God damn, I can't make up my mind on this one.
I'm level 127. 60 base DEX. Great equipment and damage (4086 max range w/ Warrior Elixir).

Level 21 BStep, level 1 Fake, level 1 Venom, level 1 Assassinate.
There's lots of build options I can take from here.
-Max out BStep
-Get Venom to 10 or 20
-Get Assassinate to 21
-Get Fake to 10 or 20
-Get 9 MW.

FUCK. I don't know w hat the hell to do. I know everyone's going to run in here and say Venomvenomvenom, but I like skills that I can actually use. I love papping so 21 Assassinate would be hot there. I guess maxing BStep is always cool but the damage boost per point now is only half of what it was from 1~20. Maple Warrior boosts my damage overall, but most of the time I'll be getting it anyways through parties. Fake lowers my pot costs overall.

God dammit.

I like attack skills, so I'd go BStep or assassinate, but that's just me, it's your decision.

Why not max MW to 9? Well 5 seems like a decent lvl to keep it at, and since I usually train with 130+ at newties anyways, they usually have lvl 9 MW.

level 5 vemon is not a good move. you'd want vemon at a level where it poisons longer or its chances of poisoning is increased. good vemon levels would be 4, 7, 10, etc. OR 11, 21. its why most people cap vemon at 28 to work on other skills then go back and max it later.

the archmages have a lot of skills to add too and they do the same thing.

I know what you're saying. I honestly want to put points in to Assassinate because I like bossing. But then again, I've heard plenty of Shadowers saying they "thought they wanted to do the same" and they had regrets because lack of Venom resulted in slower training.
Fake is hot as fuck and I've even had thoughts of maxing full-out from 130~140, but again, I like attacking skills... skills I can use. Assasinate.

Seriously, 4th job for shadowers is just like 3rd job for us. We use pretty much every single skill we have; hence why there are so many variations in 3rd and 4th job builds. Septher's candy jar full of awesome candy pretty much nails it, and I completely forgot about fake =X. Now I dont know what I wanna do either :f3:

How about 1 fake -> 1 assassinate -> 21 bstep -> 7 venom -> 5 MW (now you're lvl 131) -> 21 assassinate. Most people start being useful in bosses by late 13x, which by then you'll have a good lvl of assassinate. That sounds like a good plan for me.

avoid from fake is nice but if u have money to blow it really doesnt make a diff

attacking skills>support skills> other stuff.

plus if u max bstep then venom faster training means u get to lvl faster anyway.

I would say max out bstep then work on fake to 20. Venom for a shadower IMO is useless and assasinate doesn't really help you training wise. You should have your fake 20 by late 13x~. Then you can work on MW,Assasinate or Venom (eww).

I think you should go for maxed BS, and about 10 in both Venom and Assassinate will do. But Assassinate won't really help much in training, so you might want to consider to put points onto Venom instead.

You would probably want to have maxed Fake so that you can join HT runs too as a seducing bait. Getting MW at low levels sounds pointless, since you'll be in a party most of the time with bishops that has MW.

You're on the right track. I'd get:
19 Venom (24%) (exactly 6 levels)
Max Bstep (exactly 3 levels)
Max Venom (30%... leave here till uhh... nearly forever) (exactly 3 levels)
1 Smoke Shell
Max Shadow Shifter (not called Fake... >_>)


MW you get from 95% of other 4th jobbers. Don't need that. Assassinate isn't useful until you can 1hko skeles with it quickly. Even then many don't like the skill and still skip over it.

Honestly..... Taunt may be a good option after SS since Shadowers tend to mob anyways.

I didn't mean useless as in you shouldn't put any points in it. For me venom 1 is just fine as a level 14x shadower I still 2~3 hit (bstep>taunt>bstep) skeles/newties so it's all good at level 1 for me. Plus your mobs shouldn't even be lasting you that 4/6 seconds to show that 20k venom. I just meant that venom shouldn't be at the top of your list. Bstep>Fake>MW>Taunt>Venom>Assasinate.

Dont waste SP on stupid 4th job skills. Go max Endure and Lucky 7 and start owning nubs :D

On a serious note, dont forget that the 5% from MW is quite sexy when adding to your damage range. Then again, if you are training with a bishop or basically any other 4th jobber, they have it.
