View Full Version : Mushmom can heal herself?

Today I was at Mushmom as I usually am. I like to do this thing where I hit Mushmom just enough for it to be my kill, but leave her running around so some poor sap can finish her off and I'll just walk by and loot my drops. It's cruel, I know. But it keeps me entertained while I gather Hooves. Anyway, this particular Mushmom was alive for, I shit you not, roughly 45 minutes in Scania. Gotta be some kind of new record.

Anyway when she first spawned I issued one Eruption and it was enough to make it my kill. I then proceeded to gather Hooves while waiting for a "victim." After about 30 minutes or so I was bored and gave Mushmom a love tap, only to find out she healed herself back to full HP. :f6: So I hit her with another Eruption and brought her back down to my kill as seen here:

After about another 15 minutes some Ice Wizard dropped in so I had to quickly give Mushmom another tap to prove she had healed herself here:

So could mini-bosses like that always heal themselves? If so, disregard this post as just some crazy Marksman finding something he didn't know about. If not, when was it implemented?

A lot of monsters regenerate over time, and each monster is different. Brown teddies can, for example.

That's interesting; I didn't know that Mushmoms could do that too.

Nexon did this so people like you won't do dirty tricks on other people

/sarcasm.

I am about 70% sure that about half the monsters in the game should be able to recover Hp (and Mp?) over time... It might just be slower with some monsters than others, I also think most Area Bosses(Master Monsters) have this function to recover over time. Some maplers just keep attacking or dealing damage without stoping, so it is never noticeable:f2:. I am sorry if this offends anyone:f4:!

yep, what Anon said is true. Most monsters have some type of healing ability but it activates so slowly that you won't notice it in most cases.

Does the EXP return to no-ones? Because I always hated going into a F/Ps old map and having do to an entire loop and basically get 0 exp...

Well, a lot of people don't know this, so don't feel too bad.

Lol, all monsters heal in their own way.

One time I was soloing Pianus, got it down to around 25% HP left. Then I had to go somewhere, so I just memorized the channel it was on, and 30mins later it moved up to ~50%.

I think all boss monsters heal for sure.

Nah. There was this one time I was at skeles misting, then I had to leave. Eight hours later, I was surprised that my exact spawn was still there. I still got the full exp off 1 hitting them. Hypothetically, if they had healed, I wouldn't be able to 1 hit them.

I never knew monsters can regenerate HP at all O_O (except for certain bosses eg. Ergoth)

Harrison, I think it's like, 10 HP every time. I can't remember how often, Fiel posted the data once.

Yeah, I remember seeing it some time before. I even thought Mushmom healed itself while I damaged it, once... Like if it healed 1% on a second I was looting stuff, and not doing it anymore... Since the next hit was its doom :p

I am sorry if this offends anyone:f4:!

Oh, man, this made my day... I can't find any possible way for that to be offensive to ANYONE. XD

Pianus is different, it has a skill that heals itself. Although I'm not sure if it does this while nobody's on the map.

I actually like finishing them off for some reason. Easy exp (though in small amounts) never hurts and they die in one hit, lols.

But on topic, I never noticed stuff like this before. I would lol if some noob tries killing mushmom and hits like 10% of the time and everytime he finally lands a hit, by the time the next hit gets in there that actually its, its at full hp again xD

I knew actual bosses did, not anything else. Not like it matters, but still.

Interesting... I know NORMAL monsters don't have that regeneration thing because of having a 9x FP and doing that at squids where I..
Mist the map and afk ^_^

For the most part, people kill them .... not stop and wait till it heals. lol

Nice find though. :x

To confirm it does this:
http://www.southperry.net/database/Mob/6130101.img/index.html

info.hpRecovery 100
info.mpRecovery 5

Mushmom heals 100 hp and 5 mp every who knows how long.

Some normal monsters heal hp/mp too. (http://www.southperry.net/database/Mob/9300024.img/index.html)
Most only heal MP, though. (http://www.southperry.net/database/Mob/5130104.img/index.html)
And of course, there's stuff that doesn't heal anything. (http://www.southperry.net/database/Mob/9300155.img/index.html)
