View Full Version : DINPUT8.dll?

When I tried to run MapleStory today, I got this message saying that DINPUT8.dll could not be found and that I had to reinstall Maple. Is this happening to anyone else? I played MS a few hours ago and it was just fine.

You probably uninstalled something or had an antivirus scan that killed it. Anyway, something deleted that dll. so let's reinstall it.

1. Download that .dll file here. (http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?dinput8) (Or google DINPUT8.dll and download it from some other place.

2. Extract the dinput8.dll file, and then drag and drop it in the folder System32 located at:
C:\WINDOWS\system32

If it still doesn't work, post back.

Reinstall the DLL like Beloved said, or reinstall Maple.

Reinstalling Maple would not bring DINPUT8.dll back ;)

Wouldn't say this is necessary to know that much info for this issue specifically (just the OS maybe), but it would be nice if they'd include the what happens afterwards. It's like going to the docs: the doc won't know what's wrong with you until you give specific symptoms besides "i'm hurting". -- It's way too vague.

I've never used vista before, so I really dont know if the dll files are stashed in the same directory as it would on an winxp machine.

I want to know what version of DirectX they're running :S. The issue is with DirectX It is easier to tell them to go and post the info then typing up instructions to do so :S
