.

Of course, with that kinda funding, youd wanna just use 9 on an average makerd lampion and get more damage wise outta it.
