Alright, as the title suggests, what's the most recent anime you guys have picked up and started to watch? Just kinda of interested in what others are watching. =P

Anyways, I just picked up Soul Eater. It's extremely quirky. The animation is really nice, and the colors are rich. The Story is a little bleh, but the action kinda makes up for it. Besides that, I watched the first episode of Denno Coil only because Dattebayo subbed it. It's pretty good, definitely not actiony, but it's nice for a change. I hope the sub some more episodes. =/

I'm waiting for more Koihime Musou episodes to come out. Today I've started watching Shugo Chara, which totally brings me back to the Sailor Moon days. xD

Currently airing animes/ones groups are finishing up [coughKaibacough] should be posted in the other thread, ne?

Sorry, that made me lol. Ureshii subbed it and they're a pretty good group. I haven't watched Denno Coil yet, but I heard it was like Serial Experiments Lain, so it's worth a look.

I just finished Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~ and I'm surprised that I didn't hate it, seeing as I hated Strawberry Panic, the apparent queen of all yuri animes. Guy gets turned into a girl after being run over by an alien spaceship after confessing to the girl he likes, to give you some info on this one. But to be honest, the main reason I picked this up was because Ueda Kana, Horie Yui, and Tamura Yukari were the lead characters.
I know a few guys that see other guys with blurred faces, too.... Ahaha~

Let's see, watching Otogi-jushi Akazukin, typical mahou shoujo with Tamura Yukari and Hiyama Nobuyuki as leads, so that's always nice.

Finally catching up with ARIA the Origination. Very underrated series in my opinion, as is Sketchbook ~full color's~, but not everyone loves slice of life animus.

PS:
Shugo Chara! is cute, especially the Fate clone that's voiced by Mizuki Nana that sings. The new single from the episode in the late 30s, Black Diamond, also just came out yesterday. And I'm still emoing over Nadeshiko. ;-;

AIR, Darker than BLACK, Azumanga Daioh, Chobits, Soul Eater, Now and Then Here and There, and Kashimashi have all been picked up within the last week or so.
Watched AIR a long time ago (too long ago to remember), halfway through Chobits, 10-ish on Soul Eater, and just started NTHT/DtB/Azu/Kashi. Yay for abbreviations, and Darker than BLACK is freakishly stubborn at not being on streaming sites (yayay 3-day torrent :f4:).

Oh, and I read about Maria Holic on ann and when that starts airing I am so going to watch it. As long as it doesn't fall into the fanservice trap like most, I think I'll like it xD

And Rosario to Vampire 2 is lulz with stupid inconsistent bat.

I picked up Rurouni Kenshin a month ago after I dropped Blood +. It's pretty good so far, I'm on episode 58; planning to read the manga after I finish my exams and the series.

I love that series! Never got passed the 5th volume though.

ON TOPIC: I would suggest Kaiba to anyone thats into some seriously weird crap. COnfusing as hell but raps everything up nicely in 12 episodes.

Chaos;head is the most recent one. After the anime came out, I got the VN and it's way better.

I started watching Kannagi and Soul eater kind of recently. I watched Kannagi after the 3rd episode was released, and I started watching Soul Eater at about episode 18.

I just picked up Kanon - so far it is ok but fails in comparison to Clannad but I'll see how it turns out.

I am also thinking about picking up Soul Eater but I am kind of skeptical about picking it up :x.

I watched Kanon (2006) first. Makes you appreciate Clannad more. Other direction makes you feel like a downgrade, but try not to let it influence your view on Kanon. Oh and don't watch Kanon... watch Kanon 2006... same basic storyline.. EPICLY better (Basically a remake). At least in this troper's opinion.

My recently finished anime:

Note:All of these anime are free to watch. The first handful of links are from crunchyroll.com. At most you just have to make a free account there. If you guys are a bit iffy about that I'll gladly make a dummy account for any Southperry members and have the username and password posted here. Free accounts simply have to deal with like... a 12 second advertisement at the beginning of the video... seriously not that big of a deal.

The last few links are from Anilinkz.com. No need to sign up there. There's tons of anime there. Without further ado, my recommends (in no particular order):

Tower Of Druaga (http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/The_Tower_of_DRUAGA_-the_Aegis_of_URUK-)

First episode is a joke episode, pay no mind to its weirdness. This anime is like .. uh... an anime of what would be an interesting MMO. In fact, I heard they actually DO have a game of this anime. Don't let that fact deter you from watching this though (it might to some). I still liked its style. Once again, first episode = joke episode. The rest of the anime isn't as... well you'll see if you watch it.

TL;DR: Wait at least until episode 5 to say you don't like it.

Natsume Yujincho (http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Natsume_Yujincho)

THIS is how anime is supposed to be done. Touching stories throughout the series. I can't possibly tell you guys how much I liked this anime.

~~~~
Otogi-Jushi Akazukin (TV) (http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Fairy_Musketeers)
Or Fairy Musketeers (Don't ask). Like my recommendation with Tower of Druaga, PLEASE stick around for a few episodes. In all honesty, I HATE little kids. And yet still, I really liked watching this anime which has nothing BUT them. Magical battles are a plenty.
To Aru Majutsu no Index (http://www.anilinkz.com/to-aru-majutsu-no-index/)
Translated: About a certain magical Index.
Another example about how anime should be done. I have no doubts that I will be watching this anime again. Hands down excellence in magical-ish battles. Interesting plot developments, awesome characters and a VERY diverse cast of characters personality-wise.
~~~~

Nanatsuiro Drops (http://www.anilinkz.com/nanatsuiro-drops/)

I'm spotting a certain magical coincidence in all of this anime :f3: Also, since I've seen people on other forums do this... PLEASE oh pretty please, do NOT call this a Card Captor Sakura rip off and choose not to watch it. I can assure you that this anime deserves much more credit than that.

Granted the main character's voice is a bit on the squeaky side, which made me want to discard that anime instantly. However, I decided to see it through to the end and I never regretted that decision.

~~~~
Sekirei (http://www.anilinkz.com/sekirei/)
All I can say is... make season 2 already :hothead:
Magical Battles meets Harem Comedy for excellent results. Yes, I believe that's the easiest way to describe this anime.
~~~~

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (http://www.anilinkz.com/higurashi-no-naku-koro-ni/)

Translated: When They Cry. <--- I think... "They" referring to cicadas.

As big of a MUST-watch anime as... um... any anime you can think of. Both seasons and the OVA are available there. Page 2 has the first episode of the first season.

Higurashi no naku Koro ni Kai is the 2nd season.

~~~~
Wow that ended up being more than I thought I was gonna type. That's it for now. I still have my text file filled with 50+ anime that I would want to recommend people watch.
...
Hmm, I wonder if I should make a thread with descriptions and links to all of the anime I've ever watched. If anyone's interested, lemme know and I might just go for it. It'll take forever though since as you see above, I like to give at least a little bit of an explanation to each anime. Laters~
P.S. Imagine Firefox shutting itself off right before I hit the submit button. Couldn't get that dam thought out of my head.
gtfo of here then. These are just links for people who don't feel like downloading a ton of anime onto their computer.
Also, yes crunchyroll is a pain like that. Anilinkz.com on the other hand shouldn't be an issue. You should be able to watch all of those anime there.
