Ludibrium PQ
Carneval Party Quest
North Desert Road 1 (or the map before it] - Meerkat
North Desert Road 2 - Kiyo
Comments: Ludibrium Party Quest is restricted to level 35 and above players. However, a condition that the game did not mention is that players under level 40 will be hated against by players higher than level 40 because those under level 40 will have a hard time being of any use in the party quest.

Kiyos are good from 35-45

Levels: 40-50

Possible Training Grounds:

Ludibrium: Helios Tower <99th Floor>: Retz
Hidden Street: Purple Plains 1: Sakura Cellion $

Aqua Road: The Dangerous Cave: Flyeye
Ludibrium PQ
Carneval Party Quest
Comments: Ludibrium Party Quest yeilds fast experience gain in the low to mid 40's. It slows by late 40's. Also, Lusters aren't good money. But their sun pieces are since they can be exchanged for a chance to get 60% scroll for cape INT. So exchange them or sell them to others.

Levels: 50-60

Possible Training Grounds:

Warning Street: Dangerous Croco I, II: Slime, Jr. Necki, Ligator, Croco
Orbis: Cloud Park V: Lunar Pixie, Luster Pixie

Masteria: Mountain Cliffs, Highlands: Gryphon
Mu Lung: Practice Field: Beginner: Straw Target Dummy
Orbis Party Quest
Ludibrium Maze Party Quest
Comments: Jr yetis are that good for money. You can pick up leather, sell their skins but their money really comes from the chance to get a 60% glove for ATT dropping.

Dummies in Mu Lung looks like they will be full in crowded servers because they look as good as the old zombies' map. lern2party. The spawn is even more insane in a party, and it looks like it can fit up to 3 people. Don't be a jerk and bust "ccpls" on everyone you see.

Levels: 60-70

Possible Training Grounds:

Haunted House: Vanity Room [3]: Hoodoo, Voodoo $ $
El Nath: Forest of Dead Trees I, II, III, IV: Coolie Zombie $

Zipangu: Vanished Village: Samiho, Water Goblin
Mu Lung: Practice Field: Beginner: Straw Target Dummy
Destroyed Dragon Nest:Jr. Newties*
Encounter with the Buddha: Dreamy Ghost (or Himes)*
Comments: Dummies in Mu Lung looks like they will be full in crowded servers because they look as good as the old zombies' map. lern2party. The spawn is even more insane in a party, and it looks like it can fit up to 3 people. Don't be a jerk and bust "ccpls" on everyone you see.

*Jr. Newties has a lot of competition from higher level people, especially mage types. So expect... the competition.
*You can leech Himes with Avenger, and a DK/Priest party if you have the connections. It is extremely good experience to the point you can gain at least a level every hour
very easily. However, it is pot consuming, and requires you to know some people.

You can safely train there if you stand on the left platform in the middle section and just snipe the Jr. Newties.

Death teddies are for the upper level 70's. Most preferably a hermit with a level 21 or higher Shadow Partner.

Levels: 80-90

Possible Training Grounds:

Leafre: Griffey Forest: Black Kentaurus, Red Kentaurus $
Aqua Road: Dangerous Sea Gorge I: Squid, Risell Squid $
Ludibrium: Forgotten Path of Time <3>: Death Teddy $
Ludibrium: Ludibrium: Warped Path of Time <4>: Spirit Viking $ $
Meso Gears: Wolf Spider Cavern: Wolf Spider $
Leafre: Destroyed Dragon's Nest: Jr. Newties
Comments: If you can find an holy symbol slave priest, party them along with a hyperbody mule dragon knight, and grind it out at various places. Its faster than solo.

Watch out for Griffey spawning if training on the Griffey's map. Pretend you're practicing training on himes. A decent experience map with a dangerous spawning any second.

For Jr.Newties, you kill the first one or two on the middle platform using the snipe spot.

Levels: 90-100

Possible Training Grounds:

Zipangu: Armory: Bains
Leafre: Griffey Forest: Black Kentaurus, Red Kentaurus
Aqua Road: Dangerous Sea Gorge I: Squid, Risell Squid, Goby
Aqua Road: Dangerous Sea Gorge II: Squid, Risell Squid
Ludibrium: Ludibrium: Warped Path of Time <4>: Spirit Viking $
Meso Gears: Wolf Spider Cavern: Wolf Spider $
Leafre: Destroyed Dragon's Nest: Jr. Newties
Comments: Solo only if you have to. If parties are available, join it or invite people.

Watch out for Griffey spawning if training on the Griffey's map. Pretend you're practicing training on himes. A decent experience map with a dangerous spawning any second.

For Jr.Newties, you kill the first one or two on the middle platform using the snipe spot.

Levels: 100-110

Possible Training Grounds:

Zipangu: Armory: Bains
Leafre: Cross Road: Birk, Dual Birk $
Aqua Road: Dangerous Sea Gorge II: Squid, Risell Squid
Aqua Road: Deep Sea Gorge II: Goby, Bone Fish
Ludibrium: Ludibrium: Warped Path of Time <4>: Spirit Viking $
Hidden Street: Forbidden Time: Grim Phantom Watch
Zipangu: Encounter with the Buddha: Dreamy Ghost
Leafre: Destroyed Dragon's Nest: Jr. Newties
Comments: Solo only if you have to. If parties are available, join it or invite people.

Spirit Vikings aren't good money. They just mock you for might dropping ilbis.

For Jr.Newties, you kill the first one or two on the middle platform using the snipe spot.

Levels: 110-120

Possible Training Grounds:

Zipangu: Armory: Bains.
Aqua Road: Dangerous Sea Gorge II: Squid, Risell Squid
Aqua Road: Deep Sea Gorge II: Goby, Bone Fish
Ludibrium: Ludibrium: Warped Path of Time <4>: Spirit Viking $
Hidden Street: Forbidden Time: Grim Phantom Watch
Zipangu: Encounter with the Buddha: Dreamy Ghost
Leafre: Destroyed Dragon's Nest: Jr. Newties, Nest Golems
Comments: Solo only if you have to. If parties are available, join it or invite people.

For Destroyed Dragon's Nest, hermits/NL usually attack from a popular sniping spot located midleft of the map.

Levels: 120-130

Possible Training Grounds:

Leafre: Canyon : West Road: Dark Wyvern
Leafre: Entrance to Dragon Nest: Dark Wyvern
Leafre: The Dragon Nest Left Behind: Skelegons, Skelosaurus

Aqua Road: The Dangerous Cave: Flyeye $
Ludibrium: Helios Tower <99th Floor>: Retz
Zipangu: A Night in the Forest: Paper Lantern Ghost, Night Fox
Carneval Party Quest

Comments: Ludibrium Party Quest Slows down by late 40’s. Jr Cellions are decent but not the best. Curse eyes are good if they can be kill in 1 hit. Towards the late 40’s, Retz become an easier playground. But many people at Retz may not be as nice as other places. If Retz are full, expect to have your brains KS’d out if you’re too low level or weak.

Levels: 50-60
Possible Training Grounds:

El Nath: Watch Out for Icy Path I: Jr. Yeti $
Tree Dungeon, Monkey Forest I: Zombie Lupin, Curse Eye

Mu Lung: Practice Field: Beginner: Straw Target Dummy

Comments: The listed places are only good if you can kill the monsters in those places in 2 hits or under.

There’s two things about gobies every level 70-80 Chief Bandit must know:

In order to train there, you must have at least a level 1 Meso Guard and a level 1 Mesos Explosion. You will be using Mesos Explosion to train there.
If you are in a somewhat crowded server, everybody above level 100 will hate you for being there, hogging a Goby map and will KS your brains out until you leave.

Levels: 80-90
Possible Training Grounds:

Leafre: The Area of Red Kentaurus Red Kentaurus $
Leafre: The Area of Black Kentaurus Black Kentaurus $
Leafre: Battlefield of Fire and Darkness Red Kentaurus, Black Kentaurus $
Leafre: The Area of Blue Kentaurus: Blue Kentaurus $
Ludibrium: Forgotten Path of Time <3>: Death Teddy $
Aqua Road: Deep Sea Gorge II: Goby % $
Hidden Street: The Forest of Golem: Mixed Golem, Dark Stone Golem $ %
Meso Gears: Wolf Spider Cavern: Wolf Spider $%%

Comments: People hated you at Goby 10 levels ago, they’ll probably still hate you now unless you join a party with them.

Wolf spiders are fast experience but the post cost is high and like vikings were for hermits they mock you with a chance for ilbis

Levels: 90-100
Possible Training Grounds:

Leafre: The Area of Red Kentaurus Red Kentaurus $
Leafre: The Area of Black Kentaurus Black Kentaurus $

Leafre: Battlefield of Fire and Darkness Red Kentaurus, Black Kentaurus
Leafre: The Area of Blue Kentaurus: Blue Kentaurus
Aqua Road: Dangerous Sea Gorge I: Squid, Risell Squid
Hidden Street: Forbidden Time: Grim Phantom Watch $
Ludibrium: Warped Path of Time <4>: Spirit Viking $
Aqua Road: Deep Sea Gorge II: Goby $
Zipangu: Encounter with the Buddha: Dreamy Ghost $ %

Comments: If you want to train at Gobies, its smarter to party since you’ll probably have a priest. Share the map with other players. Sharing doesn’t have to be caring but at least it’ll get you faster experience.

For dreamy ghosts, a bandit would need a lot of money and its not bad to have a priest friend either. Also need max Band of Thieves.

Levels: 110-120
Possible Training Grounds:

Zipangu: Armory: Bains
Leafre: Dragon Forest III: Brexton, Dark Cornian $
Aqua Road: Dangerous Sea Gorge II: Squid, Risell Squid
Hidden Street: Forbidden Time: Grim Phantom Watch $

Thank you happyrock for the lovely picture/training guide for Dragon Forest III.

You seem to have forgotten to add in the colors that you did have on the legend. Either that or you're still working on that part o.o

Yeah, working on that now. Just finished Assassin/Hermits/Night Lords.

Its like 4:30 in the morning here and my insomnia is starting to wear off. Ill finish the rest later, cause there is A LOT left to make it at least look decent.

Im hoping you asked for permission before just jacking the thread off SW and posting here (or are you the one running the SW one?). Regardless of what people's opinion on SW is, its good to respect the author of the thread and get permission from the author in question before posting his material elsewhere. I wouldnt like it if someone stole my work like that >_>

The original maker of the thread just stopped updating the thread, and I don't think even uses Sleepywood anymore. Hell, they had to make a completely new thread with it and have someone else take over and update it.

Hmmm, you're right. Butterfli doesnt run the thread anymore (oh right, he had some problems with adura and kinda got "dismissed") so you do have a point. That being said, I would say that its best to ask the people on SW who've written useful threads for permission before just moving their threads over if possible...

Just curious, but have you taken a look at my archer where to train reference? I purposely chose a different format that requires a lot more work that has a lot of positive feedback and is perhaps easier to navigate and look at.

What you have is very decent and works already but perhaps a new format is worth considering (so the folks at SW cant say that you/we plagerized them)

Problem is that I know little to nothing about Hermits. They're way to different from each other until like endgame training places. It would make doing make doing this very much complicated for me. That and I plan to start working on a Detailed Bandit/CB/Shadower Guide starting Sunday.

well, I dont think he'd care but Butterfli is now a member of this forum (Yay!) so you can ask him for permission to use his info and whatnot now, lols (He was the original starter of the thread I think?). I dont think he minds but Im just saying...

I "stopped" updating it because there were no new places coming out. The last few patches have been mostly about upgrading the game and adding new features rather then new places to train.

Besides, people just PQ from level 10 to 70 now. People don't even Ludi PQ anymore than that's still good exp to level 50.

And I got banned because Adura read one of my PMs that I sent to my gf and didn't like what the content said even though it was a joke.

I made one for warriors too but at the time, I was doing warriors, thieves, and magicians. I gave up on the warriors' first because I don't know much about them. Then EchoFaith took over the magicians' for me. Then someone from the warriors' hunting grounds asked to take over the warriors' training guide and so they did that. I don't know what happened to that one though.

So I've been struggling to get any fast exp solo with my CB lately...
Currently level 93, dexless Asura user. I've been to Kentauruses and Wolf Spiders for the last few levels for money and to get away from Gobies. I'm excited to try out Himes at 95, preferably with my bishop friend and another cb friend...

Anybody have any ideas for what would be faster than Blue Kents (preferably besides Gobies, thought it seems that those might be it...perhaps this post is futile, but if I at least try then I'll feel better =P)?

Shippo the Fox
2008-07-06, 08:52 PM
In all do honesty, Kents is your best bet until Himes. Its Kents or Gobies really. That or you can do the Armory in Zipangu, but only if you can take on the Gunboss.

So early 7x hermits have no training options aside from Hoodoo/Voodoo and FoG, huh? That makes me a little sad, but I suppose 70-80 earned the title "Hell Levels" for a reason..

Out of my own experience as a chief bandit, I gotta say that Kents are pretty slow experience after Lv10X.

Squids or Jr. Newties however are pretty good starting Lv10X. Specially Jr. Newties as Assaulter can stun them and the Nest Golems's body is good and safe enough for you to hit a clean assaulter and stun it as well.

Voodoos are good once you can 2hit them all the way till Lv8X, then Gobis is your best bet through Lv8X and Lv9X.

but IMO the superior option will always be Himes with a Priest/Bishop.

to Deity: Yeah sadly Lv9X doesn't leaves much outside of Gobis seeing how solo'ing in Ludi costs tons in pots. How about Red Turtle Dragons? I'd recommend Cornians but you can't get a clean assaulter out of them.

Nightmares in teh Mansion = godly for level 40-50.

30-40 = CPQ
40 - 50 = Nightmares and CPQ
50 - 60 = STDs and LMPQ/Gryphons
60 - 70 = Voodoooooooooooos!/STDs

Requesting this thread to be stickied. Very useful.

I don't know if this is still being updated, but if it is the following should probably be removed.

If you are in a somewhat crowded server, everybody above level 100 will hate you for being there, hogging a Goby map and will KS your brains out until you leave.

I've been bombing in scania for ~15 levels and I've had one person bother me in that time period.

I am extremely tempted to advertise my bandit training guide here. Unfortunately, that is against the rules of this site. >_>

Eh, what the hell. There are a few training spots in my guide that you haven't added anyways: http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2723

You know, i saw this when Butterfli was updating, i saw it when random person took over on SW, and i see it now. And all I can ever think to say is it really isnt detailed enough. I mean, sure it tells you what training areas are "good" percent, but even in some levels it has multiple of those. And the "good" money things are the same.

I know it varies from person to person, how good they are with character, how much talking they do while training, etc, but i'd still like to see some rough estimates for %/hour up there, or some way where people looking at this guide will be able to figure out which places are BEST exp, BEST money, if one is awesome exp, but is a pot drainer, how much you can expect to burn there (w/o atk pots included, since some people dont use those) if a place earns money but isnt good exp, how much exp/hour you are sacrificing to earn how much money/hour. Whether the $/hour is dependent on drops, either NPC or FMable, or whether thats straight mesos.

Again i know this would be a huge task, and i know im too lazy to do it myself, i just think it would keep people from asking the same friggin questions over and over again. Of course this would be rough %/hour of the average player, not best exp/hour of someone appling, with friggin 60atk skanda and hs mule, just focused entirely on grinding. And to make things simpler, just make it rough %/hour w/o 2x, rough $/hour(only go for NPC drops and pure mesos, then tell what rare drops those monsters have, because FM depends on server)

IDK if you'd be willing to do that, or if you'd need a heck of a lot of feedback. But i have friends who are starting fresh, and i dont remember what a good %/hour is anywhere at low levels, so i dont know if they getting good exp, or whether other places would offer better exp.

Also, maybe put down which maps are REALLY crowded or empty, on average server. Like V/Hoodoos are crowded, DTs/Squids arent, newties are, hime are, WS are, etc so people know which maps are harder to get, and if they on a busy server like scania, they might just not even try those maps, just go to slightly worse exp, but less crowded map.

There are two maps in CWK that I think should be added to the list of training spots (for hermits at least, I don't know how good they would be for CBs.)

The first is Crimsonwood Mountain: Lower Ascent. It has a great spawn of Windraiders and Stormbreakers (mostly Windraiders) and I have been getting around 20% an hour solo with a level 86 dexless hermit, without 2XP. It would probably be good for 75-90.

The other is Crimsonwood Mountain: Cavern of Pain. It's the map that has Jack Barricade in it, and it also has Windraiders and Stormbreakers (mostly Stormbreakers.) It's a smaller map, but I get around the same % per hour as I do in Lower Ascent. I'd probably recommend it for 80-90 (maybe 80-100?) since there are more Stormbreakers the 7x hermits might not be able to kill them as fast.

I think these two maps are a viable alternative to newties and WS, since CWK is largely deserted and there's nobody around to KS you, whereas KSing runs rampant at the aforementioned training spots. Plus, you can farm badges for Joko's exchange quest and make some meso that way. (Stormbreakers don't drop meso at all. :f3:)

Night Lords shouldn't go to Skelegons until around level 140+, because they can't survive (unless they've HP washed).

Im hoping you asked for permission before just jacking the thread off SW and posting here (or are you the one running the SW one?). Regardless of what people's opinion on SW is, its good to respect the author of the thread and get permission from the author in question before posting his material elsewhere. I wouldnt like it if someone stole my work like that >_>
Well I'm in charge of the current one on s/w and I don't mind it being here. I would have put it here myself when I first signed up but I thought butterfli would do it since it was originally his.

Well I don't think Shippo should've taken out all the disclaimer crap but since I'm not monitoring it anymore, eh. Before I was banned on sw, I wasn't updating that much since 1) I stopped my hermit and 2) lost interest in maple. Someone who'd keep a constant update would be nice since this one hasn't been touched since July.

Regarding chief bandits, from level 72 (meso explosion+gaurd)-level 10x, the best exp your gonna get grining (aside from leeching maybe) if himing with a priest. bombing himes basically kills 12/13 of the monsters on the map instantly, every mob. thats 38400 exp per mob=pro exp. After that, bombing skelegons isnt that bad solo if you have 6 hit BoT, and after that, bombing gobis is alright. If you do himes/gobis the right way, you can break even/gain money while bombing (although sadly you need a pet to loot monster drops, otherwise its easily just to blow up the mesos monsters drop), and I doubt meleeing can be any faster at LEAST until 10x.

Another great alternative for CBs who max Thieves first is Windraiders from 75-high 80's. From the high 80-120 Typhons are good and efficient EXP, especially when you become adept at jumping platforms and mobbing;for 3200 EXP and only 200+ bump damage with meso guard, I'd say it's a steal.

I second that Typhons are awesome EXP. Basilmarket chief bandits have pretty much gone ballistic over how good they think typhons are. I can make 25%-30%/hour there, and I don't even lose buckets of money.
