How much speed do you have?

I'm curious as to how much speed different bowmen have and how it affects training. Some of said 140 speed is best while others say keeping it at 12x is most effective. What do you guys think?:f2:

I have 111 (Sirius + 100% shoe scrolls, I'm cheap like that). 121 with pill, which I always use. 138 with bathrobe and maple crossbow (for traveling).

For me, speed is a personal thing. Whatever speed you have, its not "better, worse or recommended", its what you're used to.

I also have 110 jump which is pretty good for me...I still can't get a good handle on jumping while in haste, I guess I don't have enough hand to eye coordination so I fall and miss ropes a lot :f7:

I absolutely hate jump, I can't stand more then 5 of it.

Seeing how I just stand and snipe at newts, speed isn't a big deal. Either way i have 101 speed, (1 from overall). I have speed pills but I never use, that's what a hog is for.

Back in level 3x~7x, I had awesome speed equips. Before bathrobes even came out, I managed 140 speed with a pill =P
(Awesome speed equips that cost me like 5 mil =P)

Now I got 112. Speed isn't a factor in training as much anymore, but I'll start getting more speed soon, because I'm gonna start raising Thrust now that Bliz is 21 :f2:

I have 130 passive and 140 with a pill:
7 hat, 10 cape, 1 shoes, 1 overall, 11 crossbow, 10 pill.

I think i have 115 jump:
4 hat, 11 shoes.

I'm comfortable with this level of speed. Half the time when I'm training I'm partied with a Thief, and I have a mount for normal usage and sometimes while training. If I need more speed, I use a speed pill. I carry a stack around with me.

I absolutely hate Thrust, I refuse to put points into it. 140 speed, especially when it's passive and you can't get rid of it, is sometimes too much. It's harder to climb towers and you're more likely to accidentally run into a monster and start firing MB because each button press moves you a mile.

Buy something that adds 5 speed, and put it on?...

And I don't understand the can't-climb-towers thing. I've never had trouble, even with 130. The main reason why Haste makes it difficult is the jump bonus, not the speed. Well, both of them combined, really.

Then again, that's not taking jump/dex shoes into account, since I've always been too cheap to wear them.

My Metus is 11 speed, but that's all the speed equips I have. My shoes are 2 jump at the moment.

At level 45 (LOL compared to the rest of you all) I have over 140 with Pill, 137 without.
7 (Bow)+12 (Shoes)+8 (Helm)+10 (Cape)+10 (Pill)= 140(147)

Hat, bow, and cape are because i can't equip better things yet, Shoes because I Haven't scrolled a pair of shoes yet.

I use a metus with 11 speed, but that's my only piece of equipment with speed on it. So I guess 111. I'm still in the process of scrolling my bosshunter greaves so my jump isn't set in stone yet.

I just hop on the mount when I need speed, though I guess it can be dangerous in some areas (OMFG the gophers in Leafre. there's nothing scarier than getting stunned on a mount in the middle of a mob that can kill you in two hits.)

haha i getta update this :@ my new 110 att dark nisrock has a stunning 12 speed boost (lawl 12 speed :cool:) so my speed is now 136, for that last 4 to get a perfect non-haste hasted speed is to get 1 more 30% on my shoes if i can get a clean slate to work, and then hope for at least 3 30%/10%s onto an overall, if not, a 4 onto the overall.

I quit Maple, but I had a gameplan should I have stayed.

Most of the Bowmasters I talked to agreed that Inferno is not too useful in 4th job. They disagreed as to whether a person should put points into Inferno, but the vast majority said that Inferno has limited to no use in 4th job. To me, that said that I should not put points in Inferno. That allows one to max the other skills, including Thrust. 130 speed before anything else + pet equip or Metus = max speed. I think that's the best way to go.

121 Speed and 111 jump without any pills or thrust yet on my normal set.

I recently sold my old IC2 because the speed I have is just fine for training and for moving these days I use my hog. I am also in the process of trying to get rid of my old 12 speed snowshoes from the days of that old speed set.

As for what I get my speed and jump from:
1 speed 7 jump shoes
12 speed raven (xbow)
1 speed overall
7 speed 4 jump hat (lvl 90 pirate hat) [going to stop using it as soon as I can survive without the +90 hp it gives against a nest golem for a lvl 110 bowman hat]

I intend to add somewhere between 5-10 points into thrust so I don't see any problems in the way of speed in my future.

well, i can make another update to my speed, if i plan my build right, i can max Strafe, Rain, MB, Puppet, and have have 10 points into thrust and 1 into inferno. At that point, ill have 20 points left, and i have hawk at 20. So, I can max hawk, and have another 10 points left, would it be better for me to max thrust, or to get 21 inferno.

I've got 140% thanks to Thrust and Speed Pills. At Newties, which is where I spend my time training, speed doesn't play a big role because they are stationary monsters. I do feel, however, that when the time comes to move to Skelegons the extra speed will help to manoeuvre between them.

If you have a mount, thrust i think is kinda useless, cept at training. If you don't have a mount like me, 140% speed is a god send.

mount isnt everything, and like you said, its not usefull really in training, but everywhere you go its "ah you n00b, j00 hab 10 thrust, n00b, moont is better dan thrust j00 a n00b" kid you not X_X but when you are training, you cant use mount because you cant heal on it, which absolutely sucks.

On my ranger, I have 113% speed and 105% jump. At this point though, I don't need much mobility since I train at Newties/Typhons/Gobies, which mostly involves me staying in one spot.

On my lvl 50 xBowGirl though, I have 135% speed without a pill, 140% with. A must-have at CPQ/STD's for me.
