Ok, so I heard that in order to lower your % loss exp when you die, I heard that:
if you have 14 base luck ~loss of exp is 5%
if you have 4 base luck ~loss of exp is 10%
Basically at the lowest end of the scale, % loss of exp is based on base luck, not luk added with equips apparently.
Is this true? I forgot which forum I read this in.
5 + 20/(base luk)
Applies to all but bowmen and beginners. B> bowman formula for sairs

Wait, but base on your above formula, if I have 4 base luk, I only lose 6.25%, or is your formula based on the standard 5% exp loss + that amount?

I think your error came in because you forgot to apply order of operations, division comes before addition.

I'm pretty sure exp loss was changed to be constant for all classes except magicians in January '08. Warriors lose 10%, bowmen lose 7%, and thieves lose 5% if I remember correctly. I know my archer always loses exactly 7% upon death.

That's because the formula for archers is 5 + 8/(base luk). It's variable for all classes.
