View Full Version : Shumi's 3rd Jump Quest can't be completed
Issue/Problem/Bug: Upon clicking the Chest to complete the PQ it gives you a message saying "Someone has taken the item already." I've done this three times already, and once right after a server check so it's obviously not a mistake on my part. Changing channels just warps you back to Kerning so it's a wasted effort each time it happens.

Odd. It worked fine for me and my friend. We each got it our first try.
...what?
Do you remember what channel you were on?

I typically use 16 lately, and I think he uses 11 mainly.

I just got it about 10 seconds ago...
Worked for me.
Continue rubbing it in. I love it.

This worked for me on 5 different characters.
Okay then. Since you're so MASTERFUL IN THE ART OF JUMP QUESTING.
WHY DOESN'T IT WORK FOR ME?

No idea. I don't think it's the channel because I did it on a different channel each time.
Try to forfit and retake the quest?

I got that same message, on my Paladin. I had to relog to escape cause it doesn't give you any exit option -_-

...Maybe it's Scania with the problem? :f6:

I had a similar "problem" as this, though kinda not:
1. I did Shumi's first JQ on my KoC and went up the first JQ to kill bubblings to look for the bubbling doll (lolfail, I didnt know you just had to click on a garbage can) while doing Shumi's quest.
2. I got the shumi quest item without difficulty after killing a bunch of bubblings, not finding the doll (duh) and giving up.
3. I FINALLY figured out how to do the quest, so a week later, I went in and did the JQ again to get there to hunt the 100 dolls or whatever it was (dont quite remember...but I went in cause its less crowded).
4. After collecting everything, when I clicked on the box, it had the message you got.
In regards to my situation:
1. This happened on my KoC. Perhaps the quest doesnt exactly work for KoC's? Try it on your main or something.
2. It only didnt work AFTER I finished the quest, leading me to believe I just couldnt get the ores (perhaps a mechanism for anti-ore hacking?)...however, that doesnt seem to be the case as according to what I read of your account, you couldnt get it the first time.
3. As someone above suggested, Scania? I never thought of that, but it looks that way maybe.

I think it's like the NPC shops running out of stock thing. The NPC probably resets every 30 minutes or so, just try another channel (again).

I remember getting this message fairly soon after they nerfed the Sleepwood JQ to be once a day.
I was ticked too cuz B3 is hard for me and I wanted them ores.
I think they were trying to prevent ore-farmers... but having no reward after the quest seems like a lame way to do it.

Read the thread. I did this JQ right after a SC. There's no way it can "run out."

I believe you can get that error if you are on the wrong part of shumi's jq, aka part 1/2 but skipped ahead, a friend did the same, and completed it but didn't get the reward.

It's part of anti-orebot system. You can only get jump quest reward once per day. But it's weird how you cannot escape o_O

But I only did it once on my Paladin (I was just trying to kill the JQ Stirges) so I never got any reward at all.

Blah blah blah. People still not reading the thread.

Did you start to attempt any other jump quest at all or leave then go back in? Because that's indeed the once-a-day message.

Hmm, that's weird then. It's not supposed to be like that.
To me it sounds like the once-a-day system is working wrongly. Because this is INDEED the anti-orebot system.

Nope. Hence why I said I did it right after a 5 hour server check.
Small update: I just did the JQ for my FOURTH time. It has been FIVE days since I've been on my Dawn Warrior.

Not truly understand. Did you actually complete the quest successfully 3 times already, or did they all fail?
I remember having the same issue somewhat. I did Part 3 without doing Part 2. The end resulted as you posted. I went back and did Part 2, and then it actually worked!
Have you done Part 1 and 2?
:ohno:
