Played around on my old Shadower for a bit just to test it out, pretty sweet.

Dam, the new Bstep speed kicks ass! :D

Especially at the lvl 131 mobs at the last monster map in the Temple of Time, you really pwn0rz teh shietzorz out of them! :D

Epic...just epic...

P.S. For gampad users: set rate to 11 for the bstep combo's, not 30! :)

My only disappointment is that the new delay is not 1 second, but rather around ~1.4 seconds.

I just did a quick timer test and got 42 BS in 1 minute... anyone else getting a result close to this?

That's no reason to be disappointed, Francisco. The sole purpose of this reduction is to allow us Shadower to chain any attack inbetween BSteps. As long as we can BoT and SB without having to wait for BStep's delay to catch up, we got what we wanted.

I GOT WHAT I WANTED

Well, there's not much of a difference anyways. Since even a faster(2) SB is 720 MS, it'll take two to cover the delay anyways. The only difference is you need to wait .2 seconds after two BoTs to use it again.

Quick question, is it harder than most other jobs to get to 2nd job? 3rd job? 4th job?

Not even. You gotta factor in the time of BStep itself (690/720ms) meaning your standing-still time is only ~700ms.

About just enough time to plop in another attack. Even if it was only 1 second, spamming it by itself would only be a little better, and a lot less interesting.

I thought people said that kMS was like Bstep > BoT > Bstep > BoT.

In gMS it's still Bstep > BoT > BoT > Bstep... But it does it fine with Bstep > Sblow > Bstep

Is that the same in kMS or did gMS get it's own version of Bstep delay? I'm beginning to think they aimed the Bstep delay so we can only use it properly with Sblow (they added Bstep time + 720ms from Sblow, and forgot BoT (600ms) was SHORTER then Sblow...)

Anyone from kMS / mSEA can confirm if THEIR Bstep delay is STILL shorter then ours now?
Especially the Bstep > BoT > BoT > Bstep... I really thought I heard people say Bstep > BoT > Bstep...

I can BStep>BoT>BStep just fine... you guise need to stop nitpicking and accept how awesome this is.

Indeed, this works fine for me as well. Though I do notice there's still some delay time between BoT -> BS, but it's close to nothing.
BS -> SB -> BS owns though! Did that Boss PQ yesterday with some friends, Pianus only hit me like twice during the whole fight cause I wasn't paying much attention to the attacks. :P

But yeah, Band of Thieves is still screwed up though. But it's still kinda nice how it works now at some places, even though it's not supposed to work like that. ;x

I can BStep>BoT>BStep just fine... you guise need to stop nitpicking and accept how awesome this is.That's because you work with a slow keyboard.

I work with a gamepad that repeats combo's up to 100x per second, and I can assure you that the delay allows 2 bots to be -started- before you can Bstep again. It's not that 2 BoT's can complete within the delay, it's just that the 2nd BoT starts 0.1 seconds before the delay of Bstep ends (so it's really sucky to use BoT because it crashes your DPM a LOT if you keep spamming).

The only way to cancel this is to reduce the repeat rate to like 2 repeats per second, but that's obiously retarded slow. Or, I can do it the RSI way, and actually click and release the combo buttons on my gamepad time after time, but I dont really want to get RSI from this game...

Anyway, noone is using BoT anyway anymore, since it still sucks in gMS (lolrange -.-) and it unstuns a monster that you just stunned with bstep... it's like a choice:
- Kill 5% faster with 500x the pot usage, or
- Kill 5% slower without using any pots at all (Max Chakra + Blood Shad ftw :P).

So no, I'm not complaining, Bstep is really really fast now, and totally kicks ass! I Just used it at Zakum and it's awesome for even better spawn control then before and extra DPM!

It's just... say goodbye to BoT in gMS... :)

Oh yeah, I only got hit like 25 times at the whole zakum body... it was really annoying... Anti-Bot protection kept disabling all my skills because I was standing at the same spot spamming skills all the time without moving or getting moved by attacks... epic... just epic...

In a thread on basil, fransisco said that BStep delay is now 1410ms. This would mean you have an actual delay of 720ms, so if you fill it with SB, you'll have a perfect flow. If you chain it with Bot, you'll have 30ms left to activate Bot again... Makes you wish they'd decrease the delay by 30ms.

But hey, at least shadowers are now what they were truly meant to be; the people who don't get hit.

Beautiful without a doubt. I can train for hours on end without even using 500 pots. x] Gotta say, this patch is one of my favorites.

Isn't that a form of botting basically? :f1:

Isn't that a form of botting basically? :f1:A normal keyboard rate is about 250 repeats per second, if you would have a keyboard that can pass 2 keystrokes at once (some keyboard can), its even faster then a gamepad. A gamepad is nothing more then a keyboard that can pass multiple keystrokes at once... I don't see how that's related to botting in any way, because using a keyboard would be botting too... ;).
