Do you believe NEXON actually gives refunds?
Yes. They DO give refunds, but ONLY in RARE situations, like this one.
Today I tried to charge Nexon Cash, and in the start everything went fine.
BUT, right when I clicked "Submit" in the last step to charge Nexon Cash, here comes an error page: http://www.nexon.net/errorpage.html
Sadly, I didn't get my Nexon Cash. Even MORE sadly, I actually lost my 10$. They were taken off my PayPal account, and I didn't get any Nexon Cash because of that website error. Onoz NEXUN scamed me!!11one
No. They're pretty fast with these charging problems, I must say. I just got refunded after a few hours (2-3).
Obviously I had to make a post in the forums to let NEXON know about this problem, but luckily -Hime- read it after some hours, and resolved the problem.

Here's the screenshot proof of the refund. I censored all the other e-mails for privacy reasons. Everything else is in italian, so you won't probably understand.

Amazed, I'd say. I really wouldn't have expected NEXON to be so fast in resolving this issue. When I saw that I did lose money without actually getting Nexon Cash because of that problem, I thought: OH NO! Now I'll have to wait MONTHS to have this issue resolved.. <_<
But.. looks like I wrongly thought.
Is NEXON's support really improving?

It is improving. Despite Nexon not being able to help with my problem, the response I received was quick and not automated. :D

Although this is a different case than what we have been seeing before. Clearly, they took money from your Paypal account without giving you anything, and that could land them in trouble with Paypal or the autorities. This isn't the same as when people complain that their 2x exp cards are losing value due to server checks or w/e.

Well, yeah, they said they won't refund Nexon Cash and Nexon Cash Items, even if they lose value with Server Checks.
But if they take money from a customer without giving Nexon Cash, that's refundable, because if they wouldn't refund, they could get in troubles, as Yoorah said.

I had a similar experience about a year ago, except I had attempted to charge 20 times instead of once before checking to see what went wrong, it took 2 months to resolve, I ended up having a character banned for NX fraud for about 4 months and I had to get the refund by force.
Wow. Who knew?

Wow. I'm very sorry for you.
Luckily, that didn't happen to me. I'd prefer to gift 10$ to NEXON instead of getting my character banned for getting the refund by force.

Man, if CK turns out to be awesome, I'm going to love Nexon.
Hopefully, this means people will stop bashing NEXON for providing a game they never turn off.

they refunded my brother's offrank character $10 for a paypal error, and this was years ago.
So yeah, they were never messing around with this sort of thing.

Well of course. Nothing surprising about refunding NX in an actual case where one would have to refund money. Believe it or not, server problems and your time management don't count as a valid refund excuse. Technical errors of the cash system and other such problems do.

My sister got refunded too after a world transfer ticket gone wrong, but that happened back in January and she was refunded early last week. <_<; It's a long time to wait but... miracles do happen I guess.

It's wonderful that you got refunded, but please do not assume that Nexon refunding you in this one instance means they are anywhere near as quick to refund other people in other instances. In fact, most people who lose money in Maple do it because Nexon is incompetent.
A large site I go on is coded so each trade and gift can be traced by the top tier moderators. If you are hacked or scammed on that site, the moderators will use their tools to adjudicate the situation, (that is, determine whether you've been hacked or scammed,) track your items to the accounts where they've been placed, return them to you, and permanently ban the person who scammed or hacked you. However, Nexon has not coded their trades in this manner, and does not compensate the victims of hackings or scammings. They claim this is because they have no way to tell that you did not give the items of your own free will. In reality, they could easily code their trades so they're titled, ("I am trading my C. Ilbies for 110 mil," for example,) and so the trades are tracked, (Nexon knows who got the C. Ilbi, and who got the 110 mil.) Honestly, if your 40 luk katinas and 12 C. Ilbies are "traded" to another person one day for nothing, (hacking,) or if you traded your Crystal Ilbies to another person for 12 million in FM (scamming,) and you contact Nexon, it's safe to say a hacking or scamming has occured. People losing money from such activity do not lose 10 dollars, they can lose more like 600 or 800. Nexon does not code against hacking and scamming simply because they don't give a shit about their players and because they feel that hacking and scamming do not sufficiently cut into their profits for them to program code against these things.

That's pretty cool, actually. I never would expect Nexon to give a refund no matter what. But now I know they do for certain reasons. Huzzah for improving customer support :D

Are you crazy Quantact? I can't even start to imagine the ENORMOUS amount of resouces that would take to track every single players trades.
They basically have an electronic trade trail going for each person. You can see your own trades, and so can the top-tier mod. They can't check every trade, but if someone makes a report and claims that you hacked me on 2nd Aug 2008, the relevant trades will be checked, and the items will be tracked to where they have been placed. Unless a report is filed and a mod's attention is pointed to a particular player as a scammer or hacker, his trades will never be checked.
I am not making this up. It's what they actually do on that site... along with a lot of other stuff. They ahve a better GM system than Nexon, simply because there's more of a staff and they're more easily accessible.
Nexon are only giving money back because they'r already making thousands of $$$$$$$$ from 13 year olds buying super megaphones.
