Most of us know that a pure dex build is the best build for Islanders but has anyone ever thought about a Dex Beginner?(off-island)

Benefits:
What are the possible benefits of a dex Beginner you may wonder?
I believe their stable damage will give you a better clue where to train, how to train, and what you expect.
There is also the great accuracy that will come with having a lot of dex. This means you can hit a high level monster, run, and let your friend/s kill it off.
Higher accuracy and avoidability.

Obviously the great benefit would be the attack and run technique will make leveling faster.

Builds:
Lets pretend you have a level 71 beginner, which is pretty simple to get leveling the easy way by PQing. Lets compare two different builds, an average beginner build which is leaving Luk/Int at 4, leaving dex around 60, and putting the rest on str. At level 71 your build would look like this:
Average
Strength: 298
Dexterity: 60
Intelligence: 4
Luck: 4
A pure dex build would look like this:
Dex
Strength: 4
Dexterity: 354
Intelligence: 4
Luck: 4
The Weapons
I will be comparing three weapons here. A Maple Snowboard, an Emergency Rescue Tube, and a Green Ski. These weapons will be scrolled with 7/7 60% scrolls working. Even though I am sure most people can scroll better than that.

http://i26.tinypic.com/2rhb7kp.gifGreen Ski:
Level: 55
Attack: 92
+Strength: 9
+Dex: 2
Speed: Normal

http://i29.tinypic.com/15sa1pe.gif Emergency Rescue Tube:
Level: 60
Attack: 89
+HP: 150
Speed: Fast

http://i31.tinypic.com/2jaavqe.gifMaple Snowboard:
Level: 70
Attack: 99
+Strength: 7
Speed: Normal.

Results:
Average Build
Green Ski: 129-1426
Emergency Rescue Tube: 129-1220
Maple Snowboard: 139-1534

Dex Build
Green Ski:326-344
Emergency Rescue Tube: 316-330
Maple Snowboard: 351-370

My Interpretation:
I remember back when I was a level 64 beginner before OPQ came out, I trained at ratz. The exp was the best I could get. I tried different places, Horny Mushrooms, Evil Eyes, and Cold Eyes. But overall the best exp I could get was at Ratz. Later when I hit around level 72 or 73 Chronos became great experience, but that was due to a godly scrolled level 20 Frozen Tuna and awesome speed shoes and bone helm. So rats have 1,000 hp. Meanining that a beginner with the average build can take anytime from 1 hit to 9 hits to kill 1 ratz. But a dex beginner knows they will always kill it in 3 or 4 hits. Would you prefer to have such unreliable damage, just for a chance to be able to 1 hit the monster for 65 exp?

There is also another good option for Dex Beginners. They can train at Horny Mushrooms! I know you are probably thinking that Horny Mushrooms is a huge step down than Ratz but Horny Mushrooms only have 300 HP! Meaning you can kill it one hit and recieve a whopping 35 exp, more than half the exp Ratz give. You can get 105 exp in killing 3 horny mushrooms where the same number of hits would only give you 65, so as a dex beginner you will always know you can kill any monster in the horny mushroom maps you decide to train in, and such maps usually have green mushrooms in there so you are set!

Extra
I am not even sure if the beginner Sake bottles are out in GMS and if they are they must extremely rare. But if you happen to get your hands one you might consider to do what I call the Sake Dex build. A sake bottle is averagely 100 attack and only a level 30 weapon, the only downside is that you would need 110 strength to be able to use it so your stats would be as follows at level 71:
Strength: 110
Dexterity: 246
Luck: 4
Intelligence: 4

And if the bottle was also scrolled with 7/7 60%s your range would be: 318-882. Making the Sake Dex build an brilliant alternative for obvious reasons!

Ending
Thanks if you took the time to read my idea. I would really appreciate feedback!

I got the images from hidden-street.net and also used their damage calculator.

First off, your images don't like you. Photobucket pls. Second, under the "Benefits", I think it's worth noting that my comparison of HP and MP throughout Islanders showed you, the only Dex Islander in the study <_<, having notably more MP than anyone else. o_o

Other than that, I see nothing wrong with it, except for the author. (Kidding, nohatepls)

I fixed the pictures and added a reference to that little study we did.

Morroval is a DEX beginner. Sure, he basically has ~60% mastery... but his damage range maxes out at 150 (110-120 with enemy WDEF factored in), which isn't really good. At least, I found training horribly slow - 40%-ish an hour starting at level 20, not counting quests. I suppose with better equips (mine are barely above-average) you could pull it off, but in the early levels my damage just couldn't kill anything worth killing in any decent amount of time. Quests were actually my main source of exp, lol.

Killing Jr. Neckis at 25 while watching most other classes wince in agony was nice though :)

Props for the idea + data, of course.

Wow Eldin its great to meet you. I tried making a dex beginer before but decided not to go ahead with it and just made it an Islander mule.(I was planning on leveling on the island for a while).

I hope you continue with your beginner and get farther and farther.

A tip for you is to go to basilmarket, hidden-street, or any database that shows you monsters, and compare the HP/exp ratios.

Good idea ;P

I will test it out when Yellonde comes out.

I think this build might actually work out for beginners, the stable damage allows you to train at lower leveled monsters with great efficiency.

One thing you could add to the thread is a pure str beginner using a sake bottle, because currently it's not really a comparison.

I said this on the Islander forums so I guess I'll say it here too:

DEX Beginners fail at high levels. So what if you can hit higher levelled enemies than STR Beginners - what good is training on these monsters when it takes you at least 10-20 hits to kill them?

Even if you had some godly STR equips, STR would be a better option than DEX as STR deals far more damage.

The point isn't to be able to hit higher leveled monsters, it's to consistently kill lower leveled monsters.

Yeah exactly, as Juerve pointed out in a different forum, magicians are an example of class that will only train on monsters that they can kill in one one or two hits. Taking up to 9 hits to kill a ratz is ridiculous. The more stable the damage, the better and constant the experience is.

This is extremely useful for a beginner that trains alone. It also useful if you feel like leeching on monsters, you hit them and run, since dex adds so much accuracy.

High Dex is ok but pure dex?

The damage will SUCK (even among beginners) even though it's stable. You'd be killing zombie mushrooms forever with that kind of damage

With a good weapon and a 10dex sauna, a lvl 30 dex beginner can do arround 150-200 maybe o_o

Thats pretty good :D

Versus the 500 or so a Pure Str could pull off?

Whats wrong with training on zombie mushrooms? Whats the alternative?

Keep on eye on the hp/exp ratio.

And Hazz its versus the 25-500 damage a str would pull.
