Yeah, I'm making a lot of these threads. :glitter: NBA will be discussed here. Nothing of interest happening today, most big free agents have already moved.

Not a lot of basketball fans here?
Anyway, I'm pretty disappointed by how the Mavericks are playing. They're breaking down every 4th quarter. I think it's because they don't have a second threat that can take over when Nowitzki gets hounded and loses his touch. Howard continue to be inconsistent and Terry, as cool as he is, just doesn't command the court even when he's shooting well. And Jason Kidd continues to suck. Half the time, all I see him do is leave Dampier with the ball at the top of the key. His threes are better this year, but Harris can do that too, while being quicker and much better at defense. Plus, the bench is unproductive except for Bass and Green, which isn't enough.
Other teams: I'm surprised the Nets and Knicks are doing as well as they are. And I can't believe Nash got suspended for trying to hold Barnes and Alston back. He ran over, got pushed down by McGrady (who really had no reason for doing so; he should be trying to stop the problem, not start one), had his arm pulled at by Alston, and get suspended? Shaq stepping in was pretty funny though.
I expect a Celtics-Lakers rematch in the Finals.

Clippers better bring some a-game >_>
Baron Davis was supposed to give us a good shock, he's not making many baskets. :hothead:

Go Mavericks! Finally got it done late in the game and a well-deserved win. All the more awesome since the Knicks' jumpshots were almost lights out for most of the game.

Anyone know what "BA" stands for in the Boxscore?
I know what all the others mean but I've never seen the "BA" column until this season.

From wiki answers googled: "A BA in basketball is a blocked attempt. In other words, it is a shot that the player attempts that is subsequently blocked." I'm surprised that it actually meant that. I thought of it but I didn't think they would actually keep that statistic.
Now that I can actually not double post:
Pretty interesting game with Magic @ Lakers. I winced at how ugly some of Kobe's shots ended up in the 4th quarter, but I guess even he can't be clutch all the time. Kudos to Nelson for taking that clutch role and winning the game.
Man, the Mavericks keep digging themselves in deep deficits lately. It's pretty impressive how they can keep rallying in the 2nd half to make most of the games close, but they're losing and it's not a healthy method even when they win.
