Where's the defense buff in summon sprite?

I checked, it's not passive nor is it active. But in the data it shows both pdd and mdd. So how does sprite exactly work and where are the buffs?

Yeah, it doesn't work. My guess is that because it's a summon, not an enchantment, the defense is never applied, since it technically is never enchanted on your character.
